No, they’re not afraid of Democracy. These terrorist attacks are a continuation of the war that bin Laden and the Taliban declared against America and Israel back in the late 70′s or early 80′s, I think, when America continued to back Israel despite their refusal to honor the agreement to establish the Palestinian homeland and continued to build in the West Bank area. You recall, the U.S. government–via the CIA– back in 1979, I believe, had asked bin Laden to get together some rebels to help drive the Russians out of Afghanistan and then supplied them with the armor to do so. Remember, Bush Sr. is friends with the bin Ladens and he was director of CIA at the time. Some incident happened between the Israelis and Palestinians–can’t remember which–and that’s when bin Laden and them declared the war. That’s why when Reagan and Bush came into office in 1980 they immediately started barricading federal government buildings including the White House and State Department (I was living in DC at the time). Using this movie as the reason, they have been able to “rally the troops” again. That why we need to reign in these persons who knowingly make inflammatory movies and gestures. It leaves too much opportunity for the enemy to use it to their advantage. Wouldn’t be surprised if the movie was commissioned by an Al Qaeda sympathizer…if not this time, could happen another time.

How exactly do you rank our handling of our indigenous native population? Did our handling of native Americans make us a good country or a bad country?
Is it okay to just ignore history? No, I don’t think your mischaracterization of countries who kill and oppress their own people as more democratic socialist is funny. It is pretty lame and not accurate by any stretch of the imagination, unless you ignore all the fascist dictatorships that have and continue to exist. Ignoring inconvenient facts is your modus operandi. The unfortunate thing about democratic rule is that other people don’t always agree with your assessment of things. You appear to be advocating we should have supported strong man leaders like Saddam as long as they suppressed “radical Islamists.” So it is okay for some leaders to kill their own people as long as they are people you don’t like. You quite clearly have no faith in democracy. Scratch a conservative and find a fascist.

So you agree with Mao that “political power grows out of the barrel of a gun.” (Does this make Mao a fascist? It is the type of logic you employ.) It is only a short step from there to the idea that right grows out of the barrel of a gun.
I never stated you offered to invade Iran. I said your justification for harming Iran was identical to President Bush’s justification for invading Iraq. You just want to nuke them right. Well that makes all the difference in the world.
