Despite Trump, McCain Vows To Probe Russian Election Hacking

Share
John McCain disputed Trump on Russian hacking of US presidential election

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President-elect Donald Trump rejected as “ridiculous” U.S. intelligence reports that Russia intervened in the presidential election on his behalf through targeted hacking, putting him at odds with top lawmakers who vowed to investigate the findings.

He blamed Democrats for news reports on the intelligence findings and said he did not believe they came from the Central Intelligence Agency.

“I think it’s ridiculous. I think it’s just another excuse. I don’t believe it,” Trump said in an interview on “Fox News Sunday.”

Trump’s reluctance to blame Russia for interfering in the U.S. election has raised concerns among U.S. officials who fear he will go soft on Moscow at a time when they are worried about its increasingly aggressive behavior on cyber attacks and in Crimea, Ukraine and Syria.

A U.S. intelligence official, speaking on condition of anonymity, harshly criticized Trump’s rejection of the assessment that Russian hacking was intended to boost the president-elect’s prospects in the Nov. 8 election.

“It’s concerning that intelligence on Russian actions related to the U.S. election is being dismissed out of hand as false or politically partisan,” said the U.S. intelligence official.

“The inclination to ignore such intelligence and impugn the integrity of U.S. intelligence officials is contrary to all that is sacred to national security professionals who work day and night to protect this country.”

The unusually harsh comment underscored the unprecedented tensions that Trump has created with the intelligence community he will command even before he’s been sworn into office.

Two leading U.S. Senate foreign policy voices from Trump’s own party expressed alarm on Sunday about the possibility of Moscow tipping the scales in favor of an American presidential candidate and promised to begin investigating immediately.

The Obama White House, which has ordered intelligence agencies to review cyber attacks and foreign intervention in the 2016 election, has formally accused Russia of a campaign of cyber attacks against Democratic Party organizations ahead of the presidential election.

Russian officials, who have previously vehemently denied accusations of interference in the U.S. election, were quiet.

In his search for a secretary of state, Trump, a New York real estate magnate, is strongly considering Exxon Mobil Corp chief xecutive Rex Tillerson, who has close ties with Moscow and has spoken out against U.S. sanctions on Russia.

Republican Senator John McCain expressed concern about Tillerson’s close relationship with Russian leader Vladimir Putin. “That would color his approach to Vladimir Putin and the Russian threat,” he said on Sunday on CBS’ “Face the Nation.”

A number of U.S. senators have expressed concerns about Tillerson, suggesting his nomination could run into trouble in the Senate.

Trump’s pick as national security adviser, retired Army Lieutenant General Michael Flynn, has also raised eyebrows in military circles through appearances on Russia’s government-run broadcaster RT, particularly at a gala last year attended by Putin.

But Trump’s choices to lead the CIA and the Pentagon, U.S. Representative Mike Pompeo and retired Marine General James Mattis, are more likely to take a harsher stance on Russia.

U.S. intelligence agencies have told Congress and President Barack Obama’s administration that Russia has grown increasingly aggressive in Syria and Ukraine and has stepped up activities in cyberspace, including meddling, sometimes covertly, in European and U.S. elections.

A senior U.S. intelligence official told Reuters that intelligence agencies had concluded with “high confidence” that not only did their Russian counterparts direct the hacking of Democratic Party organizations and leaders, but did so to undermine Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.

Trump questioned whether the CIA was behind the reports that indicated Moscow wanted him in the White House. “I think the Democrats are putting it out,” he said in the Fox News interview.

He said the intelligence community did not agree on Russian intervention. “They’re fighting among themselves. They’re not sure,” he said.

McCain was at a loss on Sunday to explain Trump’s repudiation of the Russian meddling.

“I don’t know what to make of it because it’s clear the Russians interfered,” McCain said on CBS.

“Whether they intended to interfere to the degree that they were trying to elect a certain candidate, I think that’s a subject of investigation, but the facts are stubborn things.”

McCain and fellow Republican Senator Lindsey Graham joined Democratic Senators Chuck Schumer and Jack Reed on Sunday in expressing concern over possible Russian interference and said they would work together to investigate such cyber attacks.

“Recent reports of Russian interference in our election should alarm every American,” they said in a statement. “This cannot become a partisan issue. The stakes are too high for our country.” McCain, chairman of the Armed Services Committee, said he would have a subcommittee led by Graham begin investigating the Russian hacking immediately.

Republican House of Representatives Speaker Paul Ryan cannot comment on classified briefings, “but he rejects any politicization of intelligence matters,” spokeswoman AshLee Strong said in an email.

Trump advisers disputed elements of the news reports, focusing particularly on a New York Times story saying that intelligence officials concluded the computer systems of the Republican National Committee also had been hacked. The fact that material from that intrusion had not been released, the Times reported, supported the conclusion that Russia was trying to help Trump.

“The RNC was absolutely not hacked,” the RNC chairman and incoming White House chief of staff, Reince Priebus, said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway said Trump would not interfere with any congressional inquiry but that the president-elect regarded the spate of hacking reports as part of an effort to relitigate the election.

“He absolutely respects the intelligence community,” Conway said on CBS. “What he has said is laughable or ridiculous is that this was meant to elevate him to the presidency.”

In the “Fox News Sunday” interview, Trump also discussed his decision to receive the President’s Daily Brief, or PDB, a highly classified document that can include details of U.S. and allied covert operations, once a week, far less often than most of his predecessors.

Trump said a number of his top advisers received the briefing and he did not need to get the report more frequently under routine circumstances. “I don’t need to be told the same thing every day, every morning – same words. ‘Sir, nothing has changed. Let’s go over it again.’ I don’t need that,” he said.

Good that individuals from both parties have the sense to work together(despite the Emperor-child named Trump being opposed to resolving the issue), and can see the wisdom in collaboration to address the breach of the voting process—a breach that swayed the minds of so many voters too biased and small-minded to be concerned about the welfare of the entire nation.
Donald and many ill-mannered and intemperate supporters of his are acting like some sub-species of humanoids, acting lower than animals.
Trump and his chumps, Putin and certain other comrades, Chinese ministers and their affiliates, are only decreasing the odds of working together with others to solve common problems, and don’t intend to correct the situation.

Furthermore, the GOP leadership and many of the common citizens in America view the workings of a nation as some idiotic sporting event, with team Democrat always seen as competing against team GOP, “Liberals” versus “Conservatives”, “Progressives” versus “Stultified Isolationists”, etc.
Some day we’re going to face a crisis of such magnitude that this stupid tendency to frame people in tiny packets according to political ideology will doom the nation’s ability to be viable and functional—-This goes for the Chinese and Russians, jihadists and Israelis, Syrians, and the numerous bit players behind the scenes in their mothers’ basements.

In the meantime, Trump needs a timeout in a straight-jacket in a padded room w/o Twitter access, until he can discover how to act like an adult rather than tweet like some demented over-grown sparrow.

Jolly good of responsible people from both Parties wishing to work together—over and out.

This election was handled by the media as they would a sport with the election the Super Bowl. It was all about who was scoring points and winners and losers. No wander that we are a divided nation. Now is the time for the adults to step forward and get back to the business of the nation. With a spoiled child as President it will be up to congress to keep us going as a country. Heaven help us.

You also see what has been transpiring for decades now—the transformation of politics into some modern-day gladiator event.
Unfortunately, Congress is nowadays composed mainly of child-like officials who closely resemble in temperament the president-elect, and therefore can’t be relied on to be effective counter-balances to Lord Fauntleroy’s frequent outbursts.

Maybe Trump’s presidency will bring the sane Republicans and the Democrats together for once to fight off the ruination of this nation. We can only hope that they care enough to see and act on anything that Trump does that will not help this country! If it takes working together, that might be a good thing!

We had the testimony of 17 of our intelligence agencies attesting to it. That should be enough. How they know this is through intelligence gathering, you know. Trump and his crew may be willing to sell out our intelligence agencies but they are not going to enlighten the Russians as to our gathering capabilities.

      1. Wolfesgang December 12, 2016

And, adding to this: the MI6 (U.K. foreign intelligence service) and the chief of a German security agency confirm that the Russians have been meddling. So it might soon be Trump himself whose views on this will be seen as “laughable” and “ridiculous”.

Donald Trump dismisses the CIA and the daily intelligence briefings. He says he’s too smart to be bothered with the CIA and daily intelligence briefings, just as he says he’s smarter and knows more than the military leadership. He is clearly indicating his lack of interest in America’s long term interests in the world’s leadership in order to secure our survival in a dangerous world and is interested only in his personal enrichment. HIs role is now to be Putin’s handmaiden, or put in the vernacular, Putin’s b**ch.

I am amazed at the media reluctance at investigating and writing about Trump’s Russia deal. We should also remember that Trump’s wives, with the exception of Marla, are from former Soviet Union territories. According a Russian mafia leader in Queens, New York, Melania was one of the high class prostitute in one of his men’s stables. Trump then made a deal to be nice to all Russians if they let him have Melania. The question remains, why is Trump so loyal to Putin? Incidentally, poor Melania has to compete with Ivanka, Trump’s daughters. For the first time in history, we are going to have two first ladies in the Whitehouse.

You’ll get just what you asked for when Trump uses the same Russian hackers to disclose any Republican’s emails, like McCain, whom Trump loathes or Lindsay Graham’s. Only a scumbag like Trump would rig an election. Only scumbags like Trump supporters want to know downplay the gravity of election rigging. Do it and we kick your states to the curb. WE do not need your states. YOU need ours.

        1. dpaano December 12, 2016

If not Trump personally (I don’t think he’s intelligent enough to rig elections), at least we should look at his sidekicks and cronies! Those people are ALL questionable!

          1. Eleanore Whitaker December 14, 2016

Actually, There is a side of Trump the Republicans were too stupid to see. Trump has always had a criminal mind. The problem is we don’t automatically walk up to a stranger and immediately think, “He’s a crook. A liar and a Thief.” Most normal human beings give a stranger or someone we don’t the benefit of the doubt until they prove otherwise by their words or actions.

Trump’s supporters are in for the ride of their life. Already Wall Street is nervous about Trump’s effect on the economy.

Trump has huge investments in oil. For Trump, sucking up to Putin is a way of paying back the huge debt he owes to Russia. That’s why he has NO reservations about setting China up against Russia where oil is concerned. Trump knows that China still relies heavily on oil. That’s why Trump chose that oil billionaire to head the Dept. Of Energy.

The big problem for the Big Oil blowhards in the US is that they actually think they will force everyone back on oil. That’s how stupid they are. China will just do what NJ and CA did. Convert to solar if Russia and Trump get too cute with their oil games.

Trump thinks he is the smartest man on earth. He uses money as the IQ. That assumes that because Einstein never made it to billionaire, he is stupid.

All that will happen if the Republicans continue to try to dominate this country is that there will be two coastal unions of states. Then, we will just cut off all of the Republican states from using our roads. Let’s see how well they do then.

        2. David December 13, 2016

Eleanore!!!! Don’t you just love the sound of the words, “President Trump”? Get used to it, DA!

          1. Eleanore Whitaker December 14, 2016

I should think you better get used to the sound of the words “Conflict of Interest” and “TREASON.” Your boy will be lucky to take his oath of office.

You prove what you Texan men are: Scumbags who pretend to be holy innocents and the minute the rest of the states turn our backs, you are out for blood.

Your oil industry is not going to be Trump’s private little piggy bank.

You are a very very very stupid man. You blowhards really think you can just lay down laws for the Dem states and we will meekly obey? Don’t bitch when TX goes down like OK, another oil state is when Dem states pull away from the union rather than constantly have your hicks in Republican states living off our hard earned incomes. You want it? YOu got it buster.

You will NOT FORCE your cowboy hick will on me or any other American who was raised to know right from wrong. Don’t you dare expect me to respect Trump. I refuse. I respected Bush even though I didn’t agree with his policies or his swaggering and phonyass drawling.

Trump is another matter altogether. How do you DARE put a tramp like Melania Trump in the White House when you know she was a Playboy NUDE centerfold? Where the hell is your decency? Or does it only crop up for effect?

Don’t you DARE think you can compare that two bit porn star wife of his to Michelle Obama or Hillary. Don’t you DARE expect anyone to flip a switch and pretend Trump is a bigot, a liar and a thief…just like YOU YOU YOU YOU. Do yourself a favorite asshat. Stop posting. Not one single one of your posts is more than your BS phony cowboy routine.

          2. David December 15, 2016

Eleanore!!!!! Don’t you agree that Melania Trump is a lot easier on the eyes than either of those skanks Michelle Obomo or Hildebeast? It’s about time we had someone good looking as First Lady — like Jackie Kennedy. Can you imagine having to look at Hildebeast for 4 more years? Ugh!

    2. dpaano December 12, 2016

No, Melania may “live” in the White House one of these days, but she’ll NEVER be the First Lady (Ivanka would never allow that to happen). There’s a questionable relationship between Trump and his daughter….we need to investigate that also!

  14. idamag December 12, 2016

John McCain, I am proud of you and wish you were my senator. I have none. When the tape came out of trump bragging about grabbing women’s crotches, Crapo’s first reaction was a civilized response that he could not endorse trump. A few days later, he said the party required him to endorse trump. He is not his own person. This is the second time, you have responded in a civilized way to the hate. The first time was when you told the lady, who under bush could not afford a comb, “No, Maam, he is not.”

John McCain and Lindsey Grahamnesty are never Trumpers and will side with the democrats no matter what. If the Russians really did interfere with the election, Please show us all where, and how it benefitted Trump. There is a far more likely chance that George Soros interfered wit the election in that he owns the company that counts the ballots in 16 states, and is a major Mrs. Clinton supporter. This is just another democrat move to attempt to delegitimize Donald Trump’s election. Blaming everything on the Russians is the new, politically correct, version of calling someone a racist. It actually says more about the lack of cybersecurity by the DNC, the Clinton campaign, and the federal government than anything. The elections were deemed so critical that the department of homeland security took over supervision of them. If the Russians hacked past DHS, then we need to be looking at the DHS cybersecurity as well. What this shows is the extreme likelihood that Mrs. Clinton’s emails were hacked by many bad guys, with Al Qaeda and Iran being several of them, that caused the deaths of 5 Americans with her lack of caring about American security. Her state department had the worst record of security of any government agency.

You can be as dubious as you like. But, that election rigging has Trump’s name written ALL over it. First, you heard Trump himself indicate how he wanted to make nicey nice to Putin. You would have to be a world class moron not to know what you don’t hear from Trump is what he doesn’t WANT anyone to hear.

First of all, You are a LIAR. Your right wing middle aged Twerpie Generation BS isn’t cutting it with those of us who know our Constitutional rights. George Soros NEVER spent $995 million in donations to the DNC. But your boys Charles and David Koch Did. George Soros NEVER handed the DNC $100 million for Hillary’s Campaign asshat. But, the FEC found Trump had over 121 campaign donation violations, some that exceeded the Dollar amount for donations allowed and others because they were anonymous. You can sit there on your dumb fat Tush all day but you will not change what 17 independent intelligence agencies have already. You are one sick SOB if you think WE will allow Trump to rig our election. As for the Russians hacking the DNC emails, 17 intelligence agencies all found the same thing. They hacked into these emails ONLY so they could alter votes and delete them. Don’t you stupid jerks EVER shut your asshat mouths? Every voting machine is computerized and as such tied to mainframe computers that produce Election Night results. All your stupid jerk Trump had to do was get a few thousand votes delete, not counted or altered and he got what he wanted.

Who in the blue frig would vote for a man like Trump? Only a sick SOB like you.

      1. Todd Nelson December 12, 2016

It must be nice to live in a liberal world where reality is just an option. How is that hacking emails equates with vote rigging?? You might want to check about your voting machine claim. The governments of Wisconsin and Pennsylvania do not have their voting machines connected to the internet and Michigan uses only paper ballots, which is why it took so long to verify the original votes. This whole story is a case of fake news as the RNC was never hacked do to better cybersecurity than the DNC.
By the way, I knew you had nothing to contribute because only those who have no good argument are the ones to use name calling, especially at the beginning of an argument. So like I said, previously, take off your tin foil hat.

        1. Eleanore Whitaker December 12, 2016

Nice try moron. How is hacking emails equated to vote rigging? It isn’t. It is equated to how the votes are TALLIED. All electronic voting machines are connected. If hackers can hack into the system that controls the votes being tallied, they can delete or alter the votes.

You better hope this rigging doesn’t try Trump to the Russian hackers. As I stated, 17 intelligence agencies worldwide have the proof. Only a moron like you wants to play innocent little lamb.

Trump bribed the RNC with a $100 million campaign donation to his own campaign. The RNC knew he would NEVER win the popular vote and HE DIDN’T MORON he lost by over 2 million votes. Their ONLY OPTION MORON was to manipulate the Electoral College votes. If it comes out and it ALWAYS DOES MORON that the electors in Republican states were in ANY WAY INFLUENCED MORON there goes your little boy games of always having to win.

But now MORON, you better figure out a way to deal with Russia, what with your boy kissing Putin’s butt. There is NO WAY MORON we are going to allow you and your hick states to use the electoral college to win elections. If you can’t play with clean hands, get the hell out of the game.

          1. Todd Nelson December 12, 2016

Eleanor, those radio waves from the electric poles near your house must be totally warping your brain. It is time to get a larger tin foil hat. Your conspiracy theories are really going down very deep rabbit holes. The Russian hacking to benefit Trump is FAKE NEWS, brought to you by the New York Times. Because you live in a world where reality is optional, you believe this bull excrement without any proof. It is hard for me to attempt a real discussion with a person whose IQ is below 65, so I will now refuse to further comment to you.

          2. Eleanore Whitaker December 13, 2016

Those hemorrhoids in your butt must be totally screwing up your brain. As for electric poles, everyone in NJ lives near them moron. These are NOT conspiracies when 17 intelligence agencies have proven the same thing: Trump and his Russians hacked into the DNC emails and some of the RNC emails to rig the election in is favor.

So why did they let a child molester like you out of jail so soon? Got McMommy to pay your bail?

Sorry jerk. The hacking IS real. And when Trump mouths off at the CIA, that isn’t a smart thing to do but like all smartasses like you, Trump doesn’t know when the hell to keep his mouth shut.

You morons all think it’s all fine and dandy to play with our votes? Think again asshat. By the way, that wife of yours, it’s my understanding that she isn’t too happy with your hanging out at the local bar screwing every woman that bothers to look at your ugly mug.

          3. David December 13, 2016

Eleanore!!!! You will soon learn to love saying, “President Trump” over the next eight years. Get used to it DA.

          4. dpaano December 12, 2016

Additionally, the lies fed to Wikileaks by the Russians and anyone else were very questionable and seemed to ONLY benefit Trump. Why didn’t we see any questionable e-mails from Trump or his cronies….I’m sure there were quite a few….but apparently whomever was feeding BS to Wikileaks only wanted to discredit the Democratic candidate!

          5. David December 13, 2016

Eleanore!!!! It’s President Trump to you, DA.

      2. David December 13, 2016

Eleanore!!!! Stupid or liar, which is it?

        1. Eleanore Whitaker December 13, 2016

Nutbag or what? You are the one who lies before you set your cowboy boots out of your bed. Like the one about “Honey I have a headache” when you really have a limp noodle.

Like the one about, “Honey, I am going to my tent revival meeting,” when you are heading for that “little house out on the range.” Give it up moron.

I can prove what I post. You can’t. You want to call your Mitchie the Bitchie a liar when he stood before Congress yesterday and said “The possibility of hacking into our elections is serious.” He’s one of your good ole good ole good ole boys isn’t he? Another phony baloney bag of cow flops.

          1. dpaano December 13, 2016

Eleanore, you need to understand that most of these trolls, like Trump, don’t read a valid newspaper or listen to valid news! They only believe what their leader tells them because they are brainwashed to believe everything he says! It’s pretty sad, and the most we can hope for is that they snap out of it one of these days and realize the degree that they’ve been conned by this guy!

          2. Eleanore Whitaker December 13, 2016

Guys like Exclamation Points are nuttier than fruitcakes. But, they do spew lies and distortions of facts. That’s “how” we ended up with Trump. Lies and distortions by Koch inspired attack dogs of the Republican Party.

But, you would have thoroughly enjoyed watching Mitch McConnell yesterday at his news conference. The guilt was written all over his face and suddenly he had kind words for President Obama and VP Biden went he was the one who wanted on “one term president.” He just might get a NO term president elect.

Prediction: His is in so far over his head with this hacking business, that he will probably find some lame excuse to resign. That job Trump gave Elaine Chu, Mitch’s billionaire wife was payback for Mitch McConnell keeping his trap shut back in October when he first realized the Russians were hacking to manipulate the election. He led the Republicans, one of whom now says, Mitch and his boys said, “Let’s not disturb the process.” Which means he knew full well there was a hacking and did NOTHING.

Watch for McConnell to resign. Not that he still won’ t be in heap of trouble on any level he chooses.

          3. David December 13, 2016

Eleanore!!!! Won’t you enjoy calling Donald Trump “Mr. President” for the next eight years? You are a DA.

          4. David December 13, 2016

And you are a worthless liar. Right Madam “attorney”?

          5. David December 13, 2016

Eleanore!!!! You can “prove what you post”? Ha ha. Like you “proved” that Texas wasn’t once a separate country? Like you proved McVeigh “was from” Oklahoma? Like you “proved” that your high school education is so tremendous? Answer the question, are you stupid or a liar?

          6. Eleanore Whitaker December 13, 2016

Yes..I can prove what I posted. YOu asked for this blowhard. Show me how much the government of your TEXAS as a separate country had in its separate treasury.

Texas was sold to the US by Mexico. It was not a COUNTRY…it was known from 1836 to 1845 as the Republic of Texas. It did not and was not a country, nor was it ever recognized by the outside world as such. So for 9 years you Texans actually Had NO country.

But you what? Do us all a big favor and save us billions and get the hell out of the US. Who needs oil suckers always polluting the planet and costing taxpayers tens of billions EVERY year for your oil spills and fines.

By the way, the Bureau of Labor statistics gave your screwed up “country” one other distinction. Every year there are 39 deaths at oil and gas extraction facilities in TEXAS. ALL DUE to “cost cutting.” So..your states is a puked up oil mess that kills 39 workers every year. Go check the Bureau of Labor Statistics like I did asshat and then get your dust bowl state with the oil pollution and electric storms to SECEDE. You won’t be missed.

          7. David December 13, 2016

Eleanore!!!! I think you may have answered my question with this post. Clearly, you apparently forgot to attend your high school history classes. “Republic”. Hmm…that doesn’t mean a State and it doesn’t mean province. The Republic of Texas was a country until joined the US in 1845. It had two Presidents and minted its own currency. Did New Joisey do that? In answer to your incredibly stupid question, the Republic of Texas had $10,078,703.21 in bonds and paper money at the time it was admitted into the US. tshaonline.org
I thought you might be a liar, but obviously you are quite mentally challenged.
“Tech writer”? Ha! You mean that you typed the material given to you by the engineers hired to address the issues.
I find you to be a vile, vicious simpleton. By the way, with the cold weather hitting you Northerners right now, aren’t you glad you have our fossil fuels to warm your backsides? Anyway, based on what you wrote, you will be a DA from now on. You can guess what DA means can’t you Dumb A..?

          8. Eleanore Whitaker December 14, 2016

Sorry Troll boy. In my history classes at St. Cecelia’s Elementary School in Iselin, NJ, I was taught by PhD Dominican nuns. You? Your schools teach that the south won the Civil War.

You bet I’m a tech writer. I’ve written several papers on HCFCs, Arsenic in NC water, Greensand Marl and biofiltration. Do yourself a favor moron. Get a life.

Day after day you troll and try to degrade me without success. Everyone knows who I am. You don’t but who the hell expects a dipshit like you in a dust bowl state with constant electric storms from your heavily oil skies to know anything but losers like Sam Houston and your Alamo losers.

By the way, jackass. The NY Giants beat hell out of your Cowboys and I loved watching your little hicks and those jiggly butt cheerleaders wailing like their pussies were grabbed by Trump.

    2. I Am Helpy December 12, 2016

      Oh no, not George Soros!!!1!

Trump owes that guy hundreds of millions of dollars.

      I hope that helps!

    3. dpaano December 12, 2016

I’m surprised at your comments. If you had a brain in your head and were a REAL American, you’d be concerned and want to see what an investigation of this nature comes up with! To willy nilly blame it on Hillary, the Democrats, Soros, etc., is ridiculous and childish on your part! I don’t care WHO it benefited, I want to know if it happened, and so should you!

      1. White Rose December 13, 2016

If YOU have a brain you would know it did not happen!
Because there was no reason for it to happen!
There are things you don’t need to do to know what is going on.
This is one of them. Just look and grin. Open book of fallacies.

        1. dpaano December 13, 2016

Okay, so you’re smarter than the CIA, the NSA, etc? That’s interesting…..much like Trump, you think you’re smarter than years and years of intelligence and years and years of experience by intelligence operatives. As for not needing to know what’s going on…..I certainly can agree that we don’t need to know EVERYTHING that’s going on, but we DO need to know if the Russians were tinkering with our Democratic procedures. Despite your ignorant comment that “there was no reason for it to happen,” there was PLENTY of reasons for the Russian government to manipulate our elections…..you need to get a brain yourself because you are so ignorant of our political process.

        2. I Am Helpy December 17, 2016

17 different intelligence agencies in the US – that’s all of them – think that you’re wrong.

    4. I Am Helpy December 12, 2016

Also, you’re wrong about … well, everything. There’s zero evidence that Clinton’s email server was ever hacked; it was clearly more secure than the ancient State Dept. server it supplemented (and only existed because Republicans refused to pay for an upgrade). The Benghazi!!1! attacks were dwarfed by the security lapses during the Bush administration, and were entirely due to Republicans refusing to pay for security upgrades. Clinton warned them about this, and told them they were endangering Americans by withholding money – they still refused. Fun fact: every single Republican on the original Benghazi panel voted to refuse an increase in State’s security budget.

      You are mendaciously wrong.

      1. InformedVoter December 13, 2016

Hey HELLpy, the Pathetic Dummy and proven to be a big LIAR,
You are, once more, WRONG. HilLIAR’s server was supplied on the recommendation of a friend. it was old technology, and even more obsolete was the software.
YES, HilLIARy’s server was hacked. The emails contained on her server were the one’s that caused Deb W-S to resign (I know you still claim she didn’t resign over the leaked emails). Additional leaked emails, from HilLIARy’s server, showed that HilLIARy paid the media to publish fake polling results (once more you incorrectly claimed the was not true).
So, you still say Deb didn’t resign and that HilLIARy didn’t pay for fake polls. Ha, Ha, your low information tag serves you well.

        1. I Am Helpy December 13, 2016

So still no quote, huh. I guess that’s because your claims were dumb lies.

  16. dpaano December 12, 2016

It’s funny that Trump is so vehemently denying Russian intervention in the election….is this because he KNOWS this to be true? Methinks he protesteth too much! If he thought that he won fair and square, you’d think he’d be on board with this investigation for the safety of this nation. Makes me wonder what else he’s hiding besides his income tax returns! Every time he disagrees with something, it makes me wonder why. At least some of the Republican congressmen/women seem to disagree with him, and that gives me SOME hope that some of his nominations will NOT make it through the vetting process!!!

Nice try. We don’t read fake news. Fly your flag of ignorance elsewhere.

        1. InformedVoter December 13, 2016

And you lefties wonder why you’re so low information. All you read is CNN and MSNBC, and then when you enter into a discussion, you immediately get shot down because all the information you have is generally false and certainly coming from small minds like Rachel Madcow!
You thought you made a clever post, but all you did was re-enforce your standing as a low information, ill-equipped to discuss person. Typical for lefties like you.

          1. roguerunners December 13, 2016

Nope. I am an Independent. Read news from all sources I can get my hands on, however not FOX News. I have found that their news (if you want to call it that) is radically skewed to the far right and a lot of misleading and frankly just made up junk. I happen to know many people like you who take it all as gospel. So talk about ill informed all you want. I happen to think you are the one who is ill informed. And by the way, you can find a plethora of “racist bigots” as you like to call others, right there on FOX not news.

          2. InformedVoter December 14, 2016

The reason I referred to dpaano as a racist and bigot is because she refers to well-educated black males as “boy”. Using racial slurs to TOTALLY unacceptable!

I don’t watch FOX news. I generally view MSNBC to acquaint myself with the latest lies the left is trying to sell.

Regarding low information lefties like you, I bet you believed the fake polls that HilLIARy paid the MSM to publish. These fake polls showed HilLIARy with insurmountable leads. They did this to discourage voters from actually voting for Trump.

I, despite being mocked and chided by folks like you, kept posting that the REAL polls showed Trump with a lead. Yet you guys kept up your name-calling and kept saying my moniker should be changed (like you have).

So, it would seem that I was the one who was truly informed. You guys got duped because of your low information attitude.

Racist bigots on FOX, I wouldn’t think so. I suspect that because you and your lefty crowd are so close-minded and low information, that you have to resort to name-calling because you don’t have the information to conduct a conversation.

You lefties claim your side is the one of tolerance and open-minded, yet if someone disagrees, you immediately go into a tizzy and start name-calling. You use bully tactics and harassment as your tools. Why? Because you are LOW INFORMATION!

          3. roguerunners December 14, 2016

Um…I don’t recall any name calling on my part. And just re-read dpaano’s post and don’t see where she name called. The only reason I replied to your comment was because of your name calling. You are the one who went into a tizzy, stooping to baseless name calling. I realize now however that it was a big waste of time as you seem to me to be the one who is “close-minded”. So, have fun with that. 🙂

          4. InformedVoter December 14, 2016

So you don’t recall calling the folks at FOX racist bigot? Typical for the low information crowd.
It was last summer, before the election. I called her out on it and she defended her post and use of racial slur.
Thus, whenever I send dpaano a post, I begin it with the same type of respect that the MSM uses when addressing President Trump.
I certainly did NOT go into a tizzy. You also used the phrase “flag of ignorance”. So I used that as the opportunity to inform you of the fact that I was the informed one when it came to the polls. And this is not the first time I shamed you low information sheeples.
You lefties think you’re open-minded, but just the opposite is true. Why else does your side resort to name-calling when someone does not agree with your point of view? You can’t handle the truth.
If you wish to upset a conservative, tell them a lie (like you do). If you wish to upset a liberal, tell them the truth (like I do).

          5. roguerunners December 14, 2016

No. You can live in your world of make believe for all I care. Not in the least bit upset and never lied to you or suggested you should change your name. Did tell you where you could find your racist bigots. So why don’t you? 🙂

          6. InformedVoter December 15, 2016

So calling a group of people “racist bigots” is not name-calling? And you wonder why you have been labeled as the low information crowd.
Me live in a make believe world, not hardly. I’m the one who kept saying the polls were fake and paid for by HiLIARy and you and your low information clutch kept saying I was living in a make believe world and the HilLIARy would win in a landslide.
So how did your real world work out for you?
Guess what? HilLIARy lost! That’s real world!

          7. roguerunners December 16, 2016

Really? Secretary Clinton paid for fake polls? Where is your proof on that? You see, I love fact checking and can not find anything about that. Please advise oh wise one. 🙂 As for real world, I honestly hope all the faith you have in President elect Trump proves to be right for all of our sakes. I’m relieved that he has dialed back some of the extreme promises he made on his campaign trail. Gives me a little hope…
I’ll be looking for your sources on that paying for fake polls thing. Please help to inform me, the ill informed.

          8. roguerunners December 16, 2016

That was fun! Read your fake report and ran it through snopes and whalah! NOT TRUE. Check it out for yourself. Don’t think you are going to like it. While you’re there be sure to check out all the other false claims made by many so they can control the masses. 🙂

          9. InformedVoter December 17, 2016

You and your low information crowd are so predictable. Politifact, fackcheck, snopes and other “fact check” sites, are funded by George Soros. They’re accuracy rate is just over 50% with the error on the side of the left to be 80% of the time.
You can believe their lies and remain low information.
Just ask yourself “how could ALL those polls that predicted the HiLIARy would win and possible in a landslide” be so wrong?
I posted polls that showed President Trump leading in the swing states. Your fellow low information posters said to check out snopes etc that claimed the polls I listed were lying.
So if you wish to continue to rely on HilLIAR’ys paid fact checker sites, then go right ahead.
Spoiler Alert: when the election was held, SHE LOST and by a mandate!

          10. roguerunners December 17, 2016

There you go, getting all wrapped up in a tight little tizzy ball of hate and intolerance. Name calling, disrespecting our former Secretary. Why do you come to this thread and upset yourself so? Can anything make you happy? Your guy won. Go forth and rejoice. 🙂

          11. InformedVoter December 18, 2016

I’m getting all wrapped up in a tight little tizzy …? Am I the one out protesting and looting and burning? Am I running around shouting HilLIARy should have won because CA gave her a 3.5 million vote advantage, but the rest of the nation gave President Trump a 1.5 million vote advantage?
Disrespect HilLIARy, like you and the MSM aren’t disrespecting President Trump and anyone who voted for him?
During the time leading up to the election, I kept posting that the polls were faked to discourage Trump supporters. I provided links and sites proving that Trump was actually in the lead. And what did you tolerant, open-minded, progressive’s do? You got all over my case and some of your crowd used racial slurs (jmprint and dpaano). Others out and out swore at me.
All the while, except for the racial slurs, I’ve kept my cool and refrained from name-calling unless the poster chose to go that route.
And now your crowd is going after the EC and threatening to kill or injure them if they don’t change their vote from Trump.
So tell me again why I shouldn’t defend President Trump.
You should be out there condemning your fellow lefties for preaching and practicing violence.

          12. roguerunners December 18, 2016

            Yawn

          13. InformedVoter December 19, 2016

So are you going to join Moore in his January 21 protest?
You’re just in meltdown mode and in self-denial about you getting jerked around by the MSM who made you think HilLIARy actually had a chance.
Just look at the MANDATE! America will be great again!

          14. roguerunners December 19, 2016

This has become terribly tedious. Obviously you love to argue, or is it that you are starving for justification in your life and are seeking it here. In each of your posts you thump your chest with claims of knowing Trump would win the election. Everyone here has read it at least 10 times. What are you after? Want us all to throw you a party? Give you a metal? What? You are aware that a high percentage of posters here on NM have you blocked and don’t even see your posts any longer aren’t you? Is it the incessant chest thumping or the childish name calling and disrespect of our President, former Secretary and frankly anyone who is Liberal leaning or just disagrees with you? Either way, your approach to whatever you are trying to accomplish here is getting you nowhere.
Finally, to point out again, registered Independent so the candidates we chose from has gone to who I find will represent my best interests. Throughout my voting past I have voted Democrat, Republican and even Green. (when I was green haha). My choice was Clinton. She lost Trump won and I hope like all get out that what I fear about Trump as the leader of our Great Country is wrong. Don’t have cable and really don’t watch much TV. Read a lot. Oh, and I am a happy being. No meltdowns here. 🙂 Really am bored of this back and forth accomplishing nothing and frankly find your negative, repetitive posts annoying now so, if you’ll excuse me I have better things to do…

          15. InformedVoter December 19, 2016

Hey “genius”, the word is “medal” not “metal”.

And you can claim I’m blocked, but I know better because of all the responses, both positive and negative, that are made in these forums.

You began this forum with a request for proof, which was provided. However, you fell victim to the brainwashing from the left and thus started the negative dialog – yes started by you.
            Have a nice cry.

          16. I Am Helpy December 17, 2016

How come you – a guy who fell for a hoax that even a child wouldn’t have believed – think you’re in a position to call other people low information?

          17. InformedVoter December 18, 2016

OK, I’ll bite. Social-psychologist have started to refer to the left-leaning voters, who rely mainly on the heavily biased information presented by MSNBC, CNN, AMC, etc. as the low information audience.
These sources have been proven to be extremely low in factual content and highly questionable content.
Thus, when one relies on these sources, like many who make uneducated posts, they are part of the low information crowd.

Many in these forums post lies, and just repeat what they thought someone said and yet keep acting like the truth has just been told!

Glad I could clear that up for you.

          18. I Am Helpy December 18, 2016

            So STILL no quote, huh.

      2. I Am Helpy December 17, 2016

^ reminder: this guy fell for an obviously photoshopped hoax.

    2. White Rose December 13, 2016

The Russians don’t need to go through all that trouble to know what is going on.
You are an open book of binary sillyness to them. Barely bearable intellectually.

They just want you to stop harassing the world with your war and fear mongering and so does the rest of this world who wants rest from your dangerous fantasy paranoïd delirium.
Keep your “freedom” of lies to yourselves.
Any POTUS has been a puppet since JFK.
Will Donald cross the red line and be terminated by you don’t know who, Edgar being dead by now!? Guess!

      1. dpaano December 13, 2016

Who are you calling “your?” Not sure what you mean.

        1. Wolfesgang December 13, 2016

Don’t mind, that guy is probably a Putin troll.

        2. yabbed December 13, 2016

White Rose is clearly not an American so ignore him.

      2. roguerunners December 13, 2016

I see you know how to cut and paste. Very Good! Run along and play now.

      3. I Am Helpy December 17, 2016

Appease the dictator by doing everything he wants. Got it, Neville.

  17. yabbed December 13, 2016

There is a video of a smirking Putin who commented that Donald Trump liked the beautiful Russian women. Actually, what Trump appears to like are very young Slavic women. I suspect Putin, the KBG chief, has some incriminating video of Donald Trump engaging with beautiful young Russian women while in Russia seeking business opportunities. We know Donald owes the Russian billionaire oligarch pals of Putin big, big bucks but I could well be that he is being blackmailed to appoint Tillson and to follow other Kremlin orders. We will one day find out.
