Down here in North Carolina his lies are believed because he is Republican, anti-abortion, and wants to put god in our government. Nothing else matters to most people.

You’re giving old Mitt too much credit. He knows damn well what he’s doing. While the internet and political class bat this around for a few weeks, it will hit home and score him points with unemployed swing voters. It’s not aimed at the people posting here, who regardless of side know on a basic level the Romney line of attack is 1. Dishonest 2. Factually wrong. But again, he doesn’t care because the people who don’t keep up with things like this either via ignorance or lack of time might very well be swayed by the lies and misinformation. If lies and misinformation didn’t work, sooner or later politicians would stop spewing them.

The problem is while the internet and political class can see though this Romney BS, the average voter either can’t or won’t understand the truth. They may indeed be swayed by this line of attack, even if on a basic intellectual level they have an inkling the Romney premise is flawed. People have never understood the extent to which government is in their lives, for better or worse. Like those tea party types demanding government get its hands off THEIR Medicare, as if a they’re entitled to it by God, not given it by government.

Willard the Rat Man is still the chameleon he will always be. But then, that is politics in America a came of gotcha where lies are built upon lies. One can only hope that enough voters see through the cloaked lies. As alway like the magician he pulls another rat of a lie instead of a rabbit.

I believe Obama has already done so, as have all past presidential candidates. He and his wife are attorneys and have made money for which they could easily have earned the old fashioned way with income tax withholding rather than off shore shelters, Swiss bank accounts and stock market income (where much money begets much money at a lower tax rate than those who work for a living).
Romney had a chance to clean up the returns he has disclosed, but going back too far will reveal how the rich stay rich and the poor just get poorer as well as the middle incomers fall into the poor class at an alarming rate.

It doesn’t matter Bozo.. Whoever wins, the people lose so winning in this respect is inconsequential (we’re all screwed).. If the rat man wins, down the drain with the poor, needy, sick and aged.. If Obama wins, the pubs will continue to block him at every junction.
