Should politicians’ religious affiliations matter at all in campaigns? E.J. Dionne writes in his new column, “The Politics Of The Heavenly And The Unheavenly”:

    The only way to separate church and politics is to tax political churches. A church that strays beyond theological influence, is no longer a church. If it gathers wit ha political agenda, is should lose it’s tax exempt status. Campaigns that cross into religious debates should also lose their tax exempt status.
