There’s a phenomenon in presidential politics that can be called the “dictator dance.” A Democratic commander-in-chief will issue executive orders and make unilateral decisions, followed by Republicans yelling “dictator!” Then when a Republican POTUS takes over, he does the same, followed by Democrats claiming he’s being a dictator. Nobody really gets hurt.

Leave it to Fox News to screw it all up. Bigly.

In today’s clip, comedian Jimmy Kimmel addresses a brain-dead blunder by Fox News anchor Abby Huntsman, who described the Trump-Kim Jong-un nuclear summit in Singapore as a “meeting of two dictators.” Uh-oh. Looks like Trump’s strongman style (even more like a dictator than a typical President) has left enough of an impression on the Fox team to cause Freudian slips.

Kathy Barnette, a Trumpist conspiracy-peddling Republican candidate in the Pennsylvania Senate race who has been rising through the ranks, speeding even past big-spending rivals, is facing waves of criticism and public backlash for her past anti-Muslim tweets.

On Sunday, in an interview with Fox News Sunday host Shannon Bream, after bobbing and weaving on questions probing her military service, Barnette tried to downplay the gravity of Islamophobic tweets that she had penned.
