WASHINGTON (AFP) – A team of U.S. arms experts will accompany Secretary of State John Kerry to Geneva to meet with Russian counterparts for key talks on Syria’s chemical weapons, a U.S. official said Wednesday.

Kerry will also meet with the U.N.-Arab League special envoy on Syria, Lakhdar Brahimi, State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said, adding the talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov could last until Saturday

President Donald Trump showed his ineptitude and disregard for democracy on Wednesday during a press briefing when he was asked about the peaceful transfer of power after the election.

A reporter asked: "Will you commit to making sure there is a peaceful transferral of power after the election?"

"Well, we're going to have to see what happens," Trump said.
