Trump Punishes CNN For Challenging Him, Rewards Breitbart For Sucking Up

CNN, Trump, Presser

During Donald Trump’s press conference, the president-elect criticized CNN for reporting on alleged contacts between his campaign and the Russian government, and then CNN reporter Jim Acosta tried to ask a question. Trump refused Acosta’s repeated requests. Soon after, Trump solicited a question from Matthew Boyle of the embarrassingly pro-Trump Breitbart News, who served up a softball.

On Tuesday, CNN reported that “classified documents presented last week to President Obama and President-elect Trump included allegations that Russian operatives claim to have compromising personal and financial information about Mr. Trump.” The documents also reportedly included “allegations that there was a continuing exchange of information during the campaign between Trump surrogates and intermediaries for the Russian government.” Buzzfeed followed CNN’s article by publishing pages of raw memos related to the allegations.

At his press conference, responding to a question from CBS’ Major Garrett, Trump elaborated on a tweet he sent out on Wednesday morning in which he wrote, “Intelligence agencies should never have allowed this fake news to ‘leak’ into the public. One last shot at me. Are we living in Nazi Germany?”

Trump said BuzzFeed would “suffer the consequences” for publishing the memos and that CNN went “out of their way to build it up.”

CNN reporter Jim Acosta then attempted to ask Trump a question, noting, “Since you’re attacking us, can you give us a question?” Trump refused and waved him away. Acosta persisted, and Trump refused and said CNN is “terrible,” told Acosta to be quiet, and said, “You are fake news,” before moving on to another reporter.

A few minutes later, Trump turned to Matt Boyle of Breitbart.com, who proceeded to ask Trump about “all the problems that we’ve seen throughout the media over the course of the election” and “what reforms do you recommend for this industry here?”

It would hardly be possible to ask a more sycophantic and fawning question, but coming from Breitbart, it’s not surprising.

Breitbart has become the all-but-official voice of Trump over the past two years. The site has tied itself into absurd knots to defend him and attack his opponents in both the Republican and Democratic parties, while also mangling and inventing stories to serve his campaign’s narrative.

Stephen Bannon, Trump’s incoming chief White House strategist, has been the chairman of Breitbart and has overseen its transformation from a more traditional conservative outlet to what he described as a “platform” for the so-called “alt-right,” whose noxious brand of white nationalist nativist politics now dominates the conservative movement.

Breitbart’s dedication to Trump and its vilification of his perceived enemies were reflected in its writeup of the contentious exchange between Trump and Acosta, headlined “Trump to CNN: You Are Fake News.” Breitbart.com also posted the following headlines on its front page:

In turn, Trump has often used the millions of followers he has on social media to direct web traffic toward Breitbart stories promoting him and his conspiracy theories.

Later on CNN, Acosta reported that Republican National Committee communications director and incoming Trump press secretary Sean Spicer told him that if he were to persist in asking Trump questions in the same manner, he would be “thrown out of this press conference.”  (After his combative exchange with Acosta, Trump later fielded a question from CNN reporter Jeremy Diamond.)

The lesson from Trump is that he won’t accept the sort of adversarial journalism CNN has engaged in here, which is necessary and vital for a modern, functioning democracy. But if you suck up like Breitbart did (and has done), you will be perfectly fine.

This stupid Trump is such an embarrassment to the United States. He still thinks he’s starring in that equally stupid television show, even to ending the press conference by saying “You’re fired!” The press must not let up with tough questions. Keep hounding this Trumpet until he explodes. He is thin-skinned and must reply to every criticism by inane tweets. Guess what, Herr Trumpet, we Americans still have the freedom of the press and freedom of speech whether you can take it or not. To all the angry, unemployed folks who voted for Trump, believing that he really understands their predicament, you’ve been had! This rich “orange man” has no concept of what the office of the Presidency entails. The Washington Post ran a story that the contractors who built that awful hotel very near the White House have not been paid–over five million dollars.
Here we and our country go! My hope is that the anger that propelled Trump into office turns against him. Perhaps he will take his family and move to Russia

    1. Joe Marasco January 12, 2017

Boy you are so right! great comment!!

    2. Eleanore Whitaker January 12, 2017

I so agree. That press conference was a joke. It that’s his idea of “professional,” he needs to stop thinking HE invented government. He won’t.

In the press conference, at least 3 times, he pandered to his “supporters” and practically called the rest of us his “enemies.” You bet we are. We take down tyrants with grandiose ideas of power and shafting our tax dollars.

So if we are the enemies, we get to duke it out with him at every opportunity. Let’s see how BIG his supporters are when faced with the 74 million voters who know their votes were overridden in a rigged election.

      1. idamag January 13, 2017

Bob Woodard brought down Nixon with his investigative reporting, but Dan Rather and Mary Mapes lost their careers for investigating baby bush.

    3. jmprint January 12, 2017

He has not paid the lawsuit for fraud either, 25 million, he is broke and his lawyers have to keep him in office so he can make money with the Russian so they can recover what Trump owes them. If Trump goes under he will bring down a lot of people that have been financing him.

      1. dpaano January 12, 2017

But, he’s told everyone that he’s not taking a salary while president….hmmmm. How much you want to bet that’s a load of BS!!

    4. stcroixcarp January 12, 2017

While the media is doing this, they also need to keep Pence in their sights. Pence is a true believer and appears not to be very bright, but he has all the force of the evangelicals behind him. And he also has a mean streak.

    5. Jim Samaras January 17, 2017

That anger will propel him to a second term and Mike Pence in 2024. Relax, take a chill pill and watch how well we do.

  2. yabbed January 12, 2017

Donald Trump needs a mental competency exam by qualified mental health professions before taking office. There is something seriously amiss with his mental health. I think it is called crazy as a loon.

    1. Eleanore Whitaker January 12, 2017

The fact that he is a COKE nose help clear up the mystery? The next time you see an up close photo of him, take a good look at his eyes…They are usually unfocused and half mast. Druggies all have that look in the hours after they drug up.

      1. yabbed January 12, 2017

Well, he may well be a coke head but you shouldn’t use that excuse for behavior that is clearly that of mental illness. He may well be in early Alzheimer’s Disease. His father died of Alzheimer’s and there are questions about his mother also having dementia.

        1. stcroixcarp January 12, 2017

I think he is somewhat past the early stages.

        2. InGen12 January 12, 2017

That may be one if the reasons why his daughter is going to Washington with him. Remember when Reagan began showing early signs before his term was up? Nancy Reagan was constantly at his side to help him when he had to speak publicly.

          1. Eleanore Whitaker January 12, 2017

The Republicans are quite adept at choosing candidates they can “use.” It worked so well with Reagan having Alzheimers they hid and GWB being Cheney’s front man. Now, they played Trump like a Stradavarious. He paid his way into the presidential race, they took his money knowing he was not mentally balanced and knowing they’d be able to put Pence in as front man in Trump’s coke fogs.

          2. yabbed January 12, 2017

I think you are right. His daughter attends every meeting and is on every phone call he has with foreign leaders. He has had a couple of obvious memory lapses when he has denied saying something and once admitted staff had to show him the video of him saying what he couldn’t recall saying.

        3. Eleanore Whitaker January 12, 2017

His mother was a cloying, overindulgent woman who had a terrible marriage she clung to for financial security. I don’t make excuses for his coke habit. The reality is that he goes in and out of the coke fog on an almost hourly basis. That isn’t Alzheimers. Reagan had Alzheimers. But, he could be lucid for days at a time not hours at a time.

      2. InGen12 January 12, 2017

I’ve come to the conclusion that he is a coke user. Not only the sniffling, but the sleep he doesn’t get, his rambling conversations, his paranoia. Classic drug addict symptoms.

        1. Eleanore Whitaker January 12, 2017

In his “disco” days, he was a big time coke user. Everyone in the Manhattan clubs knew he was good to “try anything.” The clue he is still using is in his eyes. That isn’t due to exhaustion. It is due to the coke “fog.”

      3. idamag January 13, 2017

I wondered about that with all his sniffing at the debates.

  3. rednekokie January 12, 2017

Talk about shades of things to come — hmmmm — they’re already here.
We would have done much better with Homer Simpson.

  4. jmprint January 12, 2017

Not even President yet and he is showing his communism side. If he pointed that finger in my face I’ld bite it off, how dare he treat people like they are children and incompetent. What an a$$hole for a president you idiots voted for.

    1. Eleanore Whitaker January 12, 2017

His face makes me want to vomit. I can’t stand the sight of this man. He is going to cover up everything and make nice to the CIA because he knows they have his “number.” He lies about his Russian business, refuses to put his businesses in a trust to avoid conflict of interest, bans reporters from press conferences and uses that cow Conway to “interpret” what “he meant.”

The truth is we DID NOT vote for him. Hillary won by popular vote. No matter how much he and his YES men and women try to change that, the facts are all there. He was not the choice of the majority of Americans. He was the choice of ONLY 270 Republican electors some of whom were not even eligible to vote because they voted out of districts they were not members of.

      1. Mama Bear January 12, 2017

I guess this is what a government tak over looks like.

        1. jmprint January 12, 2017

Yes, and it’s very, very scary. Especially when you have the NRA on your side and have groomed a whole lot of gun totting mindless, snorting wanna be wild, wild west gun shooters.

          1. idamag January 13, 2017

Maybe the method to the madness of arming everyone is to have those ready to be brownshirts.

      2. Apostol Pappas January 12, 2017

What a lot of nonsense. Trump won the election in keeping with the requirements of the constitution. Do you contest that? When are so
many of you going to accept this? Outside of New York and California the popular vote was far in favor of Trump. Please remove your blinkers.

        1. Mama Bear January 12, 2017

mostly because outside New York and California there is very little intelligent life in this country. Some, yes, but not much. Mostly ignorant thugs. Are you one of those?

        2. stcroixcarp January 12, 2017

I accept the legality of his presidency, but I will never accept trump as being a legitimate president.

          1. Mama Bear January 12, 2017

            very well said.

          2. stcroixcarp January 12, 2017

Once a bastard, always a bastard.

        3. jmprint January 12, 2017

No I still think the system was rigged. I won’t except him as my president, as I have always held that position to be for an honorable person, something Trump proved he wasn’t from day one. The electoral for the states have been manipulated so that the minority wins.

        4. Girlpower January 12, 2017

I am sick and tired of trumps rabble acting as if the vote of someone living in California or New York is not the same as someone who lives elsewhere. The popular vote is one person one vote no matter where you vote. Like it or not Hillary won the popular vote by almost 3 million. POS trump has no mandate. He can pout and lie all he wants he lost the popular vote. Only 45 percent of Americans voted for him. Lying won’t change that.

          1. Apostol Pappas January 12, 2017

Dream on Girl………………….DJ Trump is the president elect of the USA.

          2. dpaano January 12, 2017

HE may be the “president elect,” but he was NOT the candidate that won the popular vote! If it weren’t for the Electoral College, he would have lost significantly! He is NOT a valid president and it’s even more apparent with the recent news.
Again, go back and do your homework……when you figure out you’ve been conned by the best con man in the country, then you can come back on this site! In the meantime, go back to your barcalounger with your beer and your foo-foo slippers and leave the intelligentsia on this site alone!

          3. Girlpower January 12, 2017

No one said he wasn’t. Can’t you read ? I said he did not have the mandate he is claiming. A mandate means more people voted for you than your opponent not less (almost 3 million less). No matter how much he spin, twists and lies this is a fact.

          4. jmprint January 12, 2017

And you can shove him up your nose, for all we care.

          5. dpaano January 12, 2017

It’s apparent that we have added another Putin-paid troll on this site….Apostal Pappas. Either that, or just another brainwashed Trump voter who believes everything he tells them despite the fact that it’s been proven that he’s the biggest liar that has come along, Trump wrote in his most recent book that “sometimes” he must make “outrageous comments and give them what they want — viewers and readers — in order to make a point.” Because, he says, “I’m a businessman with a brand to sell.” In Trump’s world, he’s always play-acting. Nobody expects a salesman to tell the complete truth. And, the fact that Trump admits to it in his own book tells it all! So, for you Trump followers who actually believe this psychological liar, hang in there because you’re going to find out just exactly what you voted for, especially when he fails to accomplish ANY of the so-called promises that he made to you. He was just telling you what you wanted to hear so you’d vote for him (and he even admitted this in a recent rally, but his followers didn’t seem to hear that part). Just goes to show how brainwashed the Trump voters are!

        5. dpaano January 12, 2017

No, you need to remove YOUR blinkers!! Hillary won over 3M votes, which were MUCH more than Trump did when you look at the “popular” vote. But, you keep believing what you’ve been told to believe…..typical GOP tactic!

          1. Apostol Pappas January 12, 2017

How amazing! Living in La la Land.
Two states must decide the outcome of 50 states. Some logic I must say, and one comment above, that everyone not in these states is unintelligent. Sore losers.

          2. dpaano January 12, 2017

Look who’s living in La La Land. Apparently, you haven’t bothered to do your homework. Not sure which two states you’re talking about anyway. The bottom line is that you have NO idea what you’re talking about. You’ve been fed a ration of BS from the Republican party as part of their brainwashing project. Hillary won the popular vote by obtaining over 3M votes (and that is a total of votes she received from all 51 states, not just a couple of states). And, if you actually are still saying that Trump’s comment about Hillary getting 1M illegal votes (particularly in New York and California) was true, you should realize that this was debunked a long time ago! Get off your butt and do your homework because we’re not the “sore losers.” You’re going to soon find out that YOU are the sore losers when Trump fails to follow through on all his so-called “promises” that he made. It won’t be pretty when you finally figure that out!

          3. idamag January 13, 2017

I think any man who supports trump might be someone to warn little girls about.

          4. jmprint January 13, 2017

Three small states push the electoral to Trump.

    2. FT66 January 12, 2017

The problem is: there is no qualifications for anyone to become president just only to be 35 years of age. This is quite wrong as we end up getting people like Trump, who has no any qualification to sit in the White House at all. For the sake of future generations, this must change.

      1. dpaano January 12, 2017

I have to agree, but with a Republican Congress, we have little chance of getting that to happen! After all, there WAS a bill put out to require future presidential candidates to submit their income tax returns and it was thrown out by the wonderful Republican congress!! If they throw out something like that….what else do you think they’ll throw out! They certainly won’t vote down Citizen’s United, etc. So, if we prevail in the midterms and get back the majority of seats in the Senate and House…..we may have some leeway to get these things done….we have to work towards that goal in 2018!!

    3. FireBaron January 12, 2017

Ah, you are operating under the mistaken impression that Vladimir Vladimirovich, Tsar of All Russias, is a Communist. While he was a KGB operative, and appears to idolize Iosef Vissarionovich (i.e. Stalin) he is more like the old Tsarists in his consolidation of power. Also, at least Stalin gave the pretense of believing in the dialectic. Putin has effectively thrown away all aspects of Russian law that he, personally, does not approve of. Effectively, he is in this for both personal power and wealth, just like the orange-headed sock-puppet he helped get elected.

      1. idamag January 13, 2017

Putin is not a overt communist, but he is doing exactly like trump is.

  5. Mama Bear January 12, 2017

Why is noone paying attention to this? Why?

    1. Eleanore Whitaker January 12, 2017

No one cares what Trump does. They asked for Trump the Hump. Now they get him…They OWN him and every rotten thing he says and does. All we can do is wash our hands of him and let them fail. And fail they will. They always do.

      1. Mama Bear January 12, 2017

so then I guess we just turn our heads and wait for the inevitable.

        1. Eleanore Whitaker January 12, 2017

Wink wink nod nod…If you were CIA, would you broadcast your strategies?

As a Republican of 33 years who got fed up with the constant sound of bully voices, if there is one thing the GOP knows best, it is “when” to remain silent and when to speak.

My Dad always said, “keep your enemies in your vest pocket.” They want double agents in government and the public like Comey? Good..now there will be an army of double agents working against Trump and the Republicans.

No matter how we slice it, it is as Senator Schumer said, “The Republicans OWN this.” In a lot more ways than the Republicans EVER realized.

Let them strut, swagger, belch out their blowhard BS…the underbelly can work far more effectively while these nutbaggers are mouthing off.

          1. Mama Bear January 12, 2017

thanks, I was getting really depressed to think you just resigned:)

          2. Eleanore Whitaker January 12, 2017

We are close. Not close enough. The hardest part is forcing the GOP to admit their part in election rigging. What they want is for it to disappear. Storms happen without warning. Theirs will too.

          3. dpaano January 12, 2017

As I said above, we MUST let our voices be heard every time they try to do something that we don’t agree with!! Many voices, phone calls, letters, e-mails, etc. will show them that they are being watched VERY carefully. After all, they can always be voted out if they don’t do the job that we pay them for! They need to remember that they do NOT own the government…..we do!

          4. idamag January 13, 2017

I understand, that when they wanted to eliminate the Ethics Committee (and that speaks volumes about who they are) there were so many phone calls they backed off.

          5. Eleanore Whitaker January 13, 2017

Actually, I’ve done just that. At the moment, I am researching a Constitutional legal expert who can find a way to disband the Republican Party. They are really the cancer that metastacized this government to Trump.

There is a January 21st protest march in my state and several across the nation in about 12 other states.

The problem is not so much Trump as it is the Republican Party. Look who in the GOP acts as if they are the back room presidential executive board: McConnell, Ryan, Chaffetz, Issa, Cornyn, Gohmert and the rest of the gang of thugs who stand together in every photo op.

Unless we take down the Republican Party, we will continue to have rigged elections, repealed legislation and spiteful little boys who will pull off another Trump liar in chief. We need this?

          6. dpaano January 13, 2017

I totally agree with you….keep us in the loop on what’s happening with your research. I often wish that I could get involved in some of these marches, but being handicapped (bad knees), I have problems with anything where I have to stand for long periods of time or walk very far. However, I’m always there in spirit if nothing else. My only choice in being an activist is to constantly keep in touch with my representatives in the Senate, the House, and the Congress whenever I see something that is wrong! Hopefully, when you march on January 21st, you’ll keep me in mind as I will be there in my heart!!

        2. jmprint January 12, 2017

No, we all need to stay vigilant. Trump is a danger to society. Take away his inheritance and he would be just another street person on opioids. We can not allow this con man to run our country to the ground. He is owned by Russian Mafia and if we stop him Russia will have no use for him.

          1. stcroixcarp January 12, 2017

The real danger that trump poses for all of us is that he is a diversion. While the news media is speculating about whether or not trump hired prostitutes to pee on a hotel room bed that may or may not have been slept on by president and Mrs. Obama on a visit to Russia, the republican congress is destroying our social security, medicare, affordable care act,, the environment, public education, financial safeguards, civil rights, economy, etc. and hurling us at lightning speed toward nuclear war and white supremacy. I am a very nervous citizen.

          2. Eleanore Whitaker January 12, 2017

Actually, you are a VERY astute citizen. You are aware of how the Republicans are relying heavily on distractions and diversions. If we learned anything from President Obama it is how to qualify and quantify “time” to strike back. He taught all of us how to talk softly and carry a BIG stick. In his last address to the nation, he said, “YES WE CAN.” He reminded us of our duty as citizens to stand up for our democracy, hard as that can be.

Be stalwart, persistent and make your persistence pay off. Trump will be a smear on US history we will come to wish we could erase. But, he will remain as a reminder of a period of US history that caused our nation great shame and a near loss of democracy.

Remember when Queen Elizabeth the First refused to put her then lover and traitor, Robert Dudley to death? She kept him alive as history reports, to remind her of how close she came to “death.”

          3. jmprint January 12, 2017

Yes me too, and the other thing they are distracting is that there is proof he laundered money for Russia Mafia. All we have to do is see his tax forms.

          4. dpaano January 12, 2017

Personally, I think we ought to subpoena his tax records from the IRS. There MUST be an AG of SOME state that would be brave enough to do it! We deserve to know Trump’s finances and how much in debt he is to overseas entities BEFORE he’s inaugurated!

        3. dpaano January 12, 2017

Sorry, I refuse to do that. As I’ve said before in other posts…I fully intend to keep communicating with my representatives in Washington, D.C. and letting them know on a daily basis, if necessary, what needs to be done. This is what we pay their salaries for, and this is what I will constantly be reminding them of. They, like others, can always be voted OUT of office when their term is up if they don’t do their jobs, and their job is to support their constituents! So, I suggest we do NOT turn out heads and wait out the inevitable….we become the voices of the people and CONSTANTLY remind our politicians that we are here, we are watching them, and we expect them to do their jobs!! After all, it was NOT the party that voted for them….it was you and I…..and we can vote them out if they fail! I’ve got all my representative’s phone numbers on speed dial…..they’ll be hearing from me either by a phone call OR via mail if there’s something that needs to be said! Trust me on that one! If we ALL do this….we might actually get listened to!

          1. idamag January 12, 2017

Yes. If I call or write a letter, they won’t pay any attention, but if they get lots of calls and letters, they might.

          2. dpaano January 13, 2017

Definitely, my feelings exactly, especially those representatives whose seats are up for re-election in 2018. They are the ones that will listen the most, trust me on this! If they want to keep their seats, they need to realize that Trump and his ideas are not the ideas of a majority of this country!!!

        4. idamag January 12, 2017

No. Get “legislator’s” phone numbers and call.

    2. idamag January 12, 2017

It shows how low we have sunk. When Rockefeller was running for president, he had to drop out because there was no way a divorced man could become president. Now we have one who cheats on his wives, marries an illegal alien hooker who posed naked on her back with her legs spread, bragged about sexually assaulting women and was right when he said he could kill someone onf 5th Avenue in New York and not lose one supporter.

  6. Eleanore Whitaker January 12, 2017

All this proves is that there are some Americans who are so damn guilty their only excuse for living is to dump their guilt on others by smear campaigns, fearmongering and lying. What these morons of the right and Trump wants is for his mental illness to be “normal.”

Okay. Is it normal for a president elect to refuse to abide by the rules set forth by 44 other presidents? Is it normal for a president elect to act like a spoiled overindulge Mommy Mary ANN Trump’s Mommy’s boy? Is is normal for these mentally unhinged nuts to cover up what they do at every possible opportunity?

One may only wonder what in hell their kids will be like. Most of us seniors won’t be around to see the results of allowing a big mouth, ruthless, control freak liar, cheat and thief to appear “normal.”

Tillerson refused to admit that he KNOWS Putin is a murderer and has killed off 34 plus journalists who, like Trump, DARED to disagree.

How on the hell do we accept a tyrant who acts as if he is the KING? How do we tolerate his family of mentally unstable brats who want to lap up billions more for their Trump Empire?

We know what they dangers are of allowing this Pretender to the Presidency to get alway with election rigging. Elections will be abolished because there is NO point in holding any election that is going to be rigged by big money. There is no point in elections that produce morons from the south and midwest who only know how to “get religion” as a cover up for “their” “sins.”

Cover up..that is what the this Pretender to the Presidency has always been about and always will be. The very fact that every lawsuit and every fine has NEVER gotten him thrown in prison and has always been “settled out of court” proves there is no longer any point in pretending he won’t have his army of crooks, thieves, rapists and liars all massing to look “normal.”

  7. Jim Samaras January 12, 2017

There was very little “adversarial” journalism with regard to Obama (he was actually coddled and given adulation) and when there was it was ignored and he pulled the executive action card. It’s refreshing to me to see him stand up to the likes of CNN and their biased journalism

    1. FireBaron January 12, 2017

I throw down the BS flag on that one! The entire Right Wing news organization, let by Fox, set out to undermine Obama’s presidency since he won the nomination. They refused to acknowledge his Hawaiian birth, they refused to acknowledge his Harvard Law Journal experience, they only focused on his time as a “community organizer” and not as a Constitutional Law professor. They claimed his wife was not patriotic. Should I go on, or have you ignored every thing past my first word?

      1. Jim Samaras January 12, 2017

I see, I find it interesting that with all his “charisma” that caused women to be drawn to him during his campaign and presidency, certainly would in the normal course of events, lead some lady to come forward to say she dated or even knew him if for no other reason than to garner attention for herself. We’ve heard about every other presidents past relationships. Not one to even say he was shy or a good dancer or ANYTHING. Not one news station asked or was curious. Hmmmm

Who was the best man at his wedding? Ask the groomsman? Who were they? Hmmm. Anyone ever talk to any of his professors who taught him to say he was a good student or what? I find it odd that nobody knew him or taught him or lived with him. Hmmmm, the media certainly should be at least curious about those questions, no? As insignificant as we may be there’s always somebody that remembers us as a class clown or a dork or a brain. Seems odd no one comes forward and the media never asked. Hmmmm

Even George Stephanopolous who has coddled him immensely doesn’t remember him from Columbia University, nobody does. And why not a campaign to release THOSE records like Trumps tax returns. I’m sure every other president has. Hmmmm

Or why was Obamas law license “inactivated” in 2002? Why no record of him ever taking the bar exam? Why was Michelles law license inactivated by court order and never spoken of? Hmmm

The Social Security number he uses now originated in Connecticut where he is reported to have never lived. And was originally registered to another man (Thomas Louis Wood) from Connecticut, who died in Hawaii while on vacation there. As we all know Social Security Numbers are only issued ‘once, they are not reused’ No wonder all his records are sealed…

Answer a few of those questions and why the media hasn’t asked for answers and I’ll stand corrected

        1. W. Coyote January 12, 2017

Both of the Obama requested for their law licenses to be placed on “inactive” status because when he ran for office he wouldn’t be actively practicing law. Inactive does no mean giving up the license- it simply means you don’t have to fees and take continuing education courses. It’s a common practice.

          Concerning the Social Security number:

“This fantastical tale about President Barack Obama’s having used a Social Security number (SSN) issued to a French immigrant named Jean Paul Ludwig, born in 1890, is easily debunked. As can be verified through the Social Security Death Index (SSDI), a database of death records created from the United States Social Security Administration’s Death Master File Extract, the Social Security Administration was in fact informed of Ludwig’s death, and the Social Security number assigned to him was not, as claimed, the same as that assigned to Barack Obama (042-68-4425), but rather a completely different number (045-26-8722). Ludwig also didn’t pass away until 1981, by which time Barack Obama had long since been assigned a Social Security number of his own:

The premise of this claim is also flawed in concept, as Barack Obama was born in United States and thus there would have been no reason for his grandmother to appropriate someone else’s Social Security number for use by him. (Since non-citizens can legally obtain Social Security numbers the issue is irrelevant anyway, as possession of a Social Security number is not in itself an indicator of citizenship.)

Likewise, the claim that Social Security numbers beginning with 042 are “reserved for Connecticut residents” is false.”

I hope that helps for at least two of your claims.

          1. Jim Samaras January 12, 2017

Likewise, the claim that Social Security numbers beginning with 042 are “reserved for Connecticut residents” is false.”

Why does nobody know him from his past? Strange indeed

          2. jmprint January 12, 2017

Nobody care to no you and I don’t find that strange.

          3. W. Coyote January 12, 2017

JIm- Thank you for your response and for providing the link. I checked it out and I must say I wasn’t impressed Doesn’t look too official to me. Anyone with an Excel spreadsheet can make a similar chart.

As far as President Obama’s past is concerned, I’m not sure what you want to me to say. But at least he was noticed by the New York Times in 1990:

“First Black Elected to Head Harvard’s Law Review

By FOX BUTTERFIELD, Special to The New York Times

            Published: February 6, 1990

BOSTON, Feb. 5— The Harvard Law Review, generally considered the most prestigious in the country, elected the first black president in its 104-year history today. The job is considered the highest student position at Harvard Law School.

The new president of the Review is Barack Obama, a 28-year-old graduate of Columbia University who spent four years heading a community development program for poor blacks on Chicago’s South Side before enrolling in law school. His late father, Barack Obama, was a finance minister in Kenya and his mother, Ann Dunham, is an American anthropologist now doing fieldwork in Indonesia. Mr. Obama was born in Hawaii.”

          4. Jim Samaras January 12, 2017

It’s what I’ve found to go on but, ok. Thanks for the editorial as that’s the first one I’ve seen. Still seems strange we know more about Trump than Obama but okay

          5. W. Coyote January 13, 2017

Good morning Jim- Your are welcome. I think we know more about Trump because he is ultimately a narcissist who basks in the limelight. He craves attention and publicity. But whether his supporters really know about him or not is debatable. For example he presents himself as a business genius, but his actual business record says otherwise. Beyond that, I’ll leave you with some words of wisdom from our esteemed President-elect:

“You know, it really doesn’t matter what the media write as long as you’ve got a young, and beautiful, piece of ass.”

          6. Jim Samaras January 13, 2017

That sounds like a quote from years ago but I hear ya. That crap doesn’t really bother me as I’ve been known to be a bit cavalier at times myself.

He does however own more than 500 companies at this point. One does not succeed in every endeavor however and to have turned a million dollar loan 35 years ago into about 10 Billion is a pretty good feat. He is surrounding himself with smart business and military people from what I’ve seen so far, much more so than the previous administration who all have been public sector employees all their lives with no real world experience in my view. The past is the past as far as Obama is concerned but has left many with legitimate questions on his history. Time to move on and hope for the best but I believe we will be witness to one of the best administrations in years. Good luck to you W and us all

          7. W. Coyote January 13, 2017

Hi JIm- If you are interested I would recommend that you do a little more research on Trump’s business dealings. First of all, how do you know about “10 Billion”? He refuses to supply his tax returns, so we have no way of knowing what he is really worth. Beyond that, you might want to look into his Atlantic City casinos. He got heavily into debt, overspent, and entered bankruptcy. Later he took the casinos public and sold stock. He paid himself over 400 million, but lost money for the many middle class investors and pension funds that bought the stock. He said “That’s good for me- too bad for them”. He was heavily in debt to Wall Street banks and they bailed him out. They decided his name was worth more than his actual business and allowed him to stay in business. He basically has made a lot of money simply because he is self proclaimed celebrity, not because of his business acumen. “Best administration in years”? Well, time will tell. I have my doubts. We are trading someone who is intelligent, articulate, and rational for someone who is narcissistic, impulsive, thin skinned and who loves to humiliate people.

          8. Jim Samaras January 13, 2017

Hello W. I saw that same documentary on his Atlantic City casino investments and the fact that his name brought him back from the depths of bankruptcy. While doing so he did use the laws of the land for his own aggrandizement. Business is many times a zero sum game, winners and losers. I realize this is not the way government should work but has over the last 40 years as we see with the growing inequality in our country and all over the world. Knowing this game well may guide him to a different way of governance where the common man has a bigger voice than big business. I’ve said many times here on this forum that you either trust him or you don’t. I personally am one that does. The status quo has not worked except for the top 1% and it is those very people who are the most vocal against which leads me to believe we are on to something. Nothing is the same as it was now and his thrashing the press is refreshing to me and many others who witnessed the MSM, with the exception of FOX News, doing all they could to discredit him. Time WILL tell and everyone has doubts but if the Obama regime didn’t destroy us in 8 years I can’t see Trump doing worse. Just my opinion W.

BTW a tax return doesn’t tell a persons net worth.
All the tax return will show is income. There are lots of reasonable strategies for lowering income while investing in and growing business assets.
In all likelihood, Trump is income poor and asset rich, with most of his assets tied up in real estate. From some tax returns you can get an idea of someone’s net worth. If it’s mostly investment income from brokerage accounts, which isn’t Trumps deal, you could divide the amount of dividend income by the average dividend yield to get a really rough estimate of what the account is worth.
For someone with a Trump like situation it would be impossible.

          9. W. Coyote January 14, 2017

I realize the tax returns don’t reveal net worth. But they would at least give some glimpse into his finances, which may or may not be what he claims.
President Obama did not destroy anything, despite the efforts of the right wing echo chamber to convince you otherwise. We were on the brink of a depression and bogged down in an disastrous occupation of Iraq ( which created Al Qaeda in Iraq then ISIS. Despite Republican spin, ISIS was created in 2006 – an unintended consequence of the occupation).
I don’t think the so called “MSM” is doing anything to discredit Trump. Of course on the talk shows there are commenters who editorialize, But the networks have responsible journalists who do actual news reporting, in which they usually just quote him and give him a lot of free publicity. Trump discredits himself when he passes judgment on John McCain, brags about groping women, and mocks a disabled reporter. Would you rather the “MSM” simply ignore those disgusting remarks because makes himself look bad?

          10. Jim Samaras January 14, 2017

MSM has OWNED the news for the past 40 years and now Trump has single handedly changed that and they don’t like it. Too bad! The election showed that the people really don’t care about off the cuff remarks as much as they hate Obamas direction of hope and change. Had he taken that 700 billion bail out money and used it in a way that it got to the people who really needed it instead of giving it to the banks and Wall St who did not give it out in the form of much needed loans but to the employees in the form of bonuses I may have a higher opinion of him. ISIS may have really been the JV team back in 06 but when they became a force any policies that Bush had made should have been reversed as times changed. It was up to the leader of the free world to do the right thing that maybe didn’t coincide with any deals that had been made by his predecessor which is why I voted for Obama in the first election. No, I’m sorry, the decisions made by this administration has set us back not only in the eyes of the world but in race relations within our country. Trump will bring the change that we looked forward to in 08 and we will look back at the Obama years and ask “what were we thinking”

          11. W. Coyote January 15, 2017

            Good morning Jim-

“MSM has OWNED the news for the past 40 years” Can you prove that statement through any solid evidence? I am well aware of the talking points found on Fox and other sources. The reality is that despite all the whining done on Fox, Rush, etc, we live in media environment dominated by conservative voices. I’ll be happy to back that statement up if you are interested.
Obama had nothing to do with the “700 billion bail out money”. The banks that failed around 2007-8 were part of the real estate bubble that was caused by Republican efforts to deregulate the banking industry and loose oversight on the part of the Bush Administration. I think Henry Paulson was philosophically opposed to any bailout, but he held his nose and asked for it to prevent us slipping into a Depression. The bailout was passed in Oct. of 2008, which was 3 months before Obama took office.
And yes, the information Obama received from the generals and other intelligence was that ISIS was “the JV team” for a while. There were many competing groups in the insurgency fighting for supremacy. Mocking Obama for his assessment “a JV team” is known as a “red herring” if you are interested at all in the logical fallacies. It is used to distract you from the real issue. There would be no ISIS if we had not invaded Iraq or set up a disastrous occupation.

          12. Jim Samaras January 15, 2017

            Hello W.

Call me a conspiracy nut but from Walter Cronkite to Brian Williams the media has spun the news to manipulate the public to think a certain way. You call CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN and ABC a conservative media? here’s a little background of our MSM:

ABC News executive producer Ian Cameron is married to Susan Rice, National Security Adviser.
CBS President David Rhodes is the brother of Ben Rhodes, Obama’s Deputy National Security Adviser for Strategic Communications.
ABC News correspondent Claire Shipman is married to former Whitehouse Press Secretary Jay Carney
ABC News and Univision reporter Matthew Jaffe is married to Katie Hogan, Obama’s Deputy Press Secretary
ABC President Ben Sherwood is the brother of Obama’s Special Adviser Elizabeth Sherwood
CNN President Virginia Moseley is married to former Hillary Clinton’s Deputy Secretary Tom Nides.
And now you know why it is no surprise the media is in Obama’s pocket. This is just the last eight years alone.
Still don’t believe Obama has been coddled a bit and Trump and his agenda has been biased against?

While it’s true the Bush years allowed the crash with ridiculous lending standards started during the Clinton years including no doc loans and no money down coupled with no oversight on Wall St. packaging them up as AAA rated bundles, Obama allowed a second wave of cash infused to the very knuckleheads that created the mess….again with no oversight.

Again, I’m no fan of Bush and we will never know the real reason for the invasion of Iraq. I believe it was to just kick the economic can down the road again “distracting you from the real issue.
Is it any wonder Trump is suspicious of “intelligence” with their track record? If the truth is out there Trump may very well ferret it out which may be establishments biggest fear.

          13. W. Coyote January 16, 2017

Jim- If you are going to play guilt by association, you might want to look for more impressive associations. I just looked at one piece of your supposed conspiracy- Ben and Elizabeth Sherwood. Both Rhodes Scholars-obviously a very bright, high functioning family. Elizabeth worked on the issue of destroying the Syrian chemical weapon stockpile. Are you in favor of Assad keeping the chemical weapons?
Are you concerned because they are brother and sister, Elizabeth is going to lobby Ben to keep Malia and Sasha’s favorite TV shows on the air? What exactly is your concern?
While you are thinking about that one, please answer this one- What did Walter Cronkite do? What did Brian Williams do that upsets you so much?
Beyond that can you give me specifics about “spun the news” and “manipulate the public to think in a certain way”? I’m looking for exact quotes in context and proof that the news has been spun. Now I fully understand Roger Ailes has built a career trying to convince you of such things, but I am looking for proof from a neutral source.

          14. Jim Samaras January 16, 2017

Unless you believe in that many coincidences there is guilt by association. Many liberals are bright but are misguided in their elite belief that they know what’s better for the public than the people do and if their beliefs aren’t followed then the rest of us are morons. Of course I don’t believe Assad should keep chemical weapons and even a broken watch is right twice a day. My concern is that they protect Obama and his policies even though there are differing views and ignore any negative opinion as though it does not exist. Come on!

Walter Cronkite was a One World Order supporter as was evidenced after his retirement. Of course this is just one man’s view but I tend to agree. All opinions of course.

Do I really have to tell you about the lies of Brian Williams that got him bounced from the NBC Nightly News?

          15. W. Coyote January 16, 2017

Brian Williams exaggerated an experience in a war zone. He should not have done it. He apologized and paid the price. Bill O’Reilly did the same thing. I’m assuming you are just as critical of O’Reilly.
In any case, Brian William exaggerated how close he was to a war zone. Your point is?

          16. Jim Samaras January 17, 2017

If all one had to do is apologize and “take full responsibility” Hillary would be president. Yes, he paid the price and lost all credibility just like HC. My point is the MSM are all self aggrandizing pieces of garbage with an agenda and their agenda was to coddle Obama because of what he set up as is evidenced above

          17. W. Coyote January 18, 2017

Good morning Jim- I hope you are doing well today. Your response brought me a smile, because it reminded me of my 10th Grade English teacher- Miss Workman (many decades ago). While she was trying to teach us knuckleheads how to write, she would stand in front of the class, wag her crooked forefinger, and say “Beware the glittering generality”. What you’ve presented so far would make her turn over in her grave. “all self aggrandizing pieces of garbage with an agenda”.
Now, I am well aware that you are repeating tried and true soundbites (the Roger Ailes network perhaps? Rush? Dr. Weiner?) but I’m looking for actual evidence of an agenda.
The attack on Walter Cronkite is truly laughable. Walter Cronkite lost the war in Viet Nam? Really? We dropped more tonnage of bombs than WWII, deforested vast swaths of the countryside, escalated to about 600,000 etc. And you are blaming Walter Cronkite? Whew! You might want to do some research into the lies our government told us about what was going on there.

          18. Jim Samaras January 18, 2017

G’moring W. thank you yes, I’m doing well and hope you are too.

Glad I could make you smile my friend! If there were true evidence he would not be held in the high regard he is today but not many delve into the mindset of the liberal media. It’s my OPINION that Mr. Cronkite was a OWO enthusiast and I am not alone in my assessment. Now do I believe he lost the war in Viet Nam? Of course not! That was about the time the war was on TV screens across the nation and it was thought that the American people could not stomach what it would take to actually win the war. Probably true! I’m also not certain that we WANTED to win but only to keep the machine going. Had the technology existed in 1945 we would perhaps be speaking German today.

We’ve been lied to many times W! I’d love to know the truth behind 9/11 for example. We’ll see….

          19. W. Coyote January 18, 2017

The link you sent suggested Cronkite was largely responsible for Viet Nam.
Let’s try an experiment Jim. Tomorrow night tune in to ABC, NBC, or CBS evening news. As you are well aware, there is difference between reporting and commentary. Pay attention to the reporting. Write down or record all the blatant bias you can find, especially the parts that betray the “MSM agenda”. Could you please let me know what you find? I’m interested in exact words in context. Otherwise, keep striving.

          20. Jim Samaras January 16, 2017

Other examples of spun news by left wing media outlets and results

            DAN RATHER

Ousted as CBS anchor in 2004 after using suspect documents to accuse George W. Bush of going AWOL from the National Guard.

            MICHAEL SAVAGE

Fired by MSNBC in 2003 for telling a caller to the show that he was a “sodomite” who should “get AIDS and die.”

            MARV ALBERT

Fired by NBC in 1997 after pleading guilty to assault and battery charges involving the biting and abuse of an ex-girlfriend.

            PETER ARNETT

Reprimanded by CNN in 1998 for a project with Time that accused the Army of using nerve gas against U.S. soldiers. The report was retracted.

            MICHELE GILLEN

Demoted by NBC, which also fired three producers, over a 1993 Dateline broadcast that staged the fiery explosion of a GM truck.

            LILIA LUCIANO

Fired by NBC in 2012, along with a producer, over deceptive editing of the George Zimmerman 911 call in the Trayvon Martin case.

          21. dpaano January 16, 2017

Good luck getting proof from Jim….he has NO proof and only spouts what he hears on FAUX News or from Breitbart! He doesn’t bother to fact check anything and is only brainwashed to believe what the GOP tells him to believe!

          22. dpaano January 12, 2017

Everything that you said is absolutely true….it’s been fact checked to the max! Unfortunately, the Trump followers are brainwashed to ONLY believe the info that they are fed by their handlers despite the fact that it can easily be discredited if they’d get off their lazy butts and do their homework!

          23. W. Coyote January 12, 2017

dpaano- Good evening and thank you for your response. I laughed when I read your comment.. Let me explain. My mother, who just turned 88, has never been especially politically minded. But Trump has caught her attention and she is horrified at the things he says. Of course she has plenty of friends who are Trump supporters. She says “Trump has brainwashed those people!” I say, “Mama, I don’t think it’s actually possible to brainwash millions of people at the same time”, So now we have these lively political conversations almost daily.
In any case, they may have lazy butts and need to do homework, but they have the numbers. Compare the measly 87 comments on this story to the hundreds or even thousands that are generated on Breitbart or WND routinely. It may be depressing for you to check out those sites but I would recommend it to you. Otherwise, I hope you are doing well.

          24. idamag January 12, 2017

If you are talking about Jim Samaras, he did not get your drift. You are a person who does research and knows what you are talking about. Name callers are cowardly bullies. He is one.

          25. W. Coyote January 13, 2017

idamag- Good morning and thank you for your comment. I’ll take your word for it concerning Jim Samaras. It was my first contact with him. I’ll give him credit for one thing. In contrast to many, many “conservative” commenters, at least he tries to find some sources on which to base his views. It looks like he needs a little guidance in determining which sources are credible. Ultimately, he may or may not actually be interested in credible sources,

          26. dpaano January 13, 2017

Thanks W….I do check out those sites on occasion, but they ARE depressing and so full of BS that it’s depressing as hell! It’s my feeling, as it is yours, that many of the Trump followers have been seriously brainwashed by FAUX News and Breitbart and are clearly suffering from Stockholm Syndrome! By the way, I’ve mentioned this to others, but I just read an interesting book entitled “Trump Unveiled: Exposing the Bigoted Billionaire,” by John K. Wilson, and I highly recommend it. It’s easy reading, and it goes into ALL aspects of Trump and his personality, his past business dealings, his ties with the Mafia, etc. If you get a chance, I would suggest getting it and reading it. I would be very interested to know if anyone else on this site took my advice and got the book and interested in their comments. It’s actually kind of funny in spots, but it totally angered me that this idiot got away with such BS so many times!

          27. W. Coyote January 13, 2017

Thanks for the recommendation. I will look for it. I think the biggest untold story about Trump concerns Roy Cohn. As you are probably aware, Cohn was Trump’s lawyer, friend, and mentor in the early years. Now, I don’t subscribe to “guilt by association” against anyone. But I think Cohn’s influence is evident to this day. I’ve seen Cohn referred to as “evil” and ” no morals” by people who knew him. Trump’s tactics- attack, never apologize, and use of lawsuits all come straight from Cohn.

          28. dpaano January 16, 2017

Cohn was just as big a crook as Trump, and I believe the book does mention him and his dealings with Trump.

        2. Jeff Zakany January 12, 2017

Jim Samaras is an example of the problem we have with the fake news outlets in the USA. It’s obvious he gets his info from those right wing media outlets such as Fox News, and believes all the false info they feed him. Then, when an informed person provides proof that his claims are false it is dismissed as being fake news from the mainstream liberal media.

          1. Jim Samaras January 12, 2017

I haven’t dismissed anything. SS# are based on where applied or born and provided a link to prove.

You must be a smart guy. Why no release of college transcripts? The media is all over Trump for tax returns, is turnabout not fair in your way more informed mind? I’d love to even hear a story about him from there. Enlighten me please

          2. roguerunners January 12, 2017

Hello! Lets have Trump’s Taxes! Obama is not the issue! Deflect, deflect deflect.

          3. dpaano January 13, 2017

Agreed….Trump doesn’t seem to understand that we ALL want to see his tax returns. He thinks that “most of the people” aren’t interested in seeing them! Unfortunately, that’s not true, but then again, he lies just to hear himself talk!

          4. jmprint January 12, 2017

OK so obviously this story has been going around for 8 years, and was a dead end just like the birth certificate. And you want to revive this fake news, because like Conway, you need something to try and make Trumps seem reasonable, but he himself has proved, over and over and over that he is irrational and not fit to be our president. After 8 year Obama served you, he kept you safe and afloat with dignity and courage, against all odd(balls) and non of those fake news interfered with his governance, in the end, he was still concerned about ALL citizens.

          5. idamag January 12, 2017

Anyone who defends a sexual predator, must be one.

          6. jmprint January 13, 2017

            Or admire them for it.

          7. dpaano January 13, 2017

Unfortunately, these trolls have NO idea what “fake news” is vs. “real news.” They only tend to believe what they want to believe even when it’s proven to be wrong! Again, it’s just another part of Stockholm Syndrome!!

    2. InGen12 January 12, 2017

Obama’s 8 years of administration had no scandals so why would there be “adversarial” journalism? The man maintained his classy image the entire time, in spite of Fox News constantly trying to undermine him. Trump invites the negative publicity every time he opens his mouth. There are some people who LOVE the drama and he is one of them.

      1. Jim Samaras January 12, 2017

The media was told to “stand down” on any negative publicity or questions. See my answer to FireBaron below

        1. The lucky one January 12, 2017

Told by whom, their predominantly right wing ownership?

          1. Jim Samaras January 12, 2017

            The $100,000 question

          2. jmprint January 12, 2017

He answered all question directed to him and professionally, something the trumpf isn’t capable of doing. What a dog you elected. Can’t even handle easy peesy questions.

        2. jmprint January 12, 2017

Why are we suppose to tippy toe around trumf.

          1. Jim Samaras January 12, 2017

Why was Obama tippy toed around? Maybe because he was black and anyone questioning him would be called racist? Just a thought

    3. jmprint January 12, 2017

Yes, but you like communism, we don’t.

      1. Jim Samaras January 12, 2017

Yes you do. You were a Bernie supporter

        1. jmprint January 12, 2017

Are you related to Itsfun, you guys have the same traits, your are always wrong. I supported the only one that was qualified Hillary.

          1. itsfun January 12, 2017

How many times yesterday did you tell me the fake news about President-elect Trump was true and not fake??? Was I wrong or was it you?? I know you will respond with some made up lie. That is what you always do.

          2. jmprint January 12, 2017

Who says it’s fake news Trump and Conway? They don’t count, because they have been label two of the most hugest liars in 2016-2017. Go back and listen to what the director said, he did not say it was fake, they said the information came from a credible guy, but that they had not confirmed either way. (He is having to hide from the Russian for telling the truth) And they have not even mentioned the news that Trump laundered money for the Russian Mafia with his SoHo ventures. You are allowing Russia to make fools of the United State, so in the end when you find out you were duped I hope to hell you can be man enough to apologize for being such a dumb but(t)

          3. itsfun January 12, 2017

Haven’t you watched any news shows today? Its fake. The biggest 2 liars in 2016-2017 are Obama and Hillary. Just how am I allowing Russia to do anything? Its nice of you to think I am that important, but I really don’t have any control over what Russia or any other country does or doesn’t do.

          4. jmprint January 13, 2017

Only Trump thinks you are important, as long as you don’t know or see the difference he likes you. Don’t bother responding your just too clueless.

          5. itsfun January 13, 2017

Just don’t rea what I post or reply to me. Its that simple, or is it to hard for a simpleton.

          6. idamag January 12, 2017

You are talking to someone who is not smart enough to understand what you are saying. Time Magazine did a study on internet trolls. They are like a terrible disease and are basically cowards.

          7. jmprint January 13, 2017

It listens to Rush, Fox and company and expects for us to stay dumb and uninformed like itself. Trump say it’s fake, it must be fake. Look how long it took him to admit that Russia did the hacking, and now Russia is not to happy. tsk, tsk.

    4. Jeff Zakany January 12, 2017

Jim Samaras: Your comment is asinine. We do have a problem in this country today with fake news and fake news outlets, but it’s the radical right wing outlets such as Brietbart and Fox News that are the problems.

Obama has faced plenty of tough questions over the years. He just happens to be a class act and he handled it well. Trump acts like a petulant child. Whenever he is asked a tough question he throws a temper tantrum.

  8. FT66 January 12, 2017

Trump is totally crazy. He still doesn’t know where he belongs or what title he is about to hold. He always thinks he is right and others are wrong. This principle never applies in leadership.

    1. Tom S January 12, 2017

Probably why he is always Insolvent … and Putin knows it.

  9. Carol Snee Miller January 12, 2017

Lets get something straight, Breitbart News is what FAKE news is all about. I cringe when I hear them say a reporter from Breitbart, they are nowhere close to being reporters, they are fake news bloggers.

  10. dpaano January 12, 2017

Personally, I think CNN should sue the government for not allowing them to ask valid questions at a press conference and for being disparaged by our so-called president-elect! This is NOT the way that our government should be treating the press….the press speaks for us and answers questions that are asking ourselves. To cut them out of the system is the same as disallowing the American public from asking those important questions that require answers!!

    1. Tom S January 12, 2017

I am sure Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, John Hancock and the Adams would agree with you.

  11. J, Dial January 12, 2017

Any attempt at punishing the press gets us one step closer to losing a free press. Guess we could have a single “state” media source like Pravda in Russia. Don’t be surprised if that’s Trump’s attempted solution to his problem of hating the tough questions.

    1. jmprint January 12, 2017

Except it will be called Breitbart.

    2. idamag January 12, 2017

      nazi, Germany comes to mind.

  12. Nativegrammy January 12, 2017

As I watched yesterday for a short time the faux news conference of Trump and Major Garrett jumping up and down like a jack-in-the-box, I was reminded of the obnoxious question he posed to Pres. Obama around 2015 in a news conference and wonder if Garrett appreciated the irony of what he witnessed yesterday from Trump. Pres. Obama’s almost unnerving patience, calm and civility in his response to Garrett while at the same time putting Garrett in his place for such a purposely incendiary question was and is in such blinding contrast to the crass rudeness and threatening response to Acosta’s attempt to question this hateful lying creature Trump, about to become the President of the United States! To be in such diametric opposition to what we have experienced from presidents in the past and especially with Pres. Obama whose intellect always was and is front and center along with pure and genuine civility and grace….. making Trump’s pre-pubescent sickening behavior yesterday and the flim-flam dog and pony show with his fake “folders” full of nothing putting his “lawyer” forward to double talk his newest faux plan of keeping some sort of separation between his entanglements and governing which have been knocked down AGAIN and will continue to be knocked down until Trump does the ethical thing and creates a true BLIND TRUST no matter how many tricks he and his sycophant lawyers try to pull. If this lying liar of a man, Trump, attempts to eject any of the news media from a news conference because he is challenged with facts or truth and as we all know he cannot handle those two items in life, EVERY MEMBER OF THE NEWS AND INVESTIGATIVE MEDIA SHOULD STAND UP AND WALK OUT in unison to send a loud message, even for and especially the President of the United States is answerable to those who attempt to keep this country as informed as possible only the way a FREE PRESS can AND Trump will be HELD to the SAME standard as all others who have held the presidency before! That doesn’t mean Trump will be truthful, to date he certainly has shown he has a very limited acquaintance with the truth, but he will be held accountable for his lies and his obscene behaviors…….what is it Pres. Obama’s mother said, “Reality has a way of catching up with you”…….well this old fat man, Donald J. Trump will never be able to outrun REALITY or the TRUTH……

  13. Dan S January 12, 2017

That’s ok Trumpie since you’ll be a fake President. You don’t get to start smearing news organizations doing their job and calling their coverage all fake. Shame on you for trying to silence journalists and news organizations everywhere

  14. Tom S January 12, 2017

    What a Petty Child!
His was NOT an “Easy Victory” – it was a Technicality Victory, Hillary pounded him – and would have won completely had all Hillary Votes been counted in certain Red States.

#LyingDonald is “FAKE NEWS” personified…. Even his Trumpanzees will grow tired of his tirades.

    1. Jmz Nesky January 15, 2017

But going well beyond personal commitment, many will never admit their error; instead they will continue to defend and deny while living with the shame that they will never reveal..

      1. Tom S January 15, 2017

Just like the object of their Affliction 😉

    2. InformedVoter January 26, 2017

Sorry Tom, but if anyone got illegal votes, it was HiLIARy. In Michigan alone they found that in 38% of Detroit’s precincts that HilLIARy received MORE votes than there are a registered voters!
This has been happening for the past three election cycles. The Dems have been rigging results in several states.
Meanwhile, President Trump received a MANDATE from the voters. If you eliminate CA, President Trump won the popular vote by 1.5 million. His 304-227 EC is a “landslide” when you consider how the MSM kept publishing FAKE polls that showed the HilLIARy would win easily. On the election day morning, HilLIARy already “had” 238 EC votes. So how did she not attain at least that many? The Dems thought they had their hands on rigging the election but the VOTERS saw through the FAKE MSM and gave President Trump a resounding victory.

  15. idamag January 12, 2017

Not the first time a leader of a country took steps to quiet the press. Next step: censoring.

  16. Thomas Martin January 13, 2017

Why attend any of Trump’s press conferences? Trump is the one who is acting out of line in these “conferences.” The fact is the media can’t wait for Trump’s tweets and public oratory because it is so far off the wall. Truth does not matter. I would simply refuse to attend any of these sessions.

  17. johninPCFL January 13, 2017

And then in Congress, Mark Warner asks about Russia and the power to the room gets cut off. Later, Maxine Waters mentions Russia, and the CSPAN broadcast instantly switches to Russia Today.

Putin has his Agent Orange in place, has his media in place, and will brook no argument.

    1. jmprint January 13, 2017

I’m curious as to how they controlled the electricity.

      1. johninPCFL January 13, 2017

Likely a stuxnet-like virus in the power control center. We shut down a nuclear fuel centrifuge, they shut down Congress and the free press.

Looks like Agent Orange will continue to have Putin’s full backing.

  18. Jmz Nesky January 15, 2017

And they said a fourth Reich could never become a reality. Get ready for a carnival ride that many may never come back from.
