General Petraeus is what you get after 50 years of “managing” the military. He learned how to project “star power”. He never entered combat until the age of 50, and I firmly believe that was only to attain the highly prised Combat Infantry Badge. All the rest of that junk on his breast is for things like “outstanding performance in planning how to get around congess’ and shit like that. His wars were fought in the legislaftive chambers and the bedrooms.

    Merry Christmas!

“Based on information that we — our initial information — we saw no evidence to back up claims by others that this was a preplanned or premeditated attack; that we saw evidence that it was sparked by the reaction to this video.” – Jay Carney on Sept 17th responding to questions about what caused the Benghazi attacks on our consulate on 9/11, despite email evidence that shows Obozo knew it was a terrorist attack moments after it started.

It happened, it was tragic, it cost 4 American lives. It is what happens in war. Get over it. I don’t hear you lamenting the 5000 + American lives lost in Bush’s illegal wars. Where is your conspiracy fever over that BoZo. Ya fn hypocrite.

    • Merry X-mas Bonzo I’am sure that Obama read that E-mail because he also open and read all incoming mail to W H. He washes all the dishes after dinner, sweep the floors, he cooks, and the thing he learned very well at Harvard “shinning shoes” ask Donald Trump. I hope when you, fox and Darrel Issa run that boy out of the W H you’ll start looking for those weapon of mass destruction. 5000 dead American, 30,000 injured, there are 200,000 dead Iraq’s for you and Mr Issa to look into, just saying.

      • ObozoMustGo says:

Merry Christmas to you as well, Vern. Thank y0u. On the topic of WMD… does it concern you that we are hearing the exact same thing from Obozo about Syria? You know, the “rumors” that Assad is going to use chemical weapons against the rebels…. errr… I mean Al Qaida…. errr… I mean rebels? Seems like a replay, doesnt it?

        Merry Christmas!

Obozo, please go to Syria and check out those chemical weapons yourself. Be sure to sniff a lot; we don’t want any to go missing.

OMG! What’s happening? Did you use up all your quotes from your library? You’re now settling for Facebook postings for your quotes? What next? Posting quotes from National Memo posters? Get to a bookstore and get a new book. I will recommend “The Heretic’s Handbook of Quotations,” edited by Charles Bufe.

Hope you had a Merry Christmas OMG. And a Happy New Year!

          • ObozoMustGo says:

Metro, I’ve posted that guy’s quote many times. And I re-post, as appropriate, any quote from anyone that makes a good point, particularly if relevant to the discussion at hand. Sometimes, the quote isn’t relevant, but I just like it. You know that, Metro. You just don’t like some of my quotes. I get it, but accept it as a price of “doing business” as your friend.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and Mrs. Metro!

Your quotes are dumb, as is your hackneyed “Have a nice day.”

I have seen it before, OMG. I’m just not sure what his point is. Does he somehow feel neglected by Obama? I believe they were suitably acknowledged. I suspect he made the statement because he doesn’t like Obama. I don’t like his statement because I believe he made it for purely political reasons, not because he actually feels neglected. After all, he isn’t the first SEAL to try and capitalize on their involvement, and some of their comments are rejected by other SEALS. If he is making these statements simply to bring attention on himself, I find that less than honorable. If he’s right. I still wouldn’t like it, of course. No more than you would like a quote from someone criticizing Wayne LaPierre (and there are a few, aren’t there, but not from me.) And I do accept it as a price of “doing business” as your friend. If I only had friends who thought the same way I did my life would be terribly boring. Apparently you believe that also. If everyone we know agreed with us wholeheartedly, we would never be forced to research and back up our positions, would we. At whom would you lob your verbal “grenades.”

Happy New Year to you and all the OMG Family!

By the way, Mark Twain has long been one of my favorite authors and highly quotable humorist and observer of the human animal.

          • ObozoMustGo says:

Agreed, Metro. Life would be boring with everyone thinking alike. In fact, that’s exactly what happens in totalitarian states where people cannot speak out in disagreement. For some reason, all of those places are socialist, as well.

Great Mark Twain quotes. The man was pure brilliance.

Happy New Year, Metro! Pass my regards to Mrs. Metro.

          • metrognome3830 says:

Good evening, OMG. I couldn’t locate the bar chart you sent in re: deficits under Bush and Obama, so I will just use this one. I said at the time that Bush kept the cost of the war off the budget and you accused me of lying. The fact is, the war financing was off the budget. Bush financed the war, off-budget by using Emergency Supplemental Appropriations rather that include the cost of financing the war in the Budget he sent to Congress. He did not ask for the first ESA until after the war began — on 3/25/03 — when he asked for and received $75B. More than six months later he came back with and asked for and received $84B. The Congress did not threaten to cut his “budget,” they threatened to deny his application for another ESA. By doing this (ESAs) the war spending doesn’t formally count as part of the budget deficit for the future. I’m not a liar, but you are wrong on this.

          • ObozoMustGo says:

Hey Metro! Nice hearing from you. Had to dig back for this one, didn’t you my friend? First off, I can’t recall calling you a liar per se. I do recall suggesting that you not “spread lies” but I’m not sure what the topic was. Spreading lies from others that you think are truths and speaking lies directly are 2 different things. Perhas this was the topic.

Yet again, I am going to have to correct you, Metro. An ESA is done outside of the ordinary annual Omnibus Budget process. (I know, Obozo would not have a clue what that was). In that regard, the spending is NOT evaluated BY OMB as a part of deficit or debt PROJECTIONS which are done during ordinary budget cycles. This does NOT mean that the spending is NOT counted. In fact it is counted and very much is a component of ACTUAL deficit and debt numbers and of course all spending ends up in the budget and on the bottom line. By the way, CBO DOES include ESA’s in their projections.

The ESA process was only intened for “emergency” situations, but the act which enabled ESA’s never defined what “emergency” meant and surprise, surprise, politicians figure out loopholes to blow other people’s money. Shocker, I know.

Don’t get me wrong Metro. You know that I am no defender of Bush or his profligacy. Nor am I a defender of his use of supplemental appropriations to pay for the war. But this whole issue is still only an issue because it’s part of the “Blame Bush” narrative that comes out of Obozo’s mouth and then his apologists in the media. He uses this “blame Bush” crap as a means of saying that his spending is not his spending, and it’s a bald-faced lie. The truth is that while getting funding outside of the annual budget process is reprehensible, that does NOT mean that it is not counted toward the debt and deficit in the end analysis each year. Of course it is. Counting the past and projecting the future are 2 very different things. Your leftist media have steered you intentionally in the wrong direction again, Metro, by only giving you a smaill piece of the picture and then lying to you about the rest of that picture to paint a false narrative. That’s OK though, buddy. I am here to help.

One other point, Metro… Obozo has been funding the government through supplemental appropriations for 4 years now, and has NEVER done a single real budget.

Have a great weekend, Metro! Send my regards to the lovely and talented Mrs. Metro.

“Society is endangered not by the great profligacy of a few, but by the laxity of morals amongst all.” ― Alexis de Tocqueville, Democracy in America

PS> Regarding the chart…. Disqus apparently does not like that file and will not let me upload it. Figures.

          • metrognome3830 says:

Well, at least we have some points of agreement. Of course all the money ends up on the books — eventually, but the use of ESAs ensures that those funds do not appear until future budgets — the real one, if you will. The 2009 budget was an inheritance from the Bush administration. Did it then include the ESAs from the Bush administration? And don’t the people going after Obama fail to mention that? No apologies for Obama either, of course. Just pointing out that the spreading of lies is an old and honorable practice in the eyes of our fine elected officials. But they get by with it because a large percentage of the public does not understand what their government is doing. It just gets too complicated. Too much deliberate obfuscation. And as that famous hockey player, Alexis de Tocqueville said, “. . . the laxity of morals amongst all.” Excluding you and I, of course. Incidentally, I didn’t get my information from the leftist media. I did a search and came up with a list (a fairly big list) of articles by various authors and several other websites. They all agreed on the Emergency Supplemental Appropriations practice. They simply laid out the facts of how it works, OMG. There was nothing political about it.

Have a great weekend, OMG, from Mrs. Metro and me.

          • ObozoMustGo says:

Hey Metro… I think de Tocqueville would have been a fencer, and not a hockey player. Just a hunch…. You are correct, the complexity of government gives them the cover to screw us all, while we stand here on the sidelines arguing and fighting over a whole lot of nonsense.

Regarding ESA’s, the “Emergency” label was only added originally as a means for the Feds to come up with funds to address natural disasters and other unpredictable events. Of course, the pols abused it. Regarding any ESA’s passed on to Obozo, TARP comes to mind, but Obozo voted for it, so he can’t run from it. He owns it. Further, what the leftist freaks who have been parroting this stupid excuse that Obozo’s spending is Bush’s spending do not tell you is that included in EVERY one of the ESA’s that Bush used to gain funding for the wars, they were repleat with billions in pork that went for pet projects around the country that had nothing to do with the war. But shhhhhh…. don’t tell anyone… that doesn’t fit the leftist narrative or the narrative of Bush apologists (which you know I am not one of).

Have a great weekend, Metro. Running out for hockey today and all day tomorrow.

        • I agree with you, the difference however is the people attacking Obama for the four lives lost, (and that was to many) cannot bring themselves to admit that something was wrong with what happened in Iraq. Most us on the left would not support Obama if he did the same thing. I spent four years in the Navy, the day I was discharge I was no longer a sailor. The two ex-sailor are not seal, at best they’re mercenaries, stop pretending that these were men, in service. Also you know who cut the funds, for security at the the embassies.

          • ObozoMustGo says:

Vern, first off, the truth is that almost every single DemonRAT supported the Iraq war, as well as every other nation on earth including China and Russia. Every single national intelligence apparatus around the world said Saddam had WMD. Even the UN said he had WMD. Even Clinton and Maddy Albright and Pelosi and the rest of the Dems said the SAME EXACT THING! Don’t believe me, Vern. Believe them in their own words. Even before Bush became President. Here is the evidence: Search on YouTube for “Democrats before Iraq War” and watch them for 4 minutes all in their own words. So the blame Bush game just doesn’t hold any truth to it unless you are also going to blame all of the DemonRATS that you will see in the clip. Google it, also, and you’ll come up with 10’s of thousands of hits on the same thing. Don’t be a hypocrite now, Vern. Challenge yourself and look at the evidence.

Regarding Benghazi, you can look up in all my prior posts that I never said they were current Navy SEALs, just former, which is the truth. It is also true that the facility that was attacked was NOT a consulate, but was instead a CIA compound. There was no security there because they wanted a low profile for their operations and were showing trust to the Libyans by allowing them to police the compound and area instead of US forces. This was a huge mistake. It is also true that Ambassador Stevens was the guy that brokered heavy weapons to the “rebels” to take down Khadafi. What they are not telling us is that the rebels are actually Al Qaeda and another jihadist, terrorist group whose name escapes me at this moment. How do I know it’s Al Qaeda? Whose flag do you thing is flying over buildings in Benghazi? That’s right, it’s Al Qaeda’s black flag. It is also true that before the attack on 9/11/12 that foreign media were reporting that the “rebels” in Syria were increasingly armed with American heavy weapons including anti-aircraft missiles. This is what Obozo has been hiding since 9/11 and why they carried the lie about a stupid video for so long. It was a delay tactic for the election season and a way to buy time to allow their lap dogs at ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSLSD, NY Slimes, Wash Compost, LA Slimes, etc. etc. to formulate an attack against the enemies of Obozo.

The fact is, Vern, Obozo has been dealing arms to Al Qaeda and other terror organizations seeking to take down secular governments, all be they dictators, so they can implement governments controlled by the Muzzy Brotherhood who will institute Sharia Law like they are doing in Egypt. It’s not working out so well there, is it. It’s Obozo’s arms dealing and his disastrous foreign policy to aid in overthrow of dictators by supporting radical Islamists. Do I think he wants radical Islamists in control? No. But I think he’s misguided in believing that if he placates the radical Muzzies that they will all of a sudden like us. This is stupid, and is the basis for the whole Benghazi cover up.

And the attempt to blame Republicans for security at a CIA compound that was deliberately kept at a low profile is laughable. It’s just more of the same old blame everyone else first approach that Obozo has used for 4 years. First off, the DemonRATS in the Senate have not passed a single budget in 4 years. Second, the Repubs in the House actually have passed budgets, but they have been DOA like everything else that’s gone to Dirty Harry in 2 years. But again, this is just a ruse to change the topic away from the facts.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Boy are you full of shit today. The Democrats supported the Iraq war because Scumbag George W. Bush and his buddies like Cheney and Rumsfeld and the “neocon” shits like Wolfowitz and Feith lied about the presence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. There weren’t any.

Now, that same pile of shit is trying to get us to believe that Iran is a worldwide threat and we should initiate a war against that country. There’s an old saying: “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

If the neocons and McCain and the other warmongers want to start World War III, let them go to the Middle East and participate in the fighting. I think that America should stay the hell out of any Middle East wars. There’s nothing in it for us.

As to the economic front: There, you are really full of shit. The country doesn’t want to reduce the entitlements because those receiving those benefits are entitled to them. Entitled, get it, shithead?

Also: The country wants the rich to pay more taxes. I would do that be removing the offshore tax havens. Declare all those trilli0ns of dollars subject to ordinary income tax rates. That will bring in a few pennies and will avoid the arguments about whether to increase the top tax rate by a few percentage points.

          • ObozoMustGo says:

You have got to be the absolute dumbest CPA in the world, if you actually are one. The YouTube I p0sted was 4 minutes of video of the DemonRATS talking about Saddam having WMD, much of it BEFORE Bush came into office. Guess you didn’t want to see that, did you moron? You are fool if you believe the trash that spews forth from your keyboard. So, either your heros of the stupid in the DemonRAT party are too stupid to think for themselves and just believe what they are told, or they supported the war because they knew from Clinton’s regime that Saddam had WMD. Which one is it? Stupid, or they knew?

Talk about “fool you once…..”, what the hell do you think Obozo is saying about Syria and chemical weapons now? How stupid are you? Very!!! He’s setting up the WMD excuse again. Even though the “rebels”… hear Al Qaeda…. are laughing at his stupid claims. It’s just a cover up for Obozo to use as an excuse for arming radical Islamists so Americans are not appalled at him doing so. That’s all it is.

And your taxing position is nothing more than a position of your head up your arse, yet again. What kind of idiot suggests taxing foreign earnings and capital that remains foreign? Only the kind of idiot that wants to drive business further from America.

Dude, I gotta hand it to you. You have hit rock bottom in the stupid pit, and you’ve started to dig again. Why don’t you just be honest and admit that you are a socialist? Be honest for once in your miserable existence.

It just so happens that the party seems to be the better choice of the two when it comes to supporting a Constitutional republic. But don’t misinterpret that to mean that I am a party drone like you all are to the DemonRAT party. Not a chance.

To do that, we don’t need an army there. Bring all of the troops home. Let the Middle East solve its problems without our participation. I feel the same about another shithole: Yugoslavia. It's almost funny. I agreed with your position of getting out of the Middle East wars. But then I read on to learn it's just more of the same old moron logic out of the little pea brain we've all come to know and hate.

I guess you’re a bit out of sorts, too. After all, if you have any brains at all, you must realize that the 2012 election debacle for the Republicans was only the start of a sustained decline of that party. When the public gets to the polls in 2014, they’ll be able to demonstrate their disgust with the Republicans by reducing their numbers in the House and Senate. By 2020, the Democrate could be dominant.
