Huckabee Sells ‘Obamacare’ Gun Targets

Huckabee Sells ‘Obamacare’ Gun Targets

Mike Huckabee is offering supporters a truly remarkable piece of campaign swag: In exchange for a donation, they can take their guns and shoot up a target marked with the word ‘Obamacare’!

“Let’s show President Obama we believe in the Constitution and the 2nd Amendment – not gun control,” Huckabee’s fundraising page says. “We stand opposed to his executive order AND his out-of-control Washington policies.”

“Donate $25 and receive a pack of three targets for your next trip to the range.”

In addition to the Obamacare target pictured above (which depicts the president’s name and the “O” campaign logo) Huckabee is also offering donors the chance to shoot Common Core education standards — which are not Obama’s policies at all, but began as an initiative of the states to synchronize their school curricula. (Obama has supported Common Core, and created financial incentives to adopt it. And so the right wing has turned it into another bogeyman.)

Friendly apple for the teacher?

And there is also the large and complicated federal tax code, which Huckabee wants to replace with a regressive national retail sales tax as the federal government’s primary source of income.

It’s perhaps worth noting that if some hypothetical Huckabee supporter were to use these targets but then suffer an injury — perhaps due to a lack of proper education in the physical sciences — their medical aid would be protected by Obamacare, which might in turn help them to get a tax refund.

Marjorie Taylor Mouth Makes Another Empty Threat

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene

I’m absolutely double-positive it won’t surprise you to learn that America’s favorite poster-person for bluster, blowhardiness and bong-bouncy-bunk went on Fox News on Sunday and made a threat. Amazingly, she didn’t threaten to expose alleged corruption by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy by quoting a Russian think-tank bot-factory known as Strategic Culture Foundation, as she did last November. Rather, the Congressperson from North Georgia made her eleventy-zillionth threat to oust the Speaker of the House from her own party, Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA), using the Motion to Vacate she filed last month. She told Fox viewers she wanted to return to her House district to “listen to voters” before acting, however.

Trump Campaign Gives Access To Far-Right Media But Shuns Mainstream Press

Trump campaign press pass brandished on air by QAnon podcaster Brenden Dilley

Trump's Hour On CNN Was A Profile In Cowardice

Vanity Fair recently reported that several journalists from mainstream publications, including The Washington Post, NBC News, Axios, and Vanity Fair, were denied press access to Trump’s campaign events, seemingly in retaliation for their previous critical coverage. Meanwhile, Media Matters found that the campaign has granted press credentials to the QAnon-promoting MG Show and Brenden Dilley, a podcaster who has promoted the QAnon conspiracy theory and leads a “meme team” that creates pro-Trump content.
