Tear gas, flashbang grenades and heavily armed men in armored vehicles are not common sights on the streets of a small town in America. The scenes of militarized police pointing assault rifles at peaceful protestors were disturbing even before two journalists were arrested for “trespassing” at a McDonald’s.
