Oh MY!!! 1st & 4most – be SAFE!!! Alabama of all places!? I understand U’r frustration all the more & it looks like we’re going to need another round of 2001-2009-type disasters B4 folks in U’r community (state) really “get” it!!! Trouble is, the Fox network is a tsunami of lies & misinformation, custom-made for those too lazy to seek it (unbiased information) on their own, meaning, as U said, the ‘indoctrination’ carries a greater weight of validity than actual truth. Our nation is in bad shape, as evidenced by the WI recall vote. It doesn’t help matters w/so many other places like Alabama have also made ignorance an state-wide institution… I’ll be praying for U ALL & keep up prayer as well, but don’t give up…

You are correct, it doesn’t matter who’s money is doing the talking. So I suppose you are a supporter of Citizens United ruling now, eh?

I dont care what Buffett does with his money. IT’S HIS MONEY!!! HIS BUSINESS!! Not mine and certainly not the governments. Why do you think he’s giving it away and not giving it to the government? Did you ever think to ask yourself that question? Why? Please tell me. I’d be interested to hear your answer.

And anything that involves government forcing people to give up their liberties and private property IS EVIL. I agree. DemocRATS are evil.

I apologize it took so long to reply. I agree that many of the trade agreements, and regulations allow companies, especially manufacturing companies to take their production elsewhere, with near impunity. These trade agreements have been implemented by both sides of the aisle. Also my friends on the right would point out that another reason for the flight to other countries is over regulation of industry in the US. My friends on the left, would point out that much of the regulation concerning minimum wages, working conditions and environmental controls are both necessary and “good” for the overall society. If you have a great deal of money in your pocket, but can not breath the air, then you may have made some poor priority decisions.

I believe that, as a nation, we need to strike a balance, there must be some safeguards. There also must be a degree of unshackling the entrepeneurs (sic?) in our midst.

I would also note, that because of the global economic situation, that many of those foreign markets are not nearly as attractive or profitable as they once were.

Lastly I agree that a strong middle class is the motor that drives the economy. For those that would argue that small business is that motor, then maybe I could get you to agree that the middle class is the octane boost that makes it run that much smoother, and more efficiently.

I respect, appreciate and admire your determination. I live in Alabama and am surrounded by people, friends, family, neighbors, who are so indoctrinated with right wing garbage it is frightening. It is impossible to communicate with them so I just avoid any political conversation with them. I will try to keep my spirits up and do what I can.

But that’s the whole purpose of all this – get as many knowledgeable, rational & activist (as goes on here) citizens dejected, frustrated & feeling utterly helpless as possible! But keep at it here. I visit sites like “Human Events”, a rite wing ‘echo’ cave & I can’t even post there ANYMORE!!! I come @em hard, relentlessly & I can literally feel the earth move from their squirming from the pressure of TRUTH!!! All they can respond w/is incoherent non-sense! There’s only 2-3 regular conservatives brazen enuff to climb THIS ladder & when they go up so far & realize it’s NOT far enuff, it scares ‘em!!! They resort to the same non-sensical ramblings & incoherent issue-avoidance!!! So stay encouraged. Be bold & challenge conservatives at every turn. For some, the truth is bitter, especially after being lied to & believing it, so it takes longer to comprehend… Hold tight 2 U’r ‘AFFIRMATIVE’ virtues… We’ll be fine…

Actually, I present 5 of the same themes ALL THE TIME – Liberty, Justice, Equality, Opportunity & the most crucial, ENGAGEMENT (w/a clear & unconflicted mind, preferably)… I’d say that’s about as close to Constitutional advocacy a patriot can ever hope to get & as a TRUE BELIEVER, I’ve seen Democracy work! I’ve also seen it not work at all, so I definantly know who, by their success margins, made it work best. Oh & by the way, they happened to ‘work it’ along those same 5 themes listed above… It worked out ok for the citizenry pretty well I’d say…

… so what’s wrong w/people being so busy, hurried, distracted, that don’t even have time to ‘proof’ & ‘fact-check’ info thrown at them? I for 1, take NO information from conservative ‘infotainment’ outlets. PERIOD!!! 2nd, looking at the way even NPR has been intimidated & bullied into being like all other corporate media & NOT broadcast according to their mission & ‘original’ mandate, to be independent & autonomous from ‘corporate’ influence. I regularly listen to Diane Rehm for example & her show has been dominated by right wingers, who sound utterly ridiculous, out of touch & down rite stupid, trying to navigate thru current events & their implications. For those who don’t know the difference, those w/a Fox network or other corporate (mainstream) media orientation, they bcome frustrated, confused & impatient when listening to Thomm Hartman or Ed Schultz & 2nd-guess bona fide ‘TRUTH TELLERS’ – i.e. – THIS particular author & others such as Conason, Tucker, besides Schultz & Hartman. Filtering out simple-mindedness, childish pratter & complete irrationality is mandatory if U hope to “SEE” U’r part in all this & where it needs to go. Collectively, that’s what makes the difference. U can see the Fox influence in WI’s election a few weeks ago. The outside money made not a sand grains worth of difference, but rather, how much venom was ‘PUMPED’ thru the airwaves. A bought election in other words & Democracy-4-sale is an obscenity, from a Constitutional perspective!!! So what do PATRIOTS plan to do about IT!?!?!
