Mueller Requests 150 ‘Blank Subpoenas’ In Virginia Court

The conservative Washington Examiner reports that special counsel Robert Mueller has filed a request in the Eastern District of Virginia for 150 blank subpoenas.

This comes to a total of 75 possible subpoenas, as every subpoena requires a copy for both the witness and defense.

The location is notable because Paul Manafort resides in the district where the subpoena requests were filed.

Manafort will next appear in court this Friday. Judge Amy Berman Jackson will hear arguments from the Mueller team about revoking his bail due to alleged witness tampering.

The trial is scheduled to begin on July 25th with Judge T.S. Ellis III presiding.
