Ryan: Obama Has ‘record Of Failure’

August 11th, 2012 12:56 pm Associated Press

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Appearing for the first time as Mitt Romney’s running mate, Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan is attacking President Barack Obama for what he calls a “record of failure.”

The seven-term congressman says Obama has led the “worst economic recovery in 70 years.” He notes that unemployment has been above 8 percent for more than three years — the longest stretch since the Great Depression.

He spoke in remarks prepared for delivery at the first public appearance of the new GOP ticket.

Ryan, the architect of a controversial budget plan, is promising not to “duck the tough issues.” And he says he has the courage to tell the truth.

Does Paul Ryan have the courage to tell the truth about what he and his party has done in the past 2 years to support recovery. Seems to me that no Republican has stepped up to say it was our policies that lead to this…

Being a politician and being honest is a very hard thing to accomplish. Ryan is no better or no worse than most of them. However, his policies and his voting record shows he helped a great deal in running the country into a ditch. He is no more a serious about deficit and debt reduction than the so-called tax and spend liberals. His plan takes 30 years to reach a deficit free budget, and that is only if everything goes according to plan without any new economic downturns, wars or major disasters. In other words pie-in-sky guesswork. Hardly the stuff of a real thinker, and yet he is considered the GOP’s top economic man. Oh boy here we go.

I heartily approve of the Romney-Ryan ticket. Four more years of Obamanomics will break me. I am sorry he failed but his is absolutely just to incompetent to keep as a President. When he was first elected I worried for my grandkids but now I worry for myself. Obama has used the dirtiest, sleaziest campaign tactics I have ever seen. Shame on him and his appointed attack dogs.
