Los Angeles (AFP) – A man has been arrested in connection with explosive devices made from dry ice found at the Los Angeles International Airport, police said Wednesday.

The suspect, Dicarlo Bennett, was taken into custody Tuesday and booked for possession of a destructive device near an aircraft.

Bail has been set at $1 million for the 28-year-old, the Los Angeles Police Department added on its website.

It did not provide any details on a possible motive.

Officials had previously said they do not believe there is a link to terrorism and that no one was injured.

The Los Angeles Times identified the suspect as an airport employee.

One of the contraptions, which exploded, was placed early Sunday evening in an employee restroom at the airport, police said.

A second was deposited near an aircraft at the Tom Bradley International Terminal, it added.

Both devices were made with plastic bottles, according to the Los Angeles Times. The second, discovered more than 24 hours after the first, had not exploded but was fizzing when it was found, it added.

Rather, the Congressperson from North Georgia made her eleventy-zillionth threat to oust the Speaker of the House from her own party, Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA), using the Motion to Vacate she filed last month. She told Fox viewers she wanted to return to her House district to “listen to voters” before acting, however.

Trump Campaign Gives Access To Far-Right Media But Shuns Mainstream Press

Trump campaign press pass brandished on air by QAnon podcaster Brenden Dilley

Trump's Hour On CNN Was A Profile In Cowardice

Vanity Fair recently reported that several journalists from mainstream publications, including The Washington Post, NBC News, Axios, and Vanity Fair, were denied press access to Trump’s campaign events, seemingly in retaliation for their previous critical coverage. Meanwhile, Media Matters found that the campaign has granted press credentials to the QAnon-promoting MG Show and Brenden Dilley, a podcaster who has promoted the QAnon conspiracy theory and leads a “meme team” that creates pro-Trump content.
