David Carr, revered journalist and media critic at the The New York Times, passed away suddenly on Thursday night, age 58. Carr famously wrote on life itself: “The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn’t end any time soon.”

Never mind this tiresome business about no establishment of religion, the very holy Republican majority in their priestly robes have liberated the nation’s public school football coaches to get on with the serious business of saving souls.
