Democrats need your help to pass President Obama's second term agenda. Sign up and show him you have his back!
He has had TOO much…time to “THROW HIM OUT OF THE BAR !!!!!”
I just can’t comprehend why Americans vote for people like him; stubborn, ignorant, old, two-faced, and a good listener of a little worm named Kantor…But the ring only has four corners and he has been to all four of them…Time to get out!
When you start dinner with a “double old fashioned”, the cartoon is not far off the mark.
I love it! A great cartoon! The trouble is that it is so close to the truth.
And now…. the REAL Cartoon of the Day!
[click image to enlarge] Sadly, most of you leftist morons buy the lies that Obozo is selling you. Here’s a graph of the truth.
Have a nice day!
“The task of weaning various people and groups from the national nipple will not be easy. The sound of whines, bawls, screams and invective will fill the air as the agony of withdrawal pangs finds voice.” — Linda Bowles
OB1….thanks for sharing. Some might counter that quote as being reflective of the 1%, or the Wealthy Welfare Recipients, but that wouldn’t be moi…..
T… haven’t they suddenly changed the vernacular to “the 2%” now? Have you noticed that? Remeber, all year it was “the 1%”? I think it became 2% after the election for some reason. Hmmmmmmmm….. funny how that happens. When will it expand to “the 5%” or 10% or 20% or 25%? It’s coming you know. In fact, I’d say it’s already here, they just don’t talk about it publicly. How do I say that? Answer this question:
How is it in leftist freak math that $250,000 = millionaires and billionaires? Please tell me. I’m baffled by that math.
Don’t believe me that they say that? Watch Jay Carney’s press conference today. He says exactly that. Go ahead. Watch it.
Have a nice day!
“Society is endangered not by the great profligacy of a few, but by the laxity of morals amongst all.” ― Alexis de Tocqueville, Democracy in America
Well everyone but the poor received some benefit from the TEMPORARY Bush tax cuts that are now 13 years in existence. I think we should just let them expire, after all they were temporary weren’t they?
Nappy… yet again, you are illinformed and have no idea what you are talking about. Cliche’s are not facts, boy. The tax rate changes that Bush enacted, AND OBOZO REAUTHORIZED, resulted in fewer people paying income taxes. Before the change, 38% of Americans paid NO Federal Income Tax. Following the Bush tax rate enactment, that number has grown to 47% who pay no Federal Income Taxes. So the actual numbers and facts contradict your foolish belief that the rates “did not help the poor.” What the hell do you mean “help the poor” anyway? You’re an idiot and have no clue what the eff you are talking about, yet again.
If anything, you leftist freaks out there should love the Bush Tax plan for the very reason that it puts more of the burden of government on the backs of fewer and fewer people. I say let them expire and make more people pay income taxes. In fact, make everyone pay income taxes, and make us all pay the exact same rate. That would be fair. We are all treated the same. No loopholes, no deductions, just one flat rate that everyone pays. Everyone treated exactly the same under the law is the very definition of fairness. It doesn’t get any more fair than that.
You need only understand where those unfunded liabilities came from, The Rep Party. So who is the Bozo now?
It’s a graph of somebody’s truth. If you want to be helpful why don’t you find a chart of how many versions of the “truth” were and are in play at any one time in the past year. You use quotes which are entirely meaningless. They are not truth. They are opinion. And I’m sure you know the old quote about opinions: “Opinions are like . . etc., etc.. . . . everyone has one. And they usually stink.
Have a nice day, OMG!
uhhhhh Metro…. the graph is nothing but numbers depicted in a way to give context to the efffect of Obozo’s phony “tax the rich” scheme which will result in absolutely NOTHING when compared to our real problems, the national debt and unfunded liabilities of SS and Medicare. I can assure you that not one red cent of new tax revenues will be spent reducing our debts. Not one. So where will it go? You know where. Down the drain like all of the other spending that Obozo and those before him have done. And your children and grandchildren will be paying off your spending done today long after you are dead and gone. Too bad you don’t accept responsibility for that immorality. By the way, don’t dare to criticize Bush while at the same time giving Obozo a pass. They both suck and I have said as much in these pages for a long time. I know you like my quotes, Metro. Admit it.
Have a nice day, Metro!
“There is no crueler tyranny than that which is perpetuated under the shield of law and in the name of justice.” — Charles de Montesquieu
I don’t give anybody a pass. But tell me, OMG, what was immoral about putting money into a Social Security account that was to be invested in interest-bearing bonds in order to prepare for retirement after 45 + years? Where is the immorality in paying out part of that money to pay the premiums on our Medicare? I won’t lay all the blame on Bush but don’t try to lay a guilt trip on me for collecting my Social Security. The immorality is with the people who spent the money on other things, knowing they would have to pay it back some day. When one does that and then tries to weasel out of paying the bill, they are called thieves. Thievery is immoral. I will go so far as to say I don’t dislike your quotes. I just don’t always give a lot of credence to some of the sayings of long-dead people.
“Their ideas may have fit the times but ideas are rarely ever eternally correct. Times change and ideas become obsolete and have to be replaced by new ideas.” – Metrognome3830
Have a nice day yourself, OMG!
Hi Metro. Just getting to this today. You putting money into SS was not immoral. What was immoral was the f**king moron (FDR) that fooled Americans into believing in a Ponzi scheme. What was immoral was the piece of sheet (LBJ) that pushed through the law authorizing Congress to tap the SS reserve funds for general spending and stick IOUs into the pot that are growing more and more worthless each year. SS was NEVER supposed to be a person’s retirement. It was only supposed to be meant as insurance. That’s all it ever was for the longest time. Then people began to think otherwise as dependency grew into our culture. You’re now at that point in your own mind where you are in conflict. At least you should be. You know the choice of examining our looming financial nuclear meltdown and your own personal needs should present a conflict if you have a conscience and if you care about your kids and grandchildren. They are the one’s who will bear the terrible price of a collapsed economy and the resulting tyranny that will take the place of our freedom. You know this happens, Metro, as has happened in every case throughout history. Which brings me to my final point. Your not “giving a lot of credence to the sayings of long dead people” is probably the most silly thing you’ve said, my friend. It so happens that there have been great thinkers and philosophers throughout the ages who have insights and understandings that SHOULD be passed on for ever. This is called learning from the past, Metro. It is a good thing. You see, principles DONT change with the times. By definition, they don’t change. If we were to adopt your theory that what people said long ago no longer applies, how could there be any learning if everything was new? Why bother learning if what you learn is of no value to your future generations? Think about it. You may not like the quotes because many of them kind of strike at the core of the leftist, collectivist mindset. That’s why I put them there. To make others think. That’s all.
“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated failures. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.” – Calvin Coolidge
Guess what bozo, we don’t care about the deficit. You can not ask those that have little or nothing to pay for tax cuts to people that have everything and also pay down the deficit.
It is time for those earning more than 250K to pay up; and I don’t care what label you give them because they can afford to pay more and so they should.
Metro, I just asked Doc T these same questions. He won’t answer but I know I can trust you.
When did $250,000 = millionaires and billionaires? Watch Jay Carney’s presser today. He said exaclty that. They’ve been saying it for years.
When did “the 1%” become “the 2%”? Was it right after the election? I think so. How did that happen? I thought we were just supposed to hate the 1%. Now we have to hate twice as many Americans? When are we going to have to hate 25% of America? Or are we supposed to already?
“The tyranny of a prince in an oligarchy is not so dangerous to the public welfare as the apathy of a citizen in a democracy.” – Charles de Montesquieu
I never said nor do I believe $250,000=millionaires and billionaires. Who would try to sell that tale to anyone? Oh, wait a minute. John Boehner said that just a couple of days ago. I have no idea who changed the 2% to 1%. I’m staying with the 2% figure. Who do we have to hate? Nobody. That’s one of the big problems. I would direct you to my answer when you said I always looked at situations as adversarial because of my union background. Adversarial does not have to, nor should it = hate. Hate is always counter-productive. Adversarial means you have a duty to try to negotiate a solution acceptable to the majority. Right now there is hate. I hope the political bickering and ridiculing of opponents stands is purely political. We all have to lighten up a bit and be a bit more proactive. Me included. Too much hatred just riles up my ulcers. I try to concentrate my hatred on a very small group of extremely deserving people. I’m sorry, but I have to tell you that you don’t qualify to be in that group.
Have a great day, and cheer up. things could, and still may, get worse.
Metro, watch Carney’s presser today. He actually said that $250K is millionaires and billionaires. The scary part is that the vast majority of Obozo supporters believe that crap. And the scariest part is that Boehner is too stupid to recognize how Obozo is playing him for the idiot that he is. He will be primaried in 2 years. Wait and see.
Oh… and you don’t think there’s hatred out there for successful people? Huh???? What have you been smoking, Metro? Come on tell me. Just between you and me. For Pete’s sake, buddy, do you read any of the comments in here? Sheesh… this place is all about jealousy and envy and “get-back-at-those-bastards” type people. And I can assure you that this place is nothing more than a microcosim of 50% or more of the rest of Americans. That’s the only way Obozo actually got elected again while sporting the worst record of any American president in 100 years.
And thanks for the compliment, Metro! Back at ya!
Have a nice evening, my friend. Pass my kindest regards to Mrs. Metro please.
“Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.” – Ben Franklin
As usual Bozo the Idiot makes statements that aren’t backed by any facts. Bozo in his 1st 4 years President Obama has increased jobs (more are needed I know), the stock market has risen more than 50% check your 401K or IRA if you have one, the uninsured will be able to coverage and Bin Laden is dead. Tell me what W did in 8 years. Oh that’s right he truned a surplus into over a Trillion dollar deficit, lossed 100k”s jobs, got the US into 2 unfinanced wars, gave huge tax breaks to the wealthy but you think he was better than President Obama. You are then dfeinitely delusional. Plus you can’t predict elections, can you – Romney in a landslide, hah.
Have a nice 4 MORE YEARS!!!
Don’t worry bozo, snakes always find a way to hide.
Just getting you off of these memo pages is proving also to be impossible. I really don’t care because I will comment on your misinformation whenever I see it. Further, I don’t care who gets taxed more especially if it is you.
Maybe he could get his ass to the Betty Ford Clinic. As is, he is in as much denial about his obvious to everybody else but himself alcoholism as he is to political realities. He should take the Christmas break to do himself a favour and do a quick therapy at the Betty Ford clinic, get his ass to A.A. meetings on a regular basis. Sober up, John Boehner. You´re makig yourself the laughing stock of the “inside the Beltway” crowd.
Now we know the genetics for his ‘tears’ …great cartoon ! “When you change the way you look at things, the more things change”…..author unknown
The house speaker need to get real. he might start by getting rid of the voices of the tea party.
President Obama, please don’t make deals with drunks and devils.
You haven’t seen the real picture of Obama smoking pot?
Hey Willie…. you stupid moron…. you’re the Bozo, I can assure you. Those unfunded liabilities are 2 social programs called Social Security and Medicare. They are off the books in the government accounting. You did not know that did you? Well now you do. You can say that you have learned something today. Even if it took a couple of exchanges to get it into your thick skull. Now go wipe that drool from your chin, will you.
Sorry bozo but these two vital programs are well funded for many years. Social Security can pay full benefits for at least another 25 years and Medicare is good for 12 more years without any real changes. Yes, money will have to be paid out of their trust funds but the money was put into these funds from the excess money paid in. Now that these programs need the money Congress must pay it back.
Congress is full of Republicans that would rather take the money from the poor and elderly and not pay back the money they used to fund two wars, tax breaks for the rich and other tax expenditures.
Screw the Republicans, they lost and so did you.
Thanks for the reply to Bozo the Idiot. He likes to make unfounded and idiotic statements along with finding some quote, he probably has a book of quotes at his rock or has found a website that he gets them from. Bozo you lost the election.
Have a nice 4 MORE YEARS!!
Nappy… you’re smoking crack if you think these programs are well funded. Even the Trustees of the programs have been warning us. Medicare is already spending at a faster rate than the money comes in, and 10,000 baby boomers are retiring each day now. SS will go past even money flows very shortly. And both of those probrams are being funded out of general funds now anyway, you dope. The politicians since LBJ have been raiding those SS funds for current spending and putting IOUs in the box since. And those IOU’s are paying next to nothing in interest all while inflation is eating away at our seniors standard of living. It used to be that 11 workers paid for 1 beneficiary back in the 50′s-60′s era. That number today is down close to only 2 workers having to bear the burden of one beneficiary. How do you not see that this is a really bad deal? You must be really stupid to not understand simple math. In fact, Nappy, you are stone cold stupid. No question. In one of your responses to me recently, you stated that “deficits don’t matter” and that demonstrates a glaring ignornance of such proportion as to not really warrant a direct response. You’re too dumb to get into a discussion on our nation’s finances if you think that.
“Better to remain silent and thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.” – attribution in dispute
What really bugs this loser is his realization that $$400 million + didn’t turn out to be the god every gopper swore would take them to the top.. Even their lying faux couldn’t pull it off, it was just enough to continue to make the losing side enraged because the presidency wasn’t won by their specs.. No more. “anybody but Obama”.. No more rose colored glasses.. What else do they have to celebrate except the final lie that they had all been set-up for a loss from the beginning.. My, isn’t reality a bitch?
The forth panel should have tears on his cheek!!
