I do agree with Colin N in all truth we know when the US started to decline and denial not a river in egypt got us under instead working on the real problem every one was shouting for war that we truely needed at the time but even that was abused we know how ;we stayed to damn long; and real reasoning went out the window with our leaders steering it. Alot of us objected but not enough and not hard enough .In Bush’s second term said straight out what was coming and that he was doing nothing about it so we went under .In my opinion that should have been real grounds for impeachement but the Democrats are not cryers alone with the depresstion of our country over 911 but our little President is eather weak or does not care as long as it did not affect him he just let us die .I am one that lost my home in this deal with serious health problems and insurance fights that took to long and banks tyhat would not work with me .I even tried to work in my back yard but codes threatened to put me in jail for working on lawn mowers .Now I have to drive by and see some one else living in my home that I worked hard for ever 20 years to get the money to buy .One more thing a rich REPUBLICAN lawyer bought it and it is rented to MIGRANT WORKERS .I did ask every one I could for help but I could not even hire a lawyer with out money as I struggled for about eighteen months with insurance codes and trying to work but I guess everone with money is REPUBS and they are not helping. at 60 years old I will never be able to own a home again unless I win a lottery but on these grounds I NEVER VOTE FOR ANOTHER REPUBLICAN as long as I live .I live at the back of a junk yard now it all I can afford I am ashamed to have my grand children over .I feel like my country has left people like me to pesants .and this is what ROMNEY REPRSENTS to do to AMERICA .

…where does the money come from for the stimulus spending, sir? Taxes? Loans? The Fed? There is no place to get this “magic money” that does not produce more debt. When you have maxed out all your credit cards and get another credit card so that you can keep your cash flow going, you are only putting yourself further and further into debt. Keynsian economics supports “priming the cash pump”, but once you have primed the pump several times and there is no water flow, you know the well has dried up. There are many old expressions which cover this nicely… “Beating a dead horse” is definitely one… “Throwing good money after bad” would be another, if there was any “good money” left. Not allowing ourselves to spend our way into this problem would have been wise. Not spending any more is essential.. More stimulus is simply a colossal game of Jinga. It WILL topple if we keep removing pieces of the foundation.

Hi Sid, you sound like a man who take the time to plan for the future. I really applaud you for that. Some, did not, and don’t have the opportunity to plan. For some, it takes working hard just to put food on the table. President Obama is working hard to keep Medicaid for children, Medicare for the Disabled and Elderly, working hard for Veterans and the Unemployed. It’s my hope that he will keep working for All of us. Who ever support President Obama is their choice.

For one thing govt. spending on job creation if these programs were effective would create jobs for more people. Hopefully ones where one can progress to higher levels as opposed to dead end work. Govt. spending creates jobs in itself because fed. spending helps create a larger infro structure and therefore more persons to be paid to be part of the jobs that infro structure creates. Some examples: more and better transportation, creating more roads, housing and much more.

Mitt Romney say the public schools in America are getting a Third World Education, for what little he knows he should want that kind of education, because that is the British way and the British education is much higher advance than the public schools here in the USA. But he will talk about charter schools because his hands are in the tax payers pockets AS USUAL, Romney set his son up in a TEN MILLION DOLLARS BUSINESS INVOLVING CHARTER SCHOOLS. WHY NOT PUT THAT KIND OF FUNDS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS. WHEN THE GOP CUT FOOD STAMPS AND CHILDREN CANNOT EAT PROPER AND HAVE TO GO TO SCHOOL HUNGRY, PLACE IN A CLASS ROOM WITH THIRTH FIVE TO FORTY CHILDREN HOW COULD THESE FOOLS EXPECT THESE CHILDREN TO LEARN UNDER THESE CONDITIONS. AND TELL THE GOP- TELL THE TRUTH THESE LIES ARE NOT WORKING. THE WORLD IS WATCHING

On Inaugural Day, the Senate GOP met and agreed on a strategy of opposing anything Obama proposed in order to limit him to one term. The GOP has since even voted against legislation they had previously proposed. I will not say race is the issue. Had Hillary won, the GOP would have sabotaged her has well. Politics has grown meaner over the years. Regardless of party, the poisonous attitudes of nearly all elected officials is harmful to the nation as a whole.
