WATCH: Jon Stewart Wonders, Who Is Conservative Enough For This GOP?

The Daily Show‘s Jon Stewart can’t figure out who would be conservative enough for this Republican Party.

The far right is opposed to the modest compromise negotiated by Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI), who is now being called a “sellout” by some. And John Cornyn (R-TX) — the nation’s second most conservative senator — is facing a Tea Party primary challenger who refers to him as “liberal John Cornyn.”

So how about Ronald Reagan?

Nope. Still not good enough.

Michael McCaul, Republican chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, was echoed a few days later by Ohio Rep. Michael Turner, the chairman of the Intelligence Committee. "To the extent that this propaganda takes hold, it makes it more difficult for us to really see this as an authoritarian versus democracy battle."
