On Friday afternoon, President Barack Obama will deliver remarks on the state of the economy from the Port of New Orleans, Louisiana. The president’s speech comes on the same day as a surprisingly positive jobs report, which found that the U.S. economy added 204,000 jobs in October, despite the 16-day government shutdown.
