You are spinning your answer. You also sidestepped the Constitution question. FYI, I happen to know quite a few millionaires. They are all paying nearly 50% of their incomes to taxes. It is a very small percentage (about 0.1%) who pay little or no taxes compared to 49% of income earners who are not millionaires who pay no income taxes. You also ignored the true facts about what part of taxes the rich pay versus their share of the income and percentage of population. The reality is, that a ‘fair share’ would be equal to their share of the income, well below what they are paying today.

The Constitution – AGAIN – mandates that this DOESN’T narrow down to a ‘me’, vs. ‘them’, vs. ‘us’, vs. ‘we’ – but rather ALL TOGETHER – we FINANCE a Democracy TOGETHER. U’r asking a question as if all these taxes are fixed sums. They aren’t. None of this can be divided along an ‘absolutist’ configuration. & the rich – AGAIN – don’t create the jobs – SMALL BUSINESSES – those w/incomes up to $1 million yearly. The very same one’s being penalized for not being rich enuff. The millionaires & billionaires are PAYING politicians to enforce commanding a corporate media ‘line’ about the rich as job creators, ONLY b/c they don’t want to pay ANY taxes whatever. Ruthlessness, in ‘fixing’ the ‘system’ in their favor, isn’t a luxury U, me or the millions of struggling ‘small’ businesses have an option. But as in WI, the rich are able to BUY xactly what they want – be it politicians, law, or the minds of 100′s of 1000′s of voters to ignore the FACT that when ALL Americans are paying a FAIR SHARE, America, somehow, someway, seems to work MUCH better. When we ALL are pitching in & NOT trying to SCAM a way out of our CITIZENSHIP duties…

I’m sorry you don’t have a better grasp on economics. But just a few questions. If the wealthy, who make up 1% of the taxpayers, who make 25% of the income and pay 40% of the income tax, pay more, just how does that help you? You are busy working, but does that work pay you enough to have money left over to invest in starting new business ventures that can employee more people? You appear not to believe that there is equality for all Americans, but then how do you explain how people with modest or poor backgrounds, living in the same economic environment as you, manage to become part of the 1%? Don’t claim it doesn’t happen, because it does and more frequently than most people suppose. Is it just because they are ‘lucky’ or is it because they made good decisions during their lives? You are right about the disintegration of the national fabric and the environment. As long as the world’s population growth continues, there is absolutely nothing we can do to forestall environmental catastrophe. As far as our national fabric is concerned, this nation was built by immigrants who came here looking for a chance not a hand-out. Some lost pursuing that dream, but more succeeded. I will tell you that chance still exists, but it is only up to you whether your life gets better or not. It will not be because government provides more goodies or some rich person gets taxed more.

Mr. Bill; any 1 w/ANY level of common sense understands we, at the Middle Class level are too busy working to keep the ‘ends’ meeting than waste time on envy. U in fact have it backwards, as it’s the the wealthy who are employing ALL their tax cut dollars available to reduce the potential for the CONSTITUTIONALLY mandated qualities of justice & equality of OPPORTUNITY for ALL Americans, as they’ve enjoyed for the last 11 CONSECUTIVE YEARS! Who has or even WANTS such power? I don’t, but apparantly the wealthy are obsessed w/it, as they’re risking – as we’ve seen w/this latest round of economic reports, of AGAIN, rupturing the economy & causing more joblessness & consequently, another prospective recession/depression – all to INJURE opportunities for the Middle Class & working poor, in achieving OPPORTUNITIES which they ALONE are able to take advantage of – consequently destroying any chances of our best option of regaining what economic mobility lost b/c of the 2001-2009 executive, via an Obama re-election victory. For the wealthy, it doesn’t matter if Obama wins – they lose nothing, essentially. But w/a Romney victory, they get to keep building even greater wealth, while U, me & the entire Middle Class & working poor get to continue watching the slow, torturous disentigration of a once great Democracy & w/it, all hope for the youth of this same class, the unraveling of the environment of the only Earth we have, growing educational inequality, but more important, more conversations like THIS, where we can’t even agree on whether we’re a ‘republic’, a ‘Democracy’, a ‘plutocracy’ or a ‘kleptocracy (government CONTROLLED by those obsessed w/gaining greater status & wealth, @the expense of the GOVERNED) – which we seem not far from now… In any case, we’re moving further FROM Democracy, w/out input from a rational, engaged citizenry…

You are making an assumption about ‘one or two’. Without proper checking of identification, we would have no way to determine the eligibility of a voter. As far as allowing convicted felons to have their voting right restored, that is up to our legislators. Losing one’s voting rights for felony was a known consequence for committing a felony, similar to the possibility of spending time in jail. As the old adage goes, “if you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime”. Why are you not as incensed about all of the out-of-state labor money and support going to Wisconsin as you are ‘wealthy donors’? And you also don’t have a clue about ‘tax cuts’. Your rant is nothing more than a wealth envy admission.

… & yet, the problem has been & remains electronic voting machines & post-election ballet ‘TAMPERING’, which has the ‘indisputable effect’ of altering an ENTIRE election – not just ‘ONE, TWO’ people here or there or, or in the case of felons, not knowing whether they’re actually eligible or not. & speaking of, what’s a better way of incorporating society’s ‘outcasts’ than allowing them a means of re-integrating themselves BACK into ‘normal’ society, by giving them the opportunity to engage & participate in such vital civic functions as an election? Prohibiting them from the process – especially if they’re politically ‘aware’ after their debt is paid to society & they see political corruption of the type carried out between 2001-2009 or how tax cuts do nothing more than recycle money back & forth between the ‘UNRULY’ wealthy & corrupt politicians (i.e., Walker of WI having been ‘bought’ already & now is having his recall election ‘tab’ paid for by tax cut cash from wealthy donors – cash the nations is lacking, but SORELY NEEDS for budgetary, infrastructure, maintenance & entitlement obligations) that’s responsible for the current immobility afflicting local, state & federal legislative processes? We see a text-book case of the who, what & why of ‘REPRESENTATIVES most able to define Democracy in ways most amenable to the citizenry – NOT just for the benefit of a single ‘class’ (rich/corporate) exclusively. This article DEMANDS we, the PEOPLE, understand what a ‘Democratic’ (as in ‘Democracy’ – NOT the PARTY!!!) legacy looks like, which in turn, DEMANDS our engagement, so we’re instrumental in making sure the Constitutions ‘progeny’ – the PEOPLE, have the input the Constitution ENTITLES US to. But ending tax cuts is the best way to ensure the election & voting processes ares fully funded & free of even the slightest hint of tampering, foul-play or corruption in any way, shape or form…
