Images of Latinos lining up to vote have shaken Trump back to reality. He sees voters being allowed to vote because they arrived in line before the polls closed as “rigged.”
It isn’t every day that the Republican nominee utters an outrageous falsehood about an incident that was recorded and witnessed by thousands.
Two weeks ago Roger Stone, a Trump adviser and Republican operative, linked to a copy of the fake document on Twitter, writing, “If this is real: OMG!!”
On August 25, Clinton’s strategy came to the fore. In a speech in Nevada, she officially anointed Ryan as the exemplar of the Republican Party’s sensible, “normal” wing, sidelining Trump as the dangerous (“alt-right”) exception. All this, of course, was intended to expedite the defection of Republicans offended by their party’s nominee.
We head into the last few weeks of this election with our societal immune system largely failing and the fate of the nation dependent on one person. Luckily for us, that person is Hillary Clinton. Only one human being has ever defeated Clinton in an election. He’s now in the White House and many of his best operatives are working on Clinton’s campaign.
