Donald Trump Endorses Romney In Vegas

Donald Trump, the real estate mogul and reality television host who suggested last year he might have to jump in the presidential race himself in order to save America, endorsed Mitt Romney today in Las Vegas.

The news came as something of a surprise, as Newt Gingrich, the insurgent outsider and culture warrior, seemed the more natural fit for Trump’s style. But the Donald has apparently gone pragmatic as he’s aged.

Romney called the endorsement a “surreal” moment and bizarrely suggested that the erratic, birther Trump — known for taking on excessive debt at his new projects — was a better businessman than he, the celebrated private equity titan. Presumably this is because Trump has a few million more dollars than he in net assets?
