Sadly, those who were wealthy and well-connected had their Daddies get them deferments, just like Dick Cheney got 5 of them. Or, like George Bush, Daddy pulled strings and got him put at the top of the list for service that would keep him our of harm’s way in Viet Nam. To top it off, his Daddy got him out 18 months EARLY after he didn’t show up for drug testing, went AWOL and also DESERTED (AWOL for over 30 days). If that were anyone else, they would have been in the brig.

Did Mitt or anyone say they were for ‘endless wars’. I don’t think so. But when and if China invades because they have so many people to feed and need our wheat fields do we just sit back and pray. Unfortunately life has never been a bed of roses and over the centuries someone has come along to try to take ‘yours’ away, especially land. Napoleon did, the Romans did and Hitler did. Now Argentina wants to take the Falklands away from the Falklanders and they would if someone was not there with a bigger club to stop them. That’s life! If you have oil, gold or wheat fields you better be prepared for an invader!
