Aside from its lead, the most cartoonish character in the White House cast was Anthony Scaramucci. And yet “The Mooch” was canned on Monday, little more than a week into his stint as White House communications director. This was devastating news especially to the host and fans of The Late Show, as Stephen Colbert was — for ten days — late night TV’s preeminent Scaramucci roast master. Colbert sent off Scaramucci accordingly.
