Brown has already withdrawn his name from the race. It is surprising, to say the least, that Mo Cowan will be only the second African American serving in the current Congress, and while he may be VERY capable, the one from South Carolina leaves much to be desired. Tim Scott from SC, appointed by Nikki Haley to fill out the unexpired term of the retiring Jim DeMint, makes DeMint look like a rocket scientist and a raving liberal.
