If you type in Snopes Muslim Faith, you’ll find a link to a snopes article which clearly shows that when Obama said: “you’re right that McCain has not talked much about my Muslim Faith…”, he was only trying to clarify his accusation that the GOP, not necessaril McCain himself, that was widely advertising thisrediculous notion that he’s a Muslim and not a Christian … as he has constantly asserted. He finishes the interview by saying:” What I think is fair to say, is that coming out of the Republican camp, there have been efforts to suggest, that I’m not what I say I am when it comes to my faith, something that I find deeply offensive, and that has been going on for a pretty long time.”

The laissez-faire system the right is proposing would give us a brutal and corrupt system like they have in today’s China and Putin’s Russia—with no government benefits or constitutional protections for ordinary citizens, leaving the great mass of people open to the most ruthless and corrupt exploitation, i.e. virtual slave labour, in many instances.

That’s why, when people learn EXACTLY what GOP candidates stand for, Republicans cannot win a nationwide election.

I honestly don’t know what more to say to someone who—even after I show him countries where a balanced and fair social democratic approach works, and works well, and has done for over 50 years, and even after I show him the population under this highly efficient and prosperous system is nearly 125 MILLION (at least), and he admits to me, that, yes, it works—STILL prefers the corrupt abuses of CRONY CAPITALISM and its WILD UNRELIABILITY for all but the wealthiest—a system that almost brought the global house CRASHING DOWN around our ears in 2008, and one that adamantly resists any SERIOUS efforts to make it clean up its act, before it causes ANOTHER MELTDOWN in the not-so-distant future—this time almost certainly accompanied by ECONOMIC IMPLOSION.

No amount of absolutely unnecessary suffering on the part of MILLIONS of your fellow countrymen—even children—can shake your ideological obsessions and CHANGE YOUR MIND.

The prospect of a population with no way to defend itself from Big Money—once its servants (for whom you eagerly vote) have trashed the benefits, protections and advances it has taken GENERATIONS to secure—and with nowhere to turn—except, perhaps, to violent rebellion—does not phase you.

Rather than embrace the highest level of civilization the world has EVER seen, as achieved in nations like Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Holland, you prefer more of the SAME CORRUPTION AND UNCERTAINTY.
