And now…. the REAL Cartoon of the Day!

    Have a nice day!

Sen. Barack Obama’s Floor Speech, March 20, 2006 — “The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that “the buck stops here.” Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.”

Oh and by the way, wasn’t that comment made during the Bush fiasco?

That speech was made while G W was in office. The difference is, Bush was making absolutely no effort to lower the debt. Quite the opposite, in fact. His goal was to be known as the “war president,” and he succeeded. Obama has made an attempt to try and rectify the mistakes of the past while fighting an intransigent congress that has pledged allegiance to Grover Norquist, not the people of the country. This is a congress that just says no to everything. Even to things they have been in favor of in the past. Then whine about unconstitutionality when Obama uses Executive Orders to try and move things forward. Dammit, OMG, you have to know that this congress is the worst we have ever had. If you don’t see it, you are in deep denial. Ask yourself, if you were president, and everything you tried to accomplish was immediately shot down by the congress. What would you do? Just sit in the oval office and say O.K.? I don’t think so.

      Have a great day!

So let me get this straight….. while Bush is in office, running up the debt and raising the debt ceiling is a bad thing …. but while Obozo is in office, it’s a good thing. That’s the way it rolls, eh Metro?

Boy, Metro, you’re overly excited about leftist cliche’s and myths today, arent you? Dipping into the Grover Norquist boogie man pile, eh? Don’t be so stupid to believe that one man who encourages less taxation is the person TO whom a Congressman pledges allegiance. Only a fool really believes that, Metro. There is a difference between pledging to adhere to one’s political promises and beliefs than there is pledging allegiance to one man. The pledge to NOT raise taxes is a pledge to the American taxpayer, and you know it Metro. Besides, if anyone is a cult figure, Metro, it’s your messiah Obozo, not some nameless faceless group.

Re: the Congress. I hate to actually inform you of this, Metro, but our Founders actually set up a form of government with 3 CO- EQUAL branches of government, each with a check and balance on the other. Sorry to inform you, but Obozo was NOT elected King. Just because he was reelected does not mean the opposition party must roll over and do as the king says they must. Tough crap, buddy. The Republicans won OVERWHELMINGLY in Congress again in 2012 and those of us that voted for them DEMAND that they stop EVERY single Obozo agenda item that they can. Further, he is NOT a dictator and does NOT get to create executive orders that bypass the legislative process because he cannot get laws passed. Like the DREAM Act and Cap and Trade that he could not get passed. THAT IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL. I’m not talking about creating orders about HUD passing housing data to Treasury. That’s what EO’s are for. They are NOT for replacing the legislative process.

What about the hundreds of bills sent to the Senate, including passed budgets, that Dirty Harry has shoved in the garbage in the Senate? NONE have even gone to committee for review and consent. WHY??????????? Who is stonewalling whom, Metro? I’ll tell you why. Obozo has been the one stonewalling Congress and Dirty Harry is just doing exactly as his master tells him. This is all part of Obozo’s BLAME SOMEONE ELSE strategy that you guys on the left lick up like a dog licks up vomit. It’s simply not anywhere near reality.

If I was president and everything I tried to do was shot down, I might actually take a conciliatory tone and begin working with the opposition. Like presidents in the past have done. Obozo does NOTHING like this. He’ll have the once in a while photo opp with Boner at a conference table, but then stab him in the back 5 minutes later with assinine insults and refusals to compromise HIS side while instisting that Boner must compromise his side. Boner is just too stupid and keeps going into Obozo’s traps. This repeats itself every 3 or 4 months and on every major issue.

Do you think it’s a good idea to have a law that Congress does not get paid unless they do their duty and pass a budget?

        Have a nice evening, Metro!

Take a conciliatory tone? He tried that. This congress isn’t going to listen to any pansy-ass conciliation. Norquist wants no taxes when it is obvious that there has to be an increase in revenue. Who in hell IS Grover Norquist?

What do you consider overwhelming? Republicans actually lost a couple of seats. And at the rate their popularity is falling 2016 could be way less that overwhelming. They may be the one’s overwhelmed. You think they are doing a great job, but that’s a minority opinion right now. They are not doing their job and 60% or more of the country doesn’t believe they are doing their job. As to not paying Congress unless they do their duty and pass a budget? I’m OK with that. Money is a great motivator. In fact, I would consider a law that would allow an instant recall of the worthless jackasses and replace the whole bunch.

“My opponent deserves to be kicked to death by a jackass. And I’m just the guy who can do it. — unknown congressional candidate

As you well know by now that mustgo only has a one track mind and even when shown that he wrong won’t change his one track mind.

          • ObozoMustGo

Good morning Metro. I hope you are well today. I was wondering what part of “Elections have consequences. I won, you lost” is conciliatory? That’s the first thing Obozo said to the Repubs after he won the first time. If the Congress is losing popularity, it’s only because 90% of the media is in the tank for Obozo and his narrative is all that comes out. The other reason may be that Boner is a feckless leader and gets suckered by Obozo time and again with the same tactics. It may also be because they are going to raise the debt ceiling again when 50% of America knows this is a bad, bad move in our current situation. It may be all of the above, and likely is. But I don’t care. They should do their jobs and NOT give in to a single leftist agenda item that Obozo wants, unless it involves REAL, ACTUAL, SPENDING CUTS, not decreases in projected increases. Only stupid Americans actually believe a decrease in a projected increase is a cut. Then again, those were the low information Obozo voters. You know the type… the ones that know who the last winner of American Idol was before they know the name of their congressman. Those are definitely Obozo voters.

No one knew who Grover was until the leftist freaks made him into a boogie man. I’m sure he thanks them for it.

Re: rum…. I need another bottle already… and another pound of butter. This sick is really sticking with me…. :-)

Have a great day, Metro. Send my regards to Mrs. Metro!
