Fox News Promotes Lies About Lafayette Park Assault

Fox News is defending and cheering on President Donald Trump after he had peaceful protesters outside the White House cleared with tear gas so that he could hold a photo-op on Monday, with some network personalities blaming the protesters themselves and offering nonsensical semantic quibbles over whether gas that caused tears was actually tear gas.

There is no line the network will not cross and no limit whatsoever on Fox's willingness to serve as eager propagandists for the president.

Watching Boss Trump's authoritarian street theater in front of St. John's Episcopal Church in Washington, I had three related thoughts: first that things are going to get a lot worse before they get better.

Chaos is Trump's only talent. Empowered by false bravado and Daddy's (and/or Russian Mob) money, Trump blunders into something he does not and cannot understand—the casino business, airlines, professional football, now the US government. He listens to nobody, makes one foolhardy blunder after another, bankrupts or otherwise destroys the enterprise, betrays everyone who trusted him, and blames everybody but himself for the disaster.

Kellyanne Says Church Photo Op Wasn’t A Photo Op

White House counselor Kellyanne Conway insisted Tuesday that Donald Trump's photo-op in front of St. John's Episcopal Church in Lafayette Square the day before was not actually a photo-op.

On Monday, military police fired tear gas into a crowd of peaceful protesters, including clergy members, to clear a path for Trump to walk from the White House to the nearby church.
