#EndorseThis: Jimmy Kimmel Sticks It To Roseanne For Getting Kicked Off TV

By now, you’ve probably gotten the play-by-play. Roseanne Barr’s edgy Twitter feed finally went over the top yesterday as the aging sitcom actress tweeted racially-charged insults at former Obama staffer Valerie Jarrett. Retribution is swift in the 21st century. Within a day, the popular show Roseanne has been cancelled by ABC, and its former star has been forced to apologize.

In today’s clip, Jimmy Kimmel addresses the Roseanne controversy in a surprisingly soft-spoken way. The comic says his peace about the actress’ idiotic and insensitive tweet and moves on quickly, but not without unloading a choice haymaker. We won’t dare spoil the fun. But if you’ve got a brain, you’ll want to hear Jimmy’s zinger at :33.

Kimmel follows-up with a parody of what Roseanne would look like with only John Goodman starring by his lonesome. The footage feels a little empty but the branding is great. If you ask National Memo, it beats the hell out of King Ralph.
