I responded to you responding to what should have been obvious, and said so.

If as you say, these satirists “base most of their stuff on lies that have only the tiniest grain of truth,” then their attempt at satire has the “tiniest grain” of satirical efficacy and impact.

Satire: “A literary work in which human vice or folly is attacked through irony, derision, or wit.”

On all three accounts, the “cartoon” failed, and doesn’t qualify to be called satire, humor, or jest.

I didn’t write ‘Obozo Must Go’. That is someone’s handle, not mine. The cartoon is a satire, although I suspect you don’t have any similar problem with Trudeau, Oliphant or Sargent.

Obozo Must Go

I don’t “duck” issues, only punches.

Not names! Name. President Obama is not President Obozo except to those who respect neither the office nor the man.

Not only was the cartoon in poor taste, it was inaccurate, taken out of context to make a crass political point, using as much straw as is necessary to construct a straw man to dismantle.
