What Does Nancy Pelosi Know About Newt?

UPDATE: Pelosi’s spokesman Drew Hammill has denied that Pelosi has any inside info on Gingrich. He told the Associated Press on Wednesday afternoon that “The ‘something’ leader Pelosi knows is that Newt Gingrich will not be president of the United States. She made that clear last night.”

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi suggested that she knows a damaging secret about Newt Gingrich during a cryptic exchange with CNN’s John King on Tuesday night.

King: “Because of your history with Speaker Gingrich, what goes through your mind when you think of the possibility, which is more real today than it was a week or a month ago, that he would be the Republican nominee and that you could come back here next January or next February with a President Gingrich?”

Pelosi: “Let me just say this. That will never happen.”

King: “Why?”

Pelosi: “He’s not going to be President of the United States. That’s not going to happen. Let me just make my prediction and stand by it, it isn’t going to happen.”

King: “Why are you so sure?”

Pelosi: “There is something I know. The Republicans, if they choose to nominate him that’s their prerogative. I don’t even think that’s going to happen.”

It’s unclear what dirt Pelosi has on the man with whom she once shared a couch, but her remarks have piqued both Gingrich and his rival Mitt Romney’s curiosity.

“I wish I knew what that was,” Romney toldFox & Friends host Gretchen Carlson with a laugh this morning. “I’d tell people what it is right now.” Romney went on to speculate that Pelosi was referring to the ethics violations for which Gingrich was disciplined in 1997.

“But that’s one of the reasons why I’m saying that all of the records that were part of the ethics investigation, all of the transcripts, all of the records have to be made public.

Not just the final white-washed report but the full record, the reason that 88% of the Republicans in the House voted to reprimand their own Speaker….. we need to understand why that is, and those records need to be released, because you know that if Nancy Pelosi knows those things right now, she will hand them to Barack Obama’s campaign if Speaker Gingrich were our nominee.”

Gingrich also urged Pelosi to come clean with any inside information that she may have on him during an appearance on NBC News:

“She lives in a San Francisco environment of very strange fantasies and very strange understandings of reality,” Gingrich said. “I have no idea what’s in Nancy Pelosi’s head. If she knows something, I have a very simple challenge: spit it out.”

Marjorie Taylor Mouth Makes Another Empty Threat

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene

I’m absolutely double-positive it won’t surprise you to learn that America’s favorite poster-person for bluster, blowhardiness and bong-bouncy-bunk went on Fox News on Sunday and made a threat. Amazingly, she didn’t threaten to expose alleged corruption by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy by quoting a Russian think-tank bot-factory known as Strategic Culture Foundation, as she did last November. Rather, the Congressperson from North Georgia made her eleventy-zillionth threat to oust the Speaker of the House from her own party, Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA), using the Motion to Vacate she filed last month. She told Fox viewers she wanted to return to her House district to “listen to voters” before acting, however.

Trump Campaign Gives Access To Far-Right Media But Shuns Mainstream Press

Trump campaign press pass brandished on air by QAnon podcaster Brenden Dilley

Trump's Hour On CNN Was A Profile In Cowardice

Vanity Fair recently reported that several journalists from mainstream publications, including The Washington Post, NBC News, Axios, and Vanity Fair, were denied press access to Trump’s campaign events, seemingly in retaliation for their previous critical coverage. Meanwhile, Media Matters found that the campaign has granted press credentials to the QAnon-promoting MG Show and Brenden Dilley, a podcaster who has promoted the QAnon conspiracy theory and leads a “meme team” that creates pro-Trump content.
