A story for Black History Month.

Bryan Stevenson is director of the Equal Justice Initiative, a Montgomery, Ala.-based organization he founded in 1989 to provide legal representation for the indigent and incarcerated. The EJI (www.eji.org) doesn’t charge its clients but, says Stevenson, he will sometimes require them to read selected books.

You didn’t even mention the lynchings.

This is a state where the Governor stood in the doorway of the university of Alabama to prevent Afro-Americans from entering. The entire South should be ashamed for this practice. I’ve heard that they in the south are still angry about the Civil war and at this point, my veiw is to let them succeed. They rank near the bottom in education, and have some of the worst health outcomes, lead in obesity, and they are dragging us down with their backward veiws, and the funniest thing is they think that they know Jesus the best. Alabama is the laughing stock of the rest of the country.

Amazin’! Ain’t it? And the Republicans will gladly tell you it was Democrats who perpetrated this stuff, too. And you know what? They are right. What they fail to tell you is that after the 1968 elections, Southern Democrats en masse defected to the Republican Party because of Democrats from the North, Midwest and West support of Civil Rights legislation, especially that sponsored by Richard Nixon.

Good point Howz1. These sister marrying racist retards truly believe God & Jesus are hateful bigots just like they are. Too bad the people in the south are’nt as nice as the scenery is. It truly is “God’s country” down here in the south but mostly Satan’s people.
