Let’s look back in time when the fascist rich controlled our Nation. So our youth can realize that the fascists are again in control. When our National Guard and Police were used by the fascist rich to stop Union organizing into 1930s Again in Wisconsin Governor Walker was using Police and the National Guard to stop the peoples voice.
1835, In Paterson, New Jersey, a strike by the children in a sweat shop. Their demands ? An eleven-hour day and a six day work week.
1877, Ten labor union activists were hung in Pennsylvania for trying to organize a union for the workers in a coal mine.
1877, Again in Pennsylvania, Thirty rail workers were killed by federal troops for protesting wage cuts.
1911, A sweat shop fire killed one-hundred forty seven women and young girls that were locked into the ten story building. The Triangle Shirtwaist Company owners were indicted for manslaughter.
1911, Fannie Sellins organized the United Garment Workers of America and received a six month sentence in a West Virginia Prison for “inciting a riot,” She also organized the United Mine Workers of America.
1914 John D. Rockefellers Colorado Fuel and Iron Company. (CF&I) in Ludlow Colorado along with other small companies made a stand against their workers. The workers had such audacity as to make demands on their employers. The workers wanted them to recognize their union as the voice of their majority members. The absurd demands were, an eight hour day, overtime pay, a pay increase and the enforcement of the Colorado Mining laws. The union was headed by James Fyler who organized the walk out. Tents were set up and the workers camped in front of the mines. The mine owners refused to even listen to their demands while the National
Guard and mine owners overlooking the tent city opened fire with machine guns. Forty miners and their families died including wives and children. James Fyler was shot fifty four times for his efforts to voice the miners demands.
1919 During a mine strike at the Allegheny mine Joseph Starzeleski was clubbed to death. When Fannie Sellins intervened she was clubbed and shot three times while crawling away.
1919 & 1920 the U.S Bureau of Investigation targeted union labor leaders. 250 deportations and several prosecutions as anarchists.
1932, Ford Motor Company in Dearborn Michigan. Five auto workers killed and dozens badly beaten by Police.
1934, Known as the ,”Battle of Toledo”. Two workers killed and many dozens beaten striking the Electric Auto Light Company.
1934, Known as, “Bloody Thursday,” a California ship yard strike where strikers were beaten and gassed, six killed.
Thirty years of the fascist rich controlling our government and keeping the American worker down ended when the Franklin D. Roosevelt turned against HIS CLASS. All of the regulations and protection of the American worker ended when Ronald Reagan stepped into the White House. Each administration since has continued our extinction of the middle class worker in our country. They simply let the American people do it for them, We The People, not paying attention to the TRUTH.
