When Trump Goes Low, Media Can Go Away

seditious libel, Trump, Media

Dog trainers have long advised owners against reacting to their pets’ attention-seeking antics — the barking, jumping and pushiness.

“Dog owners often inadvertently reinforce (reward) these behaviors by interacting with the dog,” writes veterinary behaviorist Lisa Radosta. “Any attention can be regarded as a reward, even yelling.”

Similar advice is doled to parents of whining, tantrum-throwing toddlers. Many in the media could use it, as well. All that sputtering over Donald Trump’s personal taunts and stupid tweets is exactly what the president-elect seeks. Turn away. Turn away.

If Trump won’t take questions from serious journalists at a news conference, it’s not a news conference. Reporters are merely playing “straight man” on a reality TV show — complete with paid hecklers and promotions for Trump properties. They don’t have to be there.

Their job is to cover what Trump does, which includes his appointments and ties to foreign adversaries. If Trump publicly insults U.S. or foreign leaders, that’s still news. If he insults newspeople, so what?

But voices of high-minded journalism continue to pump up Trump as some all-powerful controller of American freedom of expression. For example, Leonard Downie Jr., former executive editor of The Washington Post, writes that Trump’s attacks pose “a deep danger for legitimate, aggressive journalism.”

They do no such thing. Trump has no control over what the professional media or anyone else says about him.

Perhaps the media should alter their own traditions in accordance with the changing times. They don’t have to obsess over every dumb thing the president-elect says, especially because his saying dumb things is no longer news.

Better to start puncturing Trump’s self-inflated titan-of-business balloon. The conservative Wall Street Journal made a fine start in reporting that Trump owed financial institutions $1.5 billion more than he listed on his disclosure forms. And it has thrown cold water on Trump’s claim to economic genius, with such headlines as “The Market Has Already Started to Dump Trump.”

Big media can stop playing defense against a man whose approval ratings are probing the earth’s core. It was a nice gesture for Fox News to defend CNN after the recent “news conference” — as CNN had done for Fox in the past. But there’s no need for a journalistic mutual defense pact. (Disclosure: I write occasional opinion pieces for CNN.)

When BuzzFeed posted the unverified stories of salacious conduct by Trump, Trump tried to blame CNN for their release. CNN explained that it did not air the nasty material, which was appended to an intelligence report on Russian interference in the recent election. CNN didn’t even link to it. It just noted its existence.

Well done, but CNN and other members of the respectable media went overboard in scolding BuzzFeed for going public with the scandalous two pages. In the digital era, the only gates a news outlet can keep are its own.

The report had been floating around Washington. If BuzzFeed hadn’t posted it, someone else would have. And if the dirty innuendo had centered on Hillary Clinton, Breitbart would have put it up in half a heartbeat.

The threat to throw reporters out of the White House press office is a recent effort to move the spotlight from Trump’s sinking currency to a thin-skinned press corps. “I want ’em out of the building,” a tough (but not tough enough to be identified) Trump official told Esquire. “We are taking back the press room.”

Well, they can have it. The reporters should be out uncovering the seediness rather than responding to Trump’s latest provocation. They are entering a golden age for American journalism and should know it.

In addition to being a master showman, and knowing how to use the media to remain on the spotlight, he is also inclined to either punish them or reward them dependent on how they behave. If they are good puppies, they get a treat, if they misbehave they get a kick in the butt. Welcome to Trumplandia, a modern day Nirvana where laudable attributes become liabilities; and arrogance, narcissism, immaturity, misogyny, vulgarity, and vindictiveness are regarded as manifestations of statesmanship or, as some put it, demonstrations of outstanding negotiating skills. Pay for play has a new meaning when it comes to The Donald.

    1. mike January 17, 2017

You’re a hypocrite. Obama never tried to throw FOX out of the press pool, right?
Obama didn’t try to de-legitimize FOX because it had differing opinions from his. Is that correct?
      Bravo Sierra

      1. Eleanore Whitaker January 17, 2017

No he didn’t. Get the court documents or government documents to prove it you lying Trump moron.

Get over it. Obama isn’t president and he had the most successful 8 years even with bastards like you bitching and whining about having to pay for your own healthcare and actually pay your fair share of taxes. Go fly your goddamn Stars and Bars CONman.

        1. mike January 17, 2017

          Keep trying old girl.
Wrong again. Can’t dispute their emails.
Deputy White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest bluntly described the White House’s position on Fox News Channel in an October 23, 2009, email to LeCompte:
“We’ve demonstrated our willingness and ability to exclude Fox News from significant interviews…”

According to The New York Times: “Fox’s television news competitors refused to go along with a Treasury Department effort on Thursday [October 22, 2009] to exclude Fox from a round of interviews with the executive-pay czar Kenneth R. Feinberg that was to be conducted with a ‘pool’ camera crew…”. Fox News Channel’s James Rosen reported this backlash forced the Obama administration to reconsider its position on the matter: “The Washington bureau chiefs of the five TV news network consulted and decided that none of them would interview Feinberg unless Fox was included, and the administration relented…,” reported Rosen. Ultimately, after other media representatives objected, Fox News Channel was allowed to participate in the interviews.

However, despite this public position, internal Obama administration emails obtained by Judicial Watch provide evidence that FNC was specifically singled out for exclusion.
According to one October 22, 2009, email exchange between Dag Vega, Director of Broadcast Media on the White House staff, to Jenni LeCompte, then-Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs in the Treasury Department, Vega informs LeCompte that “…we’d prefer if you skip Fox please.”

Last post for you. The rest of the world knows what you idiots don’t!!

The BBC is really doing a great job of making a farce out of Donald’s inauguration. They’ve spotlighted him exactly. You really shouldn’t miss it; they’ve dubbed his inauguration as a sci-fi spectacular. Isn’t that what you guys have been looking for?

          2. mike January 17, 2017

            “Last post for me”? Funny.
            “dailykos” really!
            Still acting stupidly.

          3. Independent1 January 17, 2017

BBC, BBC,BBC,BBC one of the most trusted international news organization on the planet turns Trump’s inauguration into the farce it is. An idiot not qualified to run a garbage dump being sworn in as president of the U.S.????

          4. mike January 17, 2017

No matter how in a lather you get over Trump he still will be the 45th president.
The quicker Obama is gone the better this country will be. Especially after he commutes Manning’s prison sentence. Manning leaked classified Military and Diplomatic files to WikiLeaks that damaged this country, Obama disregard for this country continues. His lack of action against Russia knowing all he knew before and during election just confirms his total disrespect for this country. To commute a traitor just shows the level of his depravity.
            To Obama, Foxtrot Yankee!

          5. Jim Samaras January 17, 2017

I’d love to hear some of these opinions DEFENDING Obamas actions commuting that a$$hats sentence.

          6. mike January 17, 2017

His press conference tomorrow will be quite interesting.
No excuse for what he did. The can of worms he has opened has changed our intelligence forever. When I hear his lawyers say he “didn’t do anything wrong” is ????????

          7. Jim Samaras January 17, 2017

Maybe they’ll have an article on here defending it tomorrow. Can’t wait to hear the ‘logic’…lol

          8. mike January 18, 2017

They won’t! Nothing derogatory to Obama and a transgender.

          9. Dominick Vila January 17, 2017

Did you read the BBC article about Trump’s approval rating in Germany? Four percent!

      2. Eleanore Whitaker January 17, 2017

No one with their rational mental faculties needs to delegitimize FOX News…all anyone has to do is listen to their distortions of what we know we can prove and FOX calls “facts.” You just cannot tell the difference between “news” and “entertainment.” More’s the pity.

        1. mike January 17, 2017

Your problem is you can’t distinguish between the real world and your fantasy world.

Dominick, take a minute and see what the BBC has to say about Trump’s inauguration – essentially a guady sci-fi thriller.

It’s clear the rest of the world knows far more than the brainless right-wingers posting on this blog.

Wah, wah, wah! I’m Teflon Donnie and I demand you report everything that I say except for the things that later on I say that I never said and if you don’t report exactly what I want you to say I will call you “fake news” and scream about you to Brietbart, Fox, Alex Jones, the National Inquirer, the New York Post and the New York Observer! Wah, wah, wah!

    1. Eleanore Whitaker January 17, 2017

That’s where it all went wrong for him and the Republicans. The Republicans got so wound up in corporate bullying that they now believe that is how you function in government. Try telling that to 325+ American citizens who are not employees of the United States of Republicans. Their end is coming fast. They are as guilty as Trump of rigging this election and we don’t plan to allow them to be the last word.

  3. I of John January 17, 2017

The real problem here isn’t whether we’ll tune him out, but what happens after we finally do. The boy that called “wolf” did eventually hearld a dark warning. Where will we be when the real wolf comes?

    1. Mama Bear January 17, 2017

well, we might be part of the USSR by then and not notice (note: this is snark).

      1. Eleanore Whitaker January 17, 2017

It won’t happen. YOu know how we Americans are…we always have to clean up the messes and fix what we know is broken. Trump is not going to be president. He has too much in the way of conflict of interest.

Once you ask the question why it is 44 other presidents had NO trouble disclosing their taxes, who they’d done business with and ONLY TRUMP is refusing…you have the answer to why he knows he dares not disclose his business…We’d all have him strung up by his toupee.

        1. Mama Bear January 17, 2017

my comment was snark, E. I just edited it. Did not mean to raise any blood pressures.

          1. Eleanore Whitaker January 17, 2017

I know MB…Let’s face it…Until peace and tranquility returns to our country, none of us can rest easy. It is exactly as John Lewis said, we cannot sit back when we know we see what is so wrong right in our faces.

          2. Mama Bear January 17, 2017

what kind of man says what Trump said to John Lewis? He could call me everything he could think of and I would still honor him.

          3. Eleanore Whitaker January 17, 2017

Trump in reality is a weenie..Right now, he doesn’t dare leave Trump Tower and he knows why…First off…just to get within 2 miles of his Golden Castle..you’d need a special ID card. Then, even if you are allowed into the sacred Trump Tower streets, you are met with armed guards everywhere as if it was some kind of prison break. You have to present that ID card or you don’t get to shop anywhere in that area near Trump the Hump’s Golden Penthouse.

There are armed miltiary on rooftops and Trump is lapping up all of this attention as if he was God incarnate. ON your tax dollars.

What he said about John Lewis now has 32 elected officials refusing to attend his inauguration. The only reason Hillary is going is because that is her way of flipping the bird at him. He’ll stand thee wiht his hand on a Bible and swear an oath he has NO intentions of abiding by. And she will give him that famous Hillary expression she gave the Gowdy attack dog.

Now that may be true but if so it’s been brewing for some time now. Difference being the right has shown it’s tolerance for years and now it’s the left, famous for tolerance, that is showing they have none. The revolution, if started, will come from you guys. We will be victorious however so be careful with what you start

          10. Independent1 January 18, 2017

            “brewing for some time now”??

You mean -because the longest stretch of positive jobs growth in American history occurred under Obama by more than 3 years?

You mean – because under Obama almost twice as many jobs were created in the past 8 years as were created in 12 years by the last two worthless GOP presidents?

You mean – the fact that under Obama the U.S. became the largest producer of oil in gas on the planet for the 1st time in history?

You mean – the fact that more troublesome illegal aliens have been rounded up and deported than under any two previously worthless GOP presidents in office since Eisenhower?

You mean because under Obama there has been 50 less people killed in America’s overseas office than was the average of 70 or more killed under the last 4 previous presidents? And there have been no mass killings like the 241 Marines under Reagan and the more than 3,000 under Bush 2?

You mean because Obama started a war on fraud when he first took office such that his administration has recovered more taxpayer monies ripped off by fraudsters and brought more crooks to justice than any 2 or 3 worthless GOP presidents combined?

You mean because over a million Americans still have jobs and the auto industry in America is reaping profits it hadn’t made since Clinton was in office and many companies in the auto industry are paying taxes to America instead of some foreign government like would have happened if Romney got
his way and the industry had gone belly up??

Do I need to go on and on with positives from the last 8 years? Exactly what did your idiot comment mean anyway moron?? Because any honest American will tell you that they are far better off today than at any time during either of the last two GOP presidents for sure.

          11. Jim Samaras January 18, 2017

If the American people were as happy as you are with his performance why has the democratic platform been repudiated time and again since the 2010 elections where you’ve lost the house and senate by a very wide margin.

You’re the @sshat that mentioned revolution would be “coming to my door soon”. My comment meant that if it occurs it will be started by d^ckheads like you that are acting like spoiled children and have gone over the top with your intolerance of a DJT presidency.

Again, “if any honest American will tell you that they are far better off today than at any time during either of the last two GOP presidents” HC would be sworn in on Friday to continue his policies but she will not. Get over it and jump on the Trump train chump!

          12. Independent1 January 18, 2017

The Democrat platform hasn’t been repudiated, it’s been stolen by constant corruption from the GOP: 24/7 brainwashing by the right-wing propaganda machine with lies, fantasy conspiracy theories, constant fabrication of reality by gangster minded politicians: gerrymandering in state after state, incessant voter suppression in state after state. The Democrat platform has been usurp by every form of fascism the corrupt/evil right-wing mind can create!!!

          13. Jim Samaras January 18, 2017

Gotta love an angry libtard! It means we’ll have control for many years to come. I don’t know you Indy but I’d bet these tears don’t look good on you. President Trump….has a nice ring to it don’t it?

          14. Independent1 January 18, 2017

          15. dpaano January 20, 2017

I agree….I foresee this country going back into a depression within the first year of Trump’s administration. I’ll also be surprised if he doesn’t start another war, especially between Israel and the Palestinians when he tries to move the Embassy to Palestine. And, I also foresee prices going sky high for our produce because farmers will be forced to go out of business because they can’t find anyone to pick their crops. We’ll end up having to import our produce from Brazil, which is where we already get most of it during our winter season. There’s NO American citizen who is currently jobless who would accept the job of working in the fields and picking crops! Americans are too used to having this done for them by the so-called “illegal” aliens that come across our borders. His plans to round up as many as possible, including children that were brought here in their infancy, is totally ridiculous! Even one of his nominees had to let his “nanny” go because he realized she didn’t have proper paperwork…..poor guy! Also, another nominee who is supposed to head up one of the financial departments just suddenly realized that he had to pay FICA taxes, etc. for his housekeeper…..who knew? His nominees are SO unqualified for the jobs that they’ve been nominated for that it’s also ridiculous! Ben Carson running HUD……seriously! And, what about all the Wall Street guys he’s nominated for his administration….what ever happened to the lie he told his followers that he was going to divest himself of Wall Street types and lobbyists? Do they realize they’ve been conned yet? Probably not….his followers are too brainwashed to see the light. But, once they no longer have affordable healthcare (or any healthcare at all), they might wake up! This illegitimate president will take us down and ruin everything that has been done the past 8 years, good or bad! He’ll get rid of all the really good things and make the bad things even worse!!! This is just my opinion….I’m an optimist, and I’m hoping I’m wrong, but I sincerely doubt we’ll be in as good a place as we were under President Obama! Again, I give it a year before the cow manure hits the rotating blade!

          16. Independent1 January 20, 2017

Great assessment of what’s to come; but I don’t think Trump will even get through the next 100 days. He just has too many conflicts of interest and even law suits pending on him; and there are even clear violations of the Constitution that will have to be addressed fairly quickly. If he’s taken the oath of office, he’s already violated the Emolument Clause of the Constitution which restricts even presidents (through family or business) of having accepted monies from a foreign nation. (Remember when the Trump family coerced the Kuwait government into switching hotels to one owned by Trump in DC?)

          17. dpaano January 20, 2017

And, Jim, despite all of that, Hillary STILL won the popular vote by over 3M votes! Had it not been for the Electoral College, Trump would NOT have been elected president. So, chew on that one for a bit, okay?

Chew on the fact that Trump is president and that what LA, San Diego, SF, NYC and Chicago think has been of little consequence. You people are fools……

          20. Independent1 January 20, 2017

Clearly, you have the wrong avatar: it should be a Swastika or KKK T-shirt!! The outright fascism and white supremacist attitude comes out in all your posts. Sorry that we abhor that!!! Not many of us take to inhuman individuals!!

          21. Jim Samaras January 20, 2017

I have posted no white supremacist views in any of my posts as I’ve never believed race to be an issue. I am not extreme in my right leaning views so your accusation of being a fascist also does not hold a drop of water. It’s time to quit the crying and come together as Americans and see how President Trump governs and stop the negative prognostications until such time as he shows otherwise

          22. Independent1 January 20, 2017

You are who you support and you adamantly support the most racist, bigoted, fascist person who ever ran for president.

          23. LibsRignorant January 20, 2017

          1. Eleanore Whitaker January 17, 2017

No WE didn’t. WE didn’t rig this election. Trump and the Russians did. It doesn’t matter how you try to play Cover UP like the Republicans are doing right now with their little boy spite tactics.

WE didn’t vote for Issa, Cornball Cornyn, Gowdy, Chaffetz, McConnel or that SOB Ryan. You piss off all the wrong people trying to lay blame for CEO crooks like Trump on us.

Now…how about a little help from YOU to pay off those 6 corporate bankrupticies Trump dumped on us in NJ?

You are the one who wants TRump…Pay off his damn debts for him.

          2. The lucky one January 17, 2017

“We” refers to the American people. We have allowed our electoral system to get to the point where we had to choose between two demagogues. Perhaps we chose the greater of two evils but either way we are screwed unless we wake up and act though it may be too late.

          3. Jim Samaras January 17, 2017

“We” did wake up and act! “We”, not the Russians picked Trump to get us back on the right track. Take a page from the Aaron Rodgers playbook and R-E-L-A-X. Obummer is but a distant memory on Friday

          4. The lucky one January 17, 2017

In this case “we” refers to the EC since he lost the popular vote by a wide margin. It’s debatable if we have ever been “on the right track” and certainly not since Reagan started the obscene give away to the rich.

Since Obama will be such a “distant memory” I trust you won’t be blaming him for the ensuing decline under Herr Trump.

          5. Jim Samaras January 17, 2017

You mean like Obama did for the first 7?

          6. The lucky one January 18, 2017

More like the first 2 for Obama. Every president leaves unfinished business and mistakes for the next one to deal with and Obama is no exception. But Obama left nothing close to the quagmire created by Bush/Cheney.

      2. dbtheonly January 17, 2017

          1. dbtheonly January 17, 2017

Mama, I don’t wish to disturb you, but do you have any Idea how close I think humanity is to annihilation? Trump can do it. Trump might do it. Trump might even set it off accidentally.

I was reading a book on global warming & I found myself dismissing all of it as meaningless. Who cares about seal levels in 2050? Humanity may not make it to 2020.

          2. Mama Bear January 17, 2017

To be perfectly honest I feel the same way and have for some time. Not that we will be a Russian colony because I do believe that is inevitable if we survive long enough. The downfall is not some perceived “weakness” but greed and ego. Those two evil allies will destroy us. Ignorance and hate are in that mix too. Best case is a Neo Dark Age, but I agree with you, annihilation is more likely.

My nightmares revolve around a nuclear response to one of the provocations from the DPRK, a shooting incident in or around the South China Sea, or a Russian attack in the Baltic States. In the last, the US President, to our undying shame, may leave our Allies in the lurch. In the former, mere millions dead is a good outcome.

          4. dpaano January 20, 2017

Trump doesn’t appear to be a big NATO fan, although it’s kept us safe and our allies safe for many years now. His level of intelligence when it comes to foreign policy, etc., is ridiculous! He has NO care about how we’re perceived by our allies or how his actions cause problems in the international area. He just says what he feels without doing any background or research and it’s going to get us in serious trouble, I’m afraid!

          5. dbtheonly January 20, 2017

HA’s, Pagans and Outlaws are all about Trump and would defend him to the end if asked but who needs them when there’s big mouth people like you making your ilk look worse than what they really are. There are smart dems but you certainly aren’t in that club are ya?

    3. The lucky one January 17, 2017

Don’t forget that Fox is also part of MSM.

      1. dbtheonly January 17, 2017

I’ll take the other side of that one.

Fox is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Republican Part. Though I may have it backward ant the Republicans are the ones owned.

Either way Fox has no interest in news. It frequently asserts it an Entertainment provider. Fox has sued, successfully, to provide a completely inaccurate story.

Pravda and Fox are not MSM.

        1. The lucky one January 17, 2017

I believe MSM stands for main stream media which IMO includes Fox as disreputable as they are. Fox may be the worst in terms of promoting outright falsehoods but all are guilty of slanting and censoring the news to fit the corporate/establishment agenda.

          1. dbtheonly January 17, 2017

My point exactly. Fox makes only a pretense of being a “news” service. They are the propaganda ministry of Trumpville. As such, they don’t qualify as a MSM news service. Walter Cronkite, Eric Severaid, Mike Wallace, John Chancellor, they were MSM. Fox? Pefh.

          2. The lucky one January 17, 2017

Okay, we mostly agree except I would term fox a news service, just not a reliable one. Ahhh, Walter Cronkite, Eric Severaid, Mike Wallace, John Chancellor also Huntley & Brinkley the heyday of MSM, now sadly long gone.

          3. dbtheonly January 17, 2017

I hate to be pedantic, but once you accept Fox as a news service, you grant them rights and privileges to which they are not entitled.

News services get seats at Presidential news conferences. Should I get you a list of stupid, argumentative questions Fox has put to President Obama?

Reporters have wide latitude to pursue a story. You want to grant Jesse Waters legitimacy?

News services pick up stories from each other. You’d like a list of phoney stories Fox has started? It’s even become a verb, to “O’Keefe”.

          4. The lucky one January 17, 2017

I hear you and am well aware of the sins of Fox “News” but I see the difference between them and the others as a matter of degree rather than category. All the MSM show a decisive pro-corporate viewpoint and fail as much from what they don’t cover as from false or misleading coverage.

In a way the others are more dangerous. Only an idiot believes Fox is a reliable news source but many otherwise intelligent people accept MSNBC, CNN, NY Times, WSJ etc.as reliable and think that if it’s not being covered it is unworthy of coverage.

There is also a failure in all MSM to distinguish between facts, that is reports of events or verbatim spoken words, and their interpretation or opinion.of such.

          5. Jim Samaras January 17, 2017

Those gotcha argumentative type questions he was asked are the same that are asked of Trump today by CNN.

The reason you don’t find Waters entertaining is perhaps it gives you a view of many of the voters that gave HC the polpular vote in three states and should embarrass you. I find it sad that that many people are that clueless to the world around them yet have the ability to cast a vote and don’t….thank God…lol

          6. dbtheonly January 18, 2017

I saw Disgusting Donald refuse to take the question from CNN. As I recall the question was going to be about potential financial conflicts in the Administration. An issue to which, even you must admit, Disgusting Donald has given conflicting answers.

I don’t find Waters entertaining because he is a bully and a coward. His gotcha interviews show the wisdom of preparing for interviews. I’m not sure of your further point.

          7. JPHALL January 17, 2017

You seem to have forgotten the Fox News cable is part of a larger group, 21st Century Fox, which controls several other news and entertainment organizations.

          8. dbtheonly January 18, 2017

They’re both divisions of News Corp, which includes the Wall Street Journal, the NY Daily Post (or is it the News?), something in Australia and the U.K.

            But what’s your point?

We grant Fox a legitimacy they don’t deserve when we call them MSM.

          9. JPHALL January 18, 2017

As I said, do not confuse Fox News cable as standing alone. Most major US cities have a Fox station that shares nothing with Fox cable but the name and owner.

      1. terrysb January 17, 2017

You nailed it idamag! His supporters are still supporting him and they don’t even represent 1/3 of the country’s voters; the Republican legislatures, governors, senators and house members, along with the dubious Supreme Court, have conspired to suppress the votes of minorities especially in the South but also in the rust belt states too. These are states that have the biggest populations on welfare, Medicaid, and food stamps. In other words, to save money for the oligarchs and promote oil exploration, these elected officials use federal taxpayer money to substitute for doing anything to help their constituents.

        1. idamag January 17, 2017

I live in Idaho. It is a red state that takes, from the government, $1.80 for every dollar they pay int taxes. It is a sparsely populated state with vast areas of sage brush and small pockets of uncivilization. The bigger cities do have some liberals, but the gerrymandering has made it so the cows and sagebrush have more representation in government than I do.

          1. terrysb January 17, 2017

I hope we will all be able to stand together against the goals of the Republican Party to demolish our social safety nets of Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, public schools, to demolish the EPA, voting rights – I could go on and on. There are honorable people in Congress – this is the time they need to step up and stand up for the common men/women/children in our society and not the way Trump and some Republicans do business with oligarchs, oil barons, climate deniers and Russian thugs like Putin.

Here he is folks…The Baron of BS, The Titan of Trickery and now? His ultimate Power Freak dream come true…the World’s Most Powerful man. Wasn’t this also true of Hitler? Stalin and other men who thought they were the answer to all the world’s ills?

The reason the Titan of Trickery will fail is simple. In a corporation, Mr. Titan gets to make ALL the rules. In a government with a penchant for democracy? No such thing. Now what will Mr. Titan of Trickery do when he faces millions of enraged mobs of Americans? He’ll do what the chicken livered Republican did yesterday at a state meeting in Colorado…run out the back door to avoid getting a butt kicking.

Oh but wait…The Titan of Trickery has 17 security agencies. What do we have? Only the US military whom the Baron of BS has angered by forcing top brass to resign. What about the National Guard? Same thing…their duty isn’t to protect a tyrant…it is to first protect their COUNTRY. And protect they will by ignoring the millions who plan to be in DC.

But but but…The Baron of BS has bikers who plan to be there..Not Hell’s Angels, The Breed or Pagans mind you, a bunch of crotch rocket bikers with the only colors they wear with a “TRUMP” name on their clothes. Smell the Baron’s BS?

Trump knows he couldn’t pay the Hell’s Angels to do his dirty work. They’d eat him alive. So he hired a bunch of nit wit crotch rocket bikers whom Hell’s Angels call, “Weakend Warriors” roflmao.

Trump is heading for a mess he is totally unprepared for. All he has are a few big mouths who are about to get their balls ripped off.

    1. Karen_in_KC January 17, 2017

      Oh I hope, I hope, I hope!! Can’t wait!

    2. mike January 17, 2017

Trumps Derangement Syndrome has what’s left of your brain. Sad!

  7. Eleanore Whitaker January 17, 2017

To prove just how angry Americans are at the Republican Party, yesterday there was a tally on the Rachel Maddow program about how many women plan to be in DC to protest Trump’s inauguration…that number as of last weekend is 200,000. That is more than the Civil Rights protestors who showed up on the DC Mall in the 60s.

Then, there were 2,000 protestors in MA…another 1500 in CO and several thousand others in OH, PA, NY and CA. The total number exceed more than 10,000 among the various states. They were protesting the Republicans spiteful repeal of the ACA and The Baron of BS’s taking office illegally.

Now, you can also add all who support John Lewis, a Civil Rights activist who was injured in an AL Civil Rights protest along with MLK.

And to prove what a bunch of racist bastards there are in the Republican states, 3 states: AL, MS and GA all decided to celebrate Robert E. Lee’s birthday on the same day as MLK’s federal holiday. 3 states who take the most from our federal taxes and still live as if they have a CONfederacy. These 3 states refuse to abide by federal laws and then hold out their hands for more more more more of our tax dollars? Time to FORCE them off the federal teat.

  8. Mama Bear January 17, 2017

This is exactly what I have been saying for a while…the legitimate press needs to back away from the WH – vacate the press room voluntarily. Stop writing about him. Period. Nothing. Watch him melt down if he does not see his name in WSJ, NYT or WP for a few weeks.

    1. Eleanore Whitaker January 17, 2017

Actually, he has the press so angry at him…oh gee…another group of people who want him gone…big surprise..right? They don’t really need to feel as if the Baron of BS is controlling the media. We already know he has the Russians hacking into our TV broadcasts. Most of us on the East Coast have seen those Russians TV programs interferring with normal US programming on TV we PAY for.

The minute it was out there that the US media would rely on news from BBC and foreign media Trump has NO control over, he met with the BBC…more threats from Little Dickhead? So he thinks. He may threaten people here in the US, but if he tries to intimidate the foreign press, the papparazzi will eat him alive.

      1. The lucky one January 17, 2017

It’s not the role of the press to “want him gone”. If they would do their job of investigative reporting we may have a chance of getting rid of all the demagogues and crooks. Trump is not the only one though given his actions he could be a good start.

        1. Eleanore Whitaker January 17, 2017

Trump is a lying, deceitful bastard. You want proof? Come to Atlantic City NJ and ask anyone who worked for him what a bastard he is. But, his mentally defective mind defines his bastarding as “being Powerful.”

Trump’s power will be gone in less than a month. You cannot break the laws and get away with it forever. Madoff did for 17 years but where is he now? Dying in a prison.

          1. The lucky one January 17, 2017

I have the same opinion of Trump as you except i doubt he will be gone as quickly as you think though I doubt he will last 4 years.

It would be nice to think that “You cannot break the laws and get away with it forever.” However Kissinger was accomplice to mass murder and is considered a friend by both Trump and Clinton and more recently Bush/Cheny committed treason while lying us into a false flag war in Iraq. So far they have not been brought to justice and they gave Kissinger a Nobel (thereby showing the utter corruption of the Nobel committee).

          2. Eleanore Whitaker January 17, 2017

Think about this…Trump had only one way to pay off billions he owes to Russia and China. The Chinese government said yesterday they are “taking off the gloves” with Trump. They know Americans hate Trump as much as the Chinese, Europeans and South Americans all do.

Kissinger was not guilty of ordering any murders. That’s where slandering Kissingers begins and end. Putin IS guilty of ordering the murders of two very famous dissenting journalists, Boris Nemtsov, being the most recent. Sorry but unless you are directly involved in ordering murders, you can say the same of GHWB who looked the other way when his then Buddy Saddam Hussein was murdering some of his own people.

Kissinger didn’t order any murders. That is the ONLY way to lob the crime of murder on anyone. But let’s get back to that pig Trump…He does business with ONLY countries he KNOWS are hostile to the the US for one reason…he stupidly thinks these countries will take his side against the US if he comes down to it. But, that just shows what an asshat he really is. Did he actually think he could borrow billions from ANY loan shark, Russian or not, and they wouldn’t keep some form of “insurance” to make sure he pays up?

          3. The lucky one January 17, 2017

“Mr. Kissinger’s most significant historical act was executing Richard Nixon’s orders to conduct the most massive bombing campaign, largely of civilian targets, in world history. He dropped 3.7 million tons of bombs** between January 1969 and January 1973 – nearly twice the two million dropped on all of Europe and the Pacific in World War II. He secretly and illegally devastated villages throughout areas of Cambodia inhabited by a U.S. Embassy-estimated two million people; quadrupled the bombing of Laos and laid waste to the 700-year old civilization on the Plain of Jars; and struck civilian targets throughout North Vietnam – Haiphong harbor, dikes, cities, Bach Mai Hospital – which even Lyndon Johnson had avoided. His aerial slaughter helped kill, wound or make homeless an officially-estimated six million human beings**, mostly civilians who posed no threat whatsoever to U.S. national security and had committed no offense against it.”

I’m not absolving Bush/Cheney or anyone else for their atrocities but Kissinger is as despicable a human being as lives today.

          4. Dominick Vila January 17, 2017

He also thinks he can intimidate them and force them to make concessions. Instead, China is getting ready to confront us, diplomatically, on trade, using currency (they have lots of dollars that they can dump), and military if necessary.

          5. dpaano January 17, 2017

My fear is that he pisses off North Korea…..they have a nuclear bomb pointed directly at the West Coast! I would NOT be happy to suddenly find Las Vegas is a coastal town!!! I have enough worries wondering when Yellowstone is going to blow it’s mega volcano and take out the entire world!! I don’t need to fret about North Korea! So, Trump better shut his big mouth and quit bugging these countries or they’re going to fight back. Luckily for him, he has a bomb shelter he can hide in…..the rest of us aren’t that lucky!

          6. Dominick Vila January 17, 2017

One of the consequences of Trump’s antagonistic attitude towards China is that we may no longer be able to use them as an intermediary to rein in Kim Jong Un. Needless to say, If that nut tries anything against us, North Korea will be no more, but that may no happen without us enduring catastrophic pain thanks to the actions of an inexperienced lunatic.

          7. dpaano January 19, 2017

And, the catastrophic pain will be the West Coast since he seems to have his nuclear missile aimed in that direction. I may not be here long to comment if that happens! It’s hard waiting to see what happens first….the mega-volcano at Yellowstone going off or North Korea blasting the entire West Coast to smithereens!!! Should be interesting.

          8. Independent1 January 20, 2017

Despite all the hyperbole, North Korea hasn’t successfully launched any rockets that could deliver a nuclear device to America. I believe NK has tried about 8 launches of rockets and all but one have failed.

          9. dpaano January 20, 2017

I wonder, once again, if he’s going to charge a tariff on all his clothing line that he has manufactured in China and Vietnam….not to mention Ivanka’s jewelry and shoe line! Should be interesting to see….he certainly kept that close to the vest during the campaign! Of course, if I remember correctly, Macy’s dump his clothing line during the campaign!

          13. Dominick Vila January 19, 2017

Don’t be surprised if there are exemptions. The same goes for deportations. I don’t expect Slovenians to be among those heading home.

          14. dpaano January 19, 2017

Just read in today’s L.A. Times that “Immediate Immigration Action Likely.” Apparently he’s going to start immediately with transforming the immigration system. He’s going to do away with the protections on people who came here as children and is threatening to send them back to countries that they have NO idea how to live in. He’s also planning on performing “high profile” raids and will “widen” the range of people singled out for deportation. Even people who have committed minor crimes will not be safe!
Additionally, California’s climate policy powers are now at risk as his new EPA nominee, Scott Pruit, refuses to say whether or not he’s going to do away with the waiver we had with the government to set our own emissions standards, etc. Without that, we can’t fight them and keep them from turning our state into another China or Singapore! It’s getting pretty scary, and I don’t relish tomorrow after the inauguration. He’s going to hit the Oval Office with his pen and change the world for the worse! Unfortunately, there appears to be nothing we can do about it! Our Governor, however, will fight it tooth and nail and has even hired the past-AG, Holder, to handle any legal challenges with the government. This should be interesting, but still scary!

          15. dpaano January 19, 2017

Whoa….that’s not going to look good for the Trumpster!!! If we lose jobs because of his idiocy, the blame will go directly to him!!!

As President Obama leaves office, you might appreciate seeing a video created by Environment America on his significant legacy of improving the quality of the water we drink, air we breathe and an ability for for descendants to enjoy our national parks and other public lands.

          17. dpaano January 20, 2017

I watched it….really good. Unfortunately, Trump and his nominee for the Environmental Committee has threatened to not approve the waiver that the State of California has with the Federal government that allows us to set up our OWN environmental laws for the state. The waiver expires very soon, and this would be a travesty! It means that the Federal government can come into California and undo all of the good that our Governor and our state legislature has done when it comes to environmental laws! We have some of the strictest environmental laws in the nation, but they were voted on by our citizens and were approved! To just be able to go in and throw them out would NOT be a good thing for us! We’ve cleaned up our air and our environment a great deal in the past few years….and I don’t think the people of California want to go back to the L.A. smog, etc.! Not sure what happened to his mantra about “states rights.” He wants to take away OUR state’s rights to monitor OUR environment!

But, Lucky One, who owns most of the media nowadays….it’s the conservatives. They won’t leave Trump alone….he’s their man of the hour! We need more journalists that are independent and work for newspapers, magazines, etc. that are more bipartisan in nature and less total right-wing “tea party” conservatives!

          1. idamag January 18, 2017

I find Newsweek is one of the honest ones left.

          2. dpaano January 19, 2017

I read “The Week,” which is a pretty bipartisan magazine that reports both sides of the story. I do like Newsweek also.

        We can hope!!!

    2. mike January 17, 2017

What it will show is that the MSM has their own agenda not that they have historically had as the watch dog of govt. for open and public accesss and to disseminate information.

“Trump’s attacks pose “a deep danger for legitimate, aggressive journalism.” Actually that should be a stimulus to legitimate, aggressive journalism, something we have had precious little of for quite some time.

“The reporters should be out uncovering the seediness” Exactly, and not just Trump’s. There is enough seediness in our country to keep all journalists busy.

    1. Eleanore Whitaker January 17, 2017

No one believes a word out of Trump’s mouth. Go over all of those smear campaigns he used to rip Hillary apart. These are pure Putin smear tactics. When men like Trump and Putin know we’ve got their number, ALL they have is to use smear tactics.

So, emails between Hillary and one of her staff is the most heinous crime on earth but Trump sidling up to a murderer of 34 journalists and countless others well that’s just “normal?”

    2. idamag January 17, 2017

We have had very little journalism as of late.

      1. dpaano January 17, 2017

It just seems lately that our journalists have been bought and paid for by the conservative side of the country and to hell with the rest of the nation! If they had concentrated more on Trump’s shortfalls and less on Hillary’s almost non-existent e-mail problems, things might have been different! Where were they during the campaign…..they were busy kissing Trump’s butt! It’s pretty sad what our media has come to, but then again, who owns most of it?

        1. Independent1 January 17, 2017

As much as I’d like to agree with that, I’m convinced the GOP actually stole the election by hacking the vote counting computers in more than a dozen states where the GOP has a big presence in the states’ government. So I really don’t think Trump winning had anything to do with Hillary or anyone else failing to do something different.

And as much as Comey’s last minute histrionics, although I think they did influence many people’s minds in the wrong way, I think without the GOPers hacking the vote counting machines, Hillary would have won in both a popular and Electoral College landslide of mammoth proportions – as it is she took the popular vote by 4.5% even with the GOP hackers adding fraudlently who knows how many votes to Trump’s voter count in order to get his wins in 8-10 states CNN’s exit polls showed Hillary should have won, some of them easily. .

          1. dpaano January 19, 2017

You’ve probably got a point there….altho’ Trump keeps saying that none of the voting machines could be hacked….what in the heck does HE know!!! NOTHING!!

          2. Independent1 January 21, 2017

Trump kept insisting that the election was rigged; he did that as reverse psychology because he knew it was going to be rigged in his favor; and that if he kept claiming that it was rigged, most people in America would insist that it wasn’t rigged and actually come to believe it couldn’t be rigged.

And when his campaign team kept claiming that despite the bad polls that he was going to win because they had all these people in the bushes who were going to come out at election time, the people they were talking about were the hackers the GOP was building up as they installed specially rigged computers into the voting sites in over a dozen GOP-run states.

They had two motives for drastically reducing voting sites in battleground states like FL, NC, OH, Wi, PA and a number of others: One was to make it harder for minorities to vote, the other was to have fewer places where they had to hack the voting machines.

I think the GOP didn’t use the tactic described in the article below in the 2012 election because polls were actually showing that Romney could win, but given Trumps enormous unpopularity with a large segment of the American population, I think the GOP decided they had no chance in the 2016 election unless they rigged it.

See this about hacking voting machines – it only takes about ten dollars worth of parts.

Hacking voting machines: Easier than ever imagined

Millions of Americans are already waiting for hours outside of polling places to vote for the next president of the United States. All of that might not matter though, as some security pros say the entire election can be rigged all too easily.

In one example, it wouldn’t take much more than ten dollars’ worth of parts from any RadioShack store to steal and manipulate votes. It’s called a man-in-the-middle attack and the computer program that logs the results on electronic voting machines isn’t even compromised.

“It’s a classic attack on security devices,” Roger Johnston tells Popular Science. “You implant a microprocessor or some other electronic device into the voting machine, and that lets you control the voting and turn cheating on and off. We’re basically interfering with transmitting the voter’s intent.”

According to the magazine, anyone from a high-school student to an octogenarian could corrupt the voting process. Johnston is the head of the Vulnerability Assessment Team at Argonne National Laboratory and has done it himself, even on camera. It wouldn’t be hard for others, he says, and some fear that that could easily be the case on Election Day. And with many prediction polls estimating a close contest between President Barack Obama and Republican Party challenger Mitt Romney this year, it wouldn’t take much to render the entire contest corrupted.

On the website for Argonne, Johnston says Americans believe too often that election officials assume — incorrectly — that it takes a computer genius capable of a nation-state cyberassault or a frazzled, Hollywood-designed hacker to turn an electronic voting machine on its head. And while that route
is once that can be taken too, it isn’t the only way to ruin an

Insider threats from election officials or anyone with access to a voting machine could easily alter contests, and monitors
aren’t necessarily on the look-out for that kind of unauthorized access.

Thomas J. And although it probably doesn’t matter to you because all you probably do is live in your trailer and snort coke, but on top of leading our nation far better the last 8 years than any recent Republican with respect to the economy (no recession starting in 8 years) and job creation (more jobs created than under the 12 years of the 2 Bushes) and far fewer people killed in our overseas offices; Obama has done more for the air you breathe and the water you may drink and the ability of your descendants to enjoy America’s national parks and public lands and even for t he animals and fishes to live than the last 18 presidents combined!!!

          8. Jim Samaras January 20, 2017

Your assertion of where I live and what I do in my spare time is typical of an angry, immature, maladjusted human being. Your insignificance is obvious as your fear of losing a flunky government job or your gubbermint check not just appearing in the mailbox any more, while well founded as Trump will put up with none of this nonsense, makes you sound like a whining little biotch.

  12. Wolfesgang January 17, 2017

“‘I want ’em out of the building’, a tough (but not tough enough to be identified) Trump official told Esquire.” Can anyone believe this? In one of the world’s oldest democracies? What’s the United States coming to? The American taxpayer supposed to be pimping for Trumpist thugs?

  13. idamag January 17, 2017

A few years ago, even some of the Republicans had the decency to not want a person, like trump for president. He may have ties to the mob. He is a vulgarian. He says outrageous things. He brags about sexually assaulting women and he is their hero. He is what they are.

    1. J, Dial January 17, 2017

Heck, it was just a few weeks ago. Such is the idealogical “win at all costs” mindset of some conservatives (granted, not all) that they would prefer Trump over preserving rights and practical governance.

      1. idamag January 21, 2017

I know members of the senator, from Idaho, Crapo’s family. When the tapes of the crotch grabbing came out he refused to endorse trump and the party went after him. He endorsed trump. The Republican Party has lost all semblance of civility. Even decent Republicans are owned and dare not criticize their party. The republicans have divided up our country more than it was before Fort Sumter was fired on. The division is not healthy. But, I am not coming forward with my hand out in friendship no more than I would have in nazi Germany. They created the division.

    2. Independent1 January 20, 2017

Ida, have you gotten a chance to view this video on Obama’s environmental accomplishments?

      1. idamag January 21, 2017

All that progress on the way out.

        1. Independent1 January 21, 2017

I think a lot of it is designated in a way that it would take a super majority in Congress to undo it. So unless the GOP gets a lot of Dems to go along with them, I don’t think Trump can undo a lot of what Obama has mandated.

          1. idamag January 21, 2017

I hope you are right. However, when they blatantly violate the Constitution by refusing to consider Obama’s appointee, I don’t expect any honesty from the Republicans and any push back from the Democrats.

          2. Independent1 January 21, 2017

Despite my comment, I’m concerned too because today’s Republicans have lost all sense of decency and fair play and will do everything deviously imaginable to get their own way and to line their pockets with money. The emulate the very existence of Satan.

  14. Aaron_of_Portsmouth January 17, 2017

Great advice to ignore Trump. Wherever he appears, he should be ignored to a large extent because we’re dealing when a buffoon with a child’s emotional state whose on;y claim to fame is being able to make more money from the huge seed money gifted him by a shady dad, and shadier and grand-father, has successfully thrived in a false reality world on TV for so long, has the ability to blow hot air and titillate the senses of the hapless who are enthralled whenever he rants, and are ecstatic to hear vague promises of “More Jobs”(manufacturing and coal jobs mind you), successfully appeals to the basest instincts of the GOP base, and “tells it like it is”, even when it’s a lie.

With all that and more in mind, this is a pathetic President-Elect that doesn’t to be given the time of day, doesn’t deserve so much as a junior high school marching band to perform for him, and surely doesn’t deserve to have anyone show up to a Press conference that will certainly dissolve into a petulance fest. Time to treat Donald as a non-entity who is devoid of all vestiges of decency no matter what kind of wall he promises to build, or how effortlessly he attracts racist elements to him. The Cabinet picks and the GOP for the most part are equally dissolute.

    1. mike January 17, 2017

Now you’ve got! 3 days before the collapse of Obama’s legacy, a legacy built on sand.
      My My such anger!

      1. Aaron_of_Portsmouth January 17, 2017

If you want anger, look no further than yourself and Trump.

        1. Jim Samaras January 18, 2017

Yes, our anger was shown at the voting booth against the policies of Obama and his “legacies”. Yours is shown in the childlike antics of the left. Stomping their feet and refusing to show up at the inauguration. Ridiculous!

          1. Aaron_of_Portsmouth January 18, 2017

Still being a pom pom boy.

    2. Jim Samaras January 17, 2017

While a million dollars may seem like “huge seed money” for many hand to mouth Americans, depending on your business it’s not THAT much. Real estate relies predominantly on OPM and turning that into what he has is note worthy. The MSM will be coming around shortly. Like you and others on this board it’s going to take some getting used to for the press to understand that he will from now on determine the spin not them. Enjoy and embrace the change Aaron

      1. Aaron_of_Portsmouth January 17, 2017

You’ve a warped imagination. What change are you hoping for? A change for lechery, fracking galore, unabashed deceit, a poisoned environment with more global warming? Is this your idea of change?
That’s a change I won’t embrace. You live in a world of delusions.

        1. Jim Samaras January 17, 2017

You’re a smart guy Aaron. We spend more on education in this country per child than anyplace in the world. If he brings down the cost and brings up the value you’ll jump on board and that should be a bipartisan goal. Don’t be shocked if the climate change reverses itself over the next few years because it’s bound to over time with or without mans intervention. I’ll enjoy hearing your opinion 4 years from now if/when things improve

  15. Thomas_Blaney January 17, 2017

Fake news conference by a fake president.

  16. J, Dial January 17, 2017

Report only his actions with regard to governing, and not one word of his tantrums, tweets, boasts.

  17. Thomas Martin January 17, 2017

Simply do not attend. There are multiple ways to get information. Don’t waste your time. Is it really that important to say you were at the White House?

  18. leonardo311 January 17, 2017

Finally someone is getting it, to our friends in the Press “turn your back on the ‘man” use your resources to uncover what he has been hiding and lets put this disaster behind us.

He would only have been a footnote of “also rans” if the media hadn’t published his every utterance and tweet, now we have a cancer that must be excised, the best way to do that is to ignore him completely, don’t use his name, don’t publish his photo. When reporting news around the President, refer to him by title alone, and a brief summary of what he said, except the really stupid stuff, should be in quotations and bold text.

  19. dpaano January 17, 2017

I agree….our journalists need to turn their backs on this idiot. The American public are getting tired of hearing about his obnoxious tweets, etc. We’ve all pretty much figured out that he’s a thin-skinned narcissistic idiot with no filters whatsoever on ANYTHING that he says or tweets about! They need to concentrate on all the REAL stories that are out there about Trump and his cohorts! Trust me, there’s plenty of good stuff to write about if they concentrated their efforts on those real stories! Trump will go absolutely bonkers if the press suddenly turned away from him and failed to “adore” him as much as he thinks they should! That’s pretty much the ONLY reason I believe he says what he says so frequently….he thrives on the attention! If we don’t give him any, maybe he’ll go away or grow up! I’m kinda hoping for either one!

    1. Dan S January 17, 2017

He’s becoming far too predictable. Alec Baldwin does his Trump impersonation on SNL and the next day he’s whining how unfair and sad they are ad nauseum. Or if a certain celebrity like say Meryl Streep says something he doesn’t like he lashes out at them. He’ll spend more time griping how the media covers him than actual governing. That may not be such a bad thing

      1. Aaron_of_Portsmouth January 17, 2017

If only we could kidnap Donald momentarily, and substitute Alec in his place on Inauguration Day. No one would be the wiser.

      2. dpaano January 19, 2017

Yeah, it might keep him busy so he doesn’t screw up our nation any more than he has said he would!!!

I’d love to see it happen, but the media is just another corporation. If a corporation makes lots of money off a buffoon it will make no difference to them that he’s a buffoon. Now if the american people stop paying attention to him then maybe the media will figure he’s not as news worthy, but the american people has brought us most of the garbage we see on TV, catering to the lowest common denominator. It’s about money, not morals, and thus president Donald Trump

  21. Jmz Nesky January 18, 2017

Exactly! They’re just doing what he expects them to do, report everything Trump so that when they do report something un-Trump, he will lash back making them focus on Trump even more. If they have something substantial to report for or against the savior elect then they should follow through instead of whining and trying to defend their position.. Tell it like it is, show documented proof and let the chips fall where they may.. Only then might the news media find saving grace with the public and Trump’s ‘fake news’ barking will fall to the wayside..

  22. Nativegrammy January 18, 2017

Have already made this comment several days ago, if Trump does again what he did to Acosta from CNN or goes even further to actually have a reporter thrown out of a news conference for asking a “difficult” question, every member of the media needs to stand, turn their backs and walk out! Trump HAS TO BE HELD to the same standard as every other president in our history. All credible news sources, both print journalism and TV as well as investigative, have a responsibility of keeping this lying, truly ignorant man, Trump, accountable for HIS lies, HIS distortions and/or HIS refusal to answer a direct question period, and let the chips fall where they may! This is not a time to fear imagined or even real threats from this bully of a man. All bullies are just little scared children with massive insecurities and usually are not very bright! It might also be a good idea to carry a tablet with a program to immediately access anything Trump has uttered that in any way reflects on the substance of the question being asked of Trump and play it back to him, because I guarantee he will twist and lie and deliberately contradict anything he has previously said, IF HE CAN REMEMBER that is…….Putting it simply, Donald Trump lies more before breakfast than most politicians do in a month of Sundays!

    1. dbtheonly January 18, 2017

You say that as if there’s a way to do so.

      Hold Disgusting Donald accountable?

      By whom?
      The Lamestream Media?

By constantly pointing out his lies and misstatements? That’s worked well so far.
By refusing to cover his actions? Is that possible? Does it matter? Disgusting Donald has his own methods of communication and refusing to cover him strikes me as the same as throwing Brer Rabbit into the briar patch.

  23. ivory69690@yahoo.com January 18, 2017

ok here’s the bottom ,well with DONNY DUMP that’s all there are BOTTOM OF THE BARREL LINES another scum at the bottom of the DUMPSTER;s plan . its kind of like a joke , him saying I know something you don’t know and ill tell you in a day or 2 or I have plans for this and that and im not ready to let you know this right yet . this save him from what he enjoys doing the most LIE’S still he seem to enjoy (not only acting the retarded child ) but thinking he knows every thing and want to play every one as thy all wait for his stupid things he has in that full of B/S head of his . im sure these ill tell you later and ill let you know my secret later he has used many times , like to the people the last words thy heard from the POS was that before he went bankrupted and bury so many people .

for the life of me I cant understand why any Billionaire would want to take a government job ? confusing to me no common sense in this the only thing I can think of there DONNY DUMP greed that has some thing to do with it .what there’s billionaire will make in a year thy can make in a day not working for the government with the DUMPSTER at the head of it all it can only be no good common sense dose show that the only reason for this is there has to be plans of making a lot of money above and beyond the money for a year as a government worker . common sense would point more to a FRAUD,CON & SCAMMING money out of the country and yes the world also . with these greedy dirt bags that’s the only understandable answer

    1. dbtheonly January 20, 2017

Generally they take the jobs as they recognize that money is not the ultimate measure of success. From the “Dollar a year men” of WWII, through any number of Federal Judges; there have been any number of persons in public service who could have made more money elsewhere. The good of the country, the ability to make a difference, money isn’t the only measure.

      1. ivory69690@yahoo.com January 20, 2017

that’s Harder to believe when these people have anything to do with DONNY DUMPSTER just that POS it has to do with greed and con fraud & scamming money
