Here’s all ya realy need to ask: How many households in Israel have a gun? Cuz’ als i’m saying is, I think not only would 2nd amendment armed Jews have been defending against the Nazis, but also the massive number of anti-nazi ethnic Germans. I’ll grant you that the Nazi regime were a Goliath, but imagine if Goliath had managed to ban slings and stones:P

I suggested no such thing… I simply validated the fact that 80 some odd years ago the Nazis used disarmament as a tool in their campaign of Genocide…..There were a plethora of other measures, used in concert with disarmament, to achieve their goal. Singularly, disarmament would not have been sufficient to achieve their aims, but it was a critical part of their strategy.

I mentioned nothing about using a .22 agains a grenade launcher in modern America….. Not sure where you came up with that in a post about the disarmament of the Jews in Nazi Germany….

I believe rational, sane people should have a firearm if they wish. However, without some laws governing gun ownership any idiot can have one, or one hundred. Also, I think anyone so enamored of firepower that they spoon their gun at night should not have one.
Do you really believe that individual gun ownership will give provide the means to take on the might of the United States military?

So much bul** so little time. You would suggest that the arms held by US citizens could stop the US army, marines, air force and navy from taking over the country. What nonsense; your peashooters would offer little resistance to modern military weapons.
The premise that a well armed militia offers security for the citizens was put forth before the advent of current military weapons. They could not possible imagine the firepower and sophistication of modern weapons such as miniguns, tanks and missiles, let alone aircraft and submarines. The well armed, at that time had muskets and possibly cannon but not much else.
