And now…. the REAL cartoon of the day!

    Have a nice day!

“A free people ought not only be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government.” – George Washington

RPG’s for all. Myself I’m looking in to an M1A1 Abrams, but some big outfit keeps getting them all. I am absolutely certain George would have had those things in mind if he had made that statement. Unforunately for you, HE NEVER MADE ANY SUCH STATEMENT!
(You should check your sources a little more closely. Simply because you would like it to be true, doesn’t make it true.)

As always, you are trying to frame the issue as you wish it were rather than as it is. Good luck on that. I am sure there are lots of simple folk who will fall for it. As the first great Republican President said, “You can fool some of the people all the time, etc.”

asleep… Now you’re getting it right. No limits on any weapons is the best solution. You may have a real hard time running that tank, though. Their lousy on gas and maintenance will break you quickly. The RPG is probably a better choice for you and other individuals.

Re: Washington’s quote. It is actually a quote that was purported to be given in a speech to Congress on Jan. 7, 1790 and reported in the Boston Globe a week later. I have seen both sides, those claiming that he said it and others claiming that he did not. Knowing GW having read multiple books on him, and knowing that he prized the very fact that armed citizens brought their own guns to fight the revolution, it is more than likely that the quote is an accurate reflection, if not an exact quote, of his views on private ownership of weapons. After all, it was the private ownership of weapons that enabled him to claim independence from a tyrannical king and topple the greatest military in the world. Clearly, he was an avid supporter of private ownership of weapons and overthrow of oppressive governments. HE LIVED IT! Why would you think that he would believe otherwise? Other than the fact that you are a leftist freak and useful idiot.

        Have a nice day!

        • You seem to be longing for the good ole days, and living in then.

          You have a good day.

The Tea Party guy looks like Mitch McConnell.

He does, doesn’t he? Nice call, Metro!

See ya later, buddy. I’m signing off for the night! Say hello to Mrs. Metro for me! 🙂

The tone of the speech as you report it, sounds more like an economic issue. I think it might actually be a good idea if the military had to bring their own weapons. It would surely be a major factor in bringing the defense budget down. If you read multiple books on GW then you probably know that even he did not consider himself a great military genius. So he likely wouldn’t have been able to drive a tank all that well either. hehehehehe.

          Have a great day!

Good night to you and Mrs.OMG!

  • Harry Reid needs a automatic weapon one that holds 100 rounds. An old six shooter won’t do it anymore.

We need a fact check after each question as part of the upcoming debates.

  • “I pay taxes very year. I paid a lot of taxes. You might say I’m a real TAX kinda guy. You people don’t need to see my returns. Just trust me, okay?” – Mitt Romney on steroids.

  • Here’s the thing… Reid is a high ranking politician, I doubt he would go on the floor and call Romney out unless he was certain that 1) There’s not a snowballs chance in hell that Romeny would call him on it and/or/because 2) He is (career) confident on the source and facts.

  • Actually, I would think that any Republican who is truly concerned about the potential effectiveness of a Romney Administration, would be extremely interested in reviewing at least the tax returns since 2000. Discovering any potentially disqualifying information, such as total failure to pay any tax for any year, and certainly if there were no taxes paid for three to five years. If anything like that has happened, I would think that a rational party would demand that he step aside so they can nominate a candidate the people would vote for. Failure to review at least ten, twelve years worth of returns just might cause a melt-down or impeachment, if and/or when really derogatory information is discovered.

  • well harry will save us joke hes just another loser like every in the house there never b anybody for the us its all about the money put in there pockets when is every one going to learn but they willnot they keep voting for the losers well again theres no body running again well we r stuck with obama mayb nxt time that loser ann ferro will run shes a big joke as head of fmcsa shes to stupid well rommy willnot win if he does heres another bush thats all we need is another failure in office well get ready for another 4yrs with obama do think we will make threw that good luck on that
