SHARE THIS: Steve Stockman’s Campaign Office Is Disgusting

When U.S. Representative Steve Stockman (R-TX) launched his extreme-longshot bid to unseat Senate Minority Whip John Cornyn (R-TX), The National Memo noted that the genuinely crazy congressman’s long history of legal woes could cause major problems for his campaign.

Barely a week later, one of those troubles — a campaign office that Webster, TX, officials shut down in November for multiple safety violations — is already coming back to haunt them.

On Tuesday, Talking Points Memo obtained photos of the condemned office — and they are nastier than you could have imagined.

For example, Stockman probably wouldn’t even have used this bathroom while he was living on the streets in the ’80s:

And if you thought that Team Stockman’s version of the “SNAP challenge” was gross before, now imagine the food being made in this kitchen (which comes complete with an “If babies had guns they wouldn’t be aborted” bumper sticker):

With his campaign being run from a place like this, it becomes a bit easier to understand how Stockman is trailing Cornyn by 44 points in the polls.

"To the extent that this propaganda takes hold, it makes it more difficult for us to really see this as an authoritarian versus democracy battle."
