Ten Republican state representatives held a press conference this morning to draft New Jersey Governor Chris Christie into the race for the Republican nomination, despite the fact that he has stated he will not run, saying he is willing to “tackle tough problems and speak bluntly.”
Rep. Chris Crawford of South Carolina said the lawmakers will help Christie win in the state, which holds the first presidential primary in the South. [The Washington Post]
