Mitt Romney In 2002: My ‘Views Are Progressive’ [Video]

Amateur opposition researcher Andrew Kaczynski — a 22 year old student at St. Johns University who spends his free time watching old political videos and uploading them to his Youtube page — has unearthed another embarrassing video of Mitt Romney trying to court voters in liberal Massachusetts.

In the video, Romney assures voters that he is “not a partisan” Republican, but in fact a “moderate” whose “views are progressive.”

The video, which is sure to appear in anti-Romney attack ads before long, is certainly not going to help Romney’s quest to attract conservative support and counter the widely held perception that he is a flip-flopper.

It is just the latest in a series of videos discovered by Kaczynski which Romney would rather forget. As New York Magazine’s Jason Zengerle put it in a recent profile, “the words ‘via Andrew Kaczynski’ may now be the most unwelcome phrase in Romney headquarters.”
