As John Oliver informs us in the latest edition of Last Week Tonight, some patriotic Americans are so disturbed by Donald Trump’s presidency that they literally cannot rest until he is impeached. That was why family members recently told two men on their deathbeds that impeachment had begun — thus allowing them to pass away peacefully.

Well, what about the rest of us? While we wait for House Democrats to get their act together, Oliver wants to make sure that everyone actually understands what impeachment means and how the process works. He begins with a hilarious definition of “high crimes and misdemeanors” (a term that Trump clearly doesn’t comprehend, as revealed in a typically insane video clip).

Oliver briskly debunks the political arguments against impeachment, too.
