Fox News Pundit Thankful For Lack Of Black Panthers In NH Town [Video]

Fox News radio host Todd Starnes took a moment on Tuesday morning to explain how Dixville Notch’s early voting represents what’s great about America: civic participation, patriotism, and a lack of “black panthers with baseball bats.”

Video of Starnes’ bizarre comments is below, courtesy of Talking Points Memo:

I love this, this is what America is all about. Like you said, no hanging chads, we didn’t see any black panthers with baseball bats. These were good, American folks going to do their patriotic duty and I think it’s fantastic, Dixville Notch is just a great little place.

Starnes’ fears of a race war breaking out in rural New Hampshire are probably unfounded; according to Talking Points Memo, none of Dixville Notch’s 12 citizens are black (although there’s no data on their baseball bat ownership.)

"To the extent that this propaganda takes hold, it makes it more difficult for us to really see this as an authoritarian versus democracy battle."
