The GOP’s jerry-rigged pathetic “child” called Healthcare is DOA—-an abortion being pawned off as viable and functional. Why am I not surprised.

It was a foregone conclusion that my dear knuckle-headed brothers and sisters getting paid handsomely by taxpayers, and called “Conservatives”, would fail utterly in producing anything sensible. The tumor on their brains—let’s call it the “Adam Smith Capitalism Metastasis”–will prevent them from doing anything that is fair and balanced on behalf of ALL ordinary citizens. The GOP has a group mental handicap as a result of this syndrome and tumor, and it won’t go away on its own, unless and until they can wean themselves from a nihilism they call “Fiscal Responsibility”.

Needless to say, Trump favors this abysmal effort, because he and those like him, are already more than adequately covered, and confident that he and the politicians will never have to worry about medical bills.

Better this pooly conceived plan be DOA that our fellow ciizens. One would like to believe that after 7 years they would have come up with something more palatable.

We can take heart, in that even many Republicans hate the new replacement.

See some excerpts from a WaPo article:

The Republican health-care plan’s top critics? Republicans.

Outside the Capitol Tuesday afternoon, conservative legislators lined up to denounce the bill.

“A step in the wrong direction,” said Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah).

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) likened the “flawed bill” to “horse excrement.”

“Let’s not lower the bar on what we believe simply because a Republican is in the White House,” said Rep. Mark Sanford (R-S.C.).

Rep. Thomas Garrett (R-Va.) complained that the bill was drafted “in a cloak of secrecy” and blessed a “new entitlement.”

“Obviously,” deduced Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.), “we have some serious concerns.”

The sales effort so far has been wanting. Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah), defending the legislation on CNN on Tuesday, suggested that Americans, “rather than getting that new iPhone that they just love and they want to spend hundreds of dollars on that, maybe they should invest in their own health care.”

The authors of the legislation, Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady (R-Tex.) and Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Greg Walden (R-Ore.), didn’t do much better. They paraded their 123-page bill before the cameras Tuesday morning with a sign pasted on it: “Read the Bill.”

Democrats say the GOP plan would cause at least 11 million to lose health coverage, cause premium, co-pay and deductible increases, deplete the Medicare trust fund, and amount to a huge transfer of wealth to the richest. They are getting a bit of support from a group of four relatively moderate Senate Republicans who have already demanded protections for those covered by Obamacare’s Medicaid expansion.

It looks like the republicans in office have forgotten, if they ever knew, what the people outside the beltway life’s are like.

I always like to see republicans fighting, but fighting about how many should die is pretty sad

But that’s the norm for the GOP. Even when told that legislation they’re voting on will end up with people dying – that doesn’t phase them. They still go ahead and basically think that – it’s only the peons. Even when most of the peoons are people who voted them into office.

Unfortunately, the split in the GOP over this Bill is for the wrong reasons. Those that oppose this dismal replacement to the ACA are doing it because they believe the U.S. government should not be involved in social programs such as this. Only social programs such as subsidies to wealthy farmers like Michelle Bachmann, and other such endeavors.

Here is the new GOP health care plan in a nutshell:
    1. You don’t have to buy insurance anymore.
    2. If you decide to buy insurance again, you will have to pay a fine.
    3. We are cutting the subsidies for those who need them most – the poor, the aged (see item 5), etc.
    4. We are taking the cut in subsidies to provide more tax breaks for people who don’t need it.
    5. If you are over 60, we will allow the insurance companies to charge you 5 times more than they charge someone age 25.
    6. We will cut the Medicaid subsidy to the states to ensure that item 3 is hit even harder!
    7. Oh, yeah, to make you think things are still good, you cannot be turned away for preexisting conditions, they cannot impose lifetime caps and kids under 26 can still live in their parents’ basements and use their insurance. We are heartless, not stupid! Killing these would guarantee we would lose our elections.

So, the best phrase to sum this whole thing up is – Get sick and die already.

You can’t be turned away for a preexisting condition, but can you be charged over the top rates?

Isn’t it nice that insurance companies can now deduct executive salaries above 500K?

So, if it was you and the choice was between going to an emergency room who MUST treat you and paying the fine for not having insurance, what would you do?

They sure were clear that lottery winners couldn’t get help. Like, how big of a problem is that to occupy so much space in the new bill?

Trumps’ penchant for rushing bills through just so he can point to himself and says, “See, I did it and in record time!” is not the way to fashion a bill on healthcare for this country. (NOTE: The rush on the raid to Yemen after only 6 days in office, the rush on the immigration ban.) Everyone needs to remember Trump has the attention span of a gnat, does not bother to educate himself on issues, and loves playing the emperor. This is what brought him to bankruptcy 6 times, including one near-miss of personal bankruptcy in the 90’s. His off-the-cuff changes to his projects is what brought them to an over-budget situation. Just as he did with his Washington hotel that is now embroiled in a lawsuit because he didn’t pay the nearly $2M overage due the contractor. He is NOT a deep thinker by any means. We can always hope that there are enough reasonable-minded people in Congress to push back against this bill. Lord knows, the likes of Ryan and McConnell are so far gone up the ##s of Trump that we cannot depend on them.

So 45 wants this bill passed Post Haste. I know why he does, he just needs to have his crappy replacement of the ACA dubbed Trumpcare. I guarantee that if it ever gets implemented it’ll go the way of Trump U, Trump Vodka, Trump Steaks or anything else with that horrendous name attached to it. Ironically it’s the GOP conservatives that’ll likely block his version of Obamacare Lite moving forward

Didn’t it pass the House Committee early this morning?

I’m all for calling it TrumpCare. Particularly when it doesn’t care for anyone beyond Health Care CEOs.

Some pundits are already dubbing it TrumpDeathCare ????
Assuming that it does come to a full vote before the House and Senate I know there are many Republicans deeply opposed to it. A lot of them have been hearing from their constituents pleading for them not to repeal or replace the ACA including Trump voters. Will they vote the right way or listen to Trump who’s popularity is sinking faster than the Titanic ?

If they dare not give me a quick easy victory, so i don’t have to think about this anymore, then yes why let 8 years of sabotaging the ACA go to waste, so we can blame democrats, the republicans have always planned on the same thing.

He met with far right A holes today who told him they wanted medicaid to end in 2018 not 2020. He said sure whatever, he’d sign that. The fact he promised not to cut that program never entered his pea brain, because he knows his followers don’t care if he lies everyday

its too and so easy a fix simple maybe that’s why the GOP gang of pinheads cant understand it >>whats wrong with people in office these days mainly the GOP & DONNY DUMP thy all want to take money from plaves that need it for the people of the country . and then thy want to turn around and give more money back in tax breaks and or what ever to the rich greedy ones that don’t even need the money . if be it one really wanted to balance the country out ( its all there ) all the money that is needed and all it would take is something simple and fair . just make every one (EVERY ONE THE SAME TO BE FAIR TO ALL ) PAYS THE SAME OF A % PERCENTAGE % IN TAXES no more no less just the same all around . if this was to be the USA would be out of problems in no time . and after out of trouble it would only be making the USA better and better . its WE THE PEOPLE all of us are the same and with that do and pay the same . problem solved & fixed.. too easy for the GOP
