If home schooling isn’t working it’s simply because there’s no one to prod the student to learn. No kid can be self-taught, they need someone to interest them. This falls to the parent who in most instances is busy trying to keep everything afloat.

Actually, the young lady in the pool MIGHT actually be studying and learning something (before she was interrupted, anyway). That is a matter of personal desire to learn. Some people can learn more on a web site than others can dozing off in a classroom. The only problem with online courses is that the SCHOOL administration has a more difficult time determining whether the student actually learned enough to pass the course.

However, it might be a good idea not to get the computer or tablet so close to water while using it. The time to repair hardware and recover data may show up as a delay in learning!
