The Ass-Whuppin’ Cometh

It’s Election Day…the latest and last pre-election Democracy Corps poll shows President Obama up by four points nationally…so Stan and I are feeling pretty good about today’s results. There’s nothing in other national polls or state polls to contradict our assessment about this election – and if anything, the president gained momentum in the final day or so.

Instead of learning from experience, the Republicans continue their war on science and facts. Now they’re furious that anyone would dare use polling data to predict an election outcome that isn’t going their way, and taking it out on Nate Silver, the polling blogger at the New York Times.

If a play were opening tonight, I think the title should be “The Ass-Whuppin’ Cometh.”

      Keep in mind, every seat in the House is up for election. Hopefully voters will remember that the GOP majority agenda was to block anything with a Democratic origin. We need representatives who know that they are there to serve their constituents. There is a very good chance we could have a united House and Senate, and the GOP minority will be deservedly irrelevant. It’s time to get back to working for the American people.

    What the Republicans forget or never knew, was that Silver’s model predicted the 2010 House landslide almost tot he seat…and had the race for the House that way months in advance of the election.

    I feel in my heart that the American voters have voted to back the President but in reality I will hold my breathe for a bit longer… I worry because everyone knows that Republi-pricks Don’t play fair just like Bush did Florida…..     I’m wishing President Obama the very best in the next 4 years because he is a true and strong leader that can lead America forward toward a lasting prosperity, by early 2015. Now, I’m optimistic and confident that Speaker Boehner and President Obama would reach a compromise in avoiding the fiscal cliff by extending the Middle-Class and small businesses tax cut!

    I stand with President Obama in extending the tax cut to the Middle-Class 98% percent and small business the 97% percent and to let the tax cut to the whealthiest 2% percent, to expire as I believe strongly that those making $1,000,000,00 or more can pay a little more in taxes!
