Of course there will be fewer teachrs and the public schools will go down hill. Dictators have an easy time of taking over a country where the people are ignorant and uneducated. Meanwhile, the wealthy wlll send their children to subsidized private schools run by religious groups that will teach them only “conservative family values”.

Of course there will be fewer teachers because it is in the interest of the conservatives to dumb down America so tha we won’t be able to think for ourselves and will believe their garbage. The first thing dictators do when they take over a country is dispose of the educated people and indoctrinate school children. Hitler had the Killing Films where he desensitized college students by telling them that the elderly and institutionalized people with disabilities were useless and a drain on the economy and did not need to live. He even made them look sub-human with his lighting of the films. The communists killed the educated people, teachers especially, when they took over Southeast Asia. And in the last few years the Republicans have put in No Child Left Behind, alternate certification, scripted curricula, test training to replace education, Teach for America and vouchers, all ways to get rid of professional teachers and lower the quality of the schools. Meanwhile the wealthy send their kids to private schools, often run by conservative religionists so they can become highly educated but brainwashed into knowing nothing but the conservative viewpoint. It started with Ronald Reagan and his ketchup as a vegetable and making it more difficult to fill out financial aid applications so that poor kids would be discouraged from going to college and has continued as long as we have had Republican presidents and Republican dominated Congresses. Need proof? Check your local newscasts and for mispelled words on the captions.

Oh, but the rich will have so much money they can easily afford security officers to protect them, bribe firefighters, and pay for private tutors for their children! Romney isn’t worried about the rest of us! Romney’s kids have never had to learn in a public school among those who are the unfortunate and come from poor families, for whom there is no American dream! When Romney needs police assistance he will just put on a troopers uniform!

We save money by eliminating those things that make the US a civilized nation but somehow still spend more money. If these cuts are designed to reduce the deficit then why don’t they reduce the deficit? Our country is not broke but we are being lashed with this whip in order to keep us poor and ignorant. Who will that benefit?
