On Tuesday afternoon, Secretary of State John Kerry and Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel will testify at the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to argue that Congress should support President Barack Obama’s case for military intervention in Syria. Kerry and Hagel will be joined by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Martin Dempsey. The testimony comes days after the UN confirmed that the Syrian government authorized the use of sarin gas on its own people.
