#EndorseThis: Stephen Colbert’s North Korean TV Is The Best Thing In America

The line between George Orwell’s 1984 and broadcasts from North Korea’s state-controlled media is very thin. “War is peace! Ignorance is strength! Chairman Kim Jong-un is tall and thin, no matter what President Trump says!”

Stephen Colbert produces a hilarious take on DPRK television in today’s clip, which includes one living anchor and one dead or soon-to-be-dead one. “Debbie” from North Korea brags on Kim getting concessions from Trump, reports on the UBS skyscraper raccoon (safely released in the wild, in case you haven’t heard), and discusses how the Supreme Leader is joining Dennis Rodman for an interesting Hollywood project.

But the best gag of all is at the 0:57 mark, as Colbert’s merry team of editors puts Rocket Man in another “un”-familiar spot.

Play for Fake News, commie-style.
