Late Night Roundup: Hillary Clinton Vs. Donald Trump — ‘I No Longer Think He’s Funny’

Hillary Clinton tore into Donald Trump, during an appearance Thursday night with Seth Meyers: “I have to say, Seth — I no longer think he’s funny.” And Seth agreed that he’s come to feel the same way.

She elaborated not only on Trump’s danger to the country — but on the need for other Republicans to repudiate him: “This latest demand that we not let Muslims into our country, really plays right into the hands of the terrorist. And I don’t say that lightly, but it does. He is giving them a great propaganda tool — a way to recruit more folks from Europe and the United States. And because it’s kind of crossed that line, I think everybody — and especially other Republicans — need to stand up and really say, ‘Enough, you’ve gone too far, that’s not who we are, that’s not the kind of country that we believe we are, and we’re just not gonna tolerate it.'”

Stephen Colbert got a special visitor for his monologue: Jon Stewart, who renewed his effort to pressure Congress to renew the Zadroga Act, to fund health care for 9/11 first responders. But it turns out that in order to get any attention, Jon will have to dress up like Donald Trump.

Larry Wilmore looked at the big affirmative action case at the Supreme Court this week — where racial progress is being challenged by an under-qualified white legacy student, as well as Supreme Court Justices who seem to think “separate but equal” is still a good idea.

Trevor Noah asked why gun sales are massively up after the latest wave of mass shootings and terrorism: “So people get shot, and so people go out and buy guns. I don’t understand why people aren’t buying bullet-proof vests — how is that not on the top of everyone’s Christmas list?”

Conan O’Brien showed off Donald Trump’s new anti-Muslim ad — featuring photos of The Donald with all his Middle Eastern business partners, plus American sports icon Muhammad Ali, while “Trump” fear-mongered against having any association with Muslims: “I’m Donald Trump, and I recorded this over the phone without seeing the actual commercial.”

Jimmy Kimmel also gave a shoutout to Jon Stewart’s great cause of the Zadroga Act.
