I hope the President is just “baiting” Congress to vote against action so he can say he tried to get tough on Assad but they wouldn’t let him. But if they DO vote for it and it goes wrong, the pro-war voting Congressmen, mostly Republicans, will not have any grounds to condemn the decision.
You know it’s bad when you have to count on the French to have your back.
The US has support from the entire Arab League… and after this week NATO and the 28 Countries that belong to the body (Russia not in NATO). Not sure how this is “going it alone” when Bush had Maldova, New Zealand, and Mikronesia and we all called it a coalition….
