Good for Joe, but I think our culture has greatly changed since WW II; Today’s young fathers are much more likely to actually and comfortably get into being an active dad. While it is true there is still more work to do as far as men putting in more to the equal load of raising their children, let give credit where credit is due. When I married in the 1960’s my husband could not even change a diaper. It was my father who role modeled for him by teasing him because he was afraid and actually teaching him how to do it. By our second child my husband was great. My boys were incredible with their children when they were babies. My oldest son was actually a better mother than his wife. I think each man, like Joe, who openly and proudly talks about the daily child raising chores he happily does, is making a huge contribution to our society and being a very important role model.
